Hello, I purchesed this theme a couple of months ago and I’m almost ready to publish. But there seems tot a little bug. When I try to make chabges via Theme Options, I can’t click any of the buttons (for instance chnging ‘make email clickable’) from ‘no’ to ‘yes’ and when hitting the ‘save all changes’ button after making some other changes, nothing happens. It has worked before. How do we fix this?

I checked the theme but it seems to not contain an option ‘make email clickable’ as you provide in your example. Could you please provide more information about this option? Based on our changelog it doesn’t seem we removed any option from this theme.

The theme is fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress also the dedicated shortcodes which this theme is using doesn’t create any type of problems. At the moment the only thing our team is working on before providing the new version is checking if Boston WP is compatible with all the bundled plugins.

Hi! I have not successfully retrieved any contact messages that are being sent from the contact us form. It is based on the demo contact form (on the “Contact Us” page), it will always display the green message “Thank You! We will contact you shortly.” after each test. I had edited the demo form to send to my email address for testing, I had also included the shortcode “[contact_form mailto=”g*@i*.com”] that you had previously recommended for a fellow buyer that ran into this problem but still no messages are coming into my inbox. Please advise, ty! (note: I opened a ticket on createIT support but have not received a response yet)

If the green message is shown, that’s mean the message successfully leave the site which suggests the issue is not created by the theme.
This problem might be created by the email provider which might be blocking these messages. For example, if your email server is yahoo.com but your email claims to be sent from your website’s domain, chances are your form notification will be blocked before it even reaches the spam folder. To solve this issue please try to use SMTP to send emails. To do this you can use one free to use plugins like for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-smtp/

I try to install the theme from Wordpress importing the .zip file and appears the missage “The link you followed has expired”, “Please try again”. I have tryed but the message appers each time. How I can do it? Thanks

Is that happening when you’re uploading bostontheme.zip via Appearance > Themes? One of reasons for that can be upload size limit on your server. Here: LINK you will find information how to increase it. 64MB should be enough for Boston theme. In case of problems with that please contact our support via support@createit.pl

If you’ve lost some of your changes after update it could mean that you have implemented some changes directly in the theme files, which are overridden during the update. If you want to edit some theme files please keep all of the custom changes in the child theme.

Can I install visual editor onto this site? Working with short codes is unrealistic for my client who wants to maintain the site themselves. Is there something I can install which would make the experience easier for them?

Disappointing. I feel cheated out of my money. Non of the description or screenshots show that this is how you would have to work with the CMS. My client is now not happy and wants their money back and are going to get another developer to do the job. So I now have not only lost a client I have also lost $49.
Surely you couldn’t have thought this was a user friendly way to develop a theme?

You can define your email address (where messages will be sent) with mailto parameter in contact form shortcode. Please find below example of a shortcode:

Hello, I am using the ken burns slider, it has an effect where it zooms in on the photo. At the very end it “jerks” back to the normal zoom on the photo before transitioning to the next slide. Is it possible to have it transition without the zoom out, so it will look smoother? let me know… thanks!
