Love the look of this theme, my company is interested in getting this theme for one of our communities, but wanted to know if you had a recommendation for a possible WP plugin that would integrate a slider that would show featured pages/blog posts into the home page of this theme?
I have not integrated any other sliders with the theme so it’s difficult to recommend one. However the theme does come with it’s own slider and it’s pretty easy to display posts/pages within the slide with a small code change which I can show you.
Thanks for getting back to me. My boss and I are trying to decide between Bounce and Buddy . I’m leaning towards buddy, he’s leaning towards Bounce. We love that they both are responsive.
If you have any questions with regards to which one to go for let me know.
sorry if it s a dumb question but with shortcodes.. is there a lot of copying and pasting and working it out or is there a short code built in editor like I have used in other sites? instead of copying and pasting or writing shortcodes I just press a button. Thanks in advance.
The theme comes with a shortcode generator which allows you to select any of the theme shortcodes from a dropdown menu and auto insert them into the page.
Still the best BP theme around… we built http://smeak.com on this theme, and yes we have done extensive modifications to the original css, but without the foundation of this brilliant theme, none of this would have been possible.. thank you
Thanks for the comments Greg, really appreciate it.
Hello. I purchased Bounce a few days ago and love the look and feature set. Unfortunately, I’m not a programmer so it’s all a bit intimidating to me. I did learn to use BP fairly well, so maybe I can learn Bounce as well. Per your instructions, I have WP, BP and Bounce installed.
Im creating this site to help companies find and hire the unemployed. The idea is to help the unemployed stand out with profiles, videos and slides. I also want tp provide them with a great forum experience so they can help and support each other.
1) As a non-programmer, Is Bounce the right tool for me?
2) Do you have a video or visual tutorial?
3) if I use a Bounce theme, will I still use BP tools for creating my custom profiles or can I do everything with Bounce?
4) Any other advice for me?
Sorry for the long post, but I’d really like to make this work. Thanks.
1) You do not need to be a programmer to use Bounce – you don’t need to be a programmer to use any theme really. You should try to get a basic knowledge or CSS and HTML for your own benefit but it’s not required to use the theme.
2) There are no video tutorials but the help file includes images.
3) Yes, BP handels all this, there’s no point in the theme doing it if BP already offers these features.
4) If you have any support questions ask them at http://ghostpool.ticksy.com

Sorry for the inconvenience but we do point this out in the help file, item page and your theme options page.
Clap clap clap clap clap !
Bravo and thanks ! Updated BP 1.7 guys you rock^^
After applying the latest updated version (1.9.3) to my site. After reloading a few times – my current theme still says – Bounce 1.9.2
There is a typo in the style sheet so it still says 1.9.2 but the latest version is definitely 1.9.3.

I wish the profile pictures were bigger.
This an easily be changed with a small code change which I can show you if you decide to purchase the theme.
scratch that. Fixed it.
I do have a question. Is there a plugin you recommend to add captcha to the register page? I’ve tried the popular captcha plugin in the WP repository, but it doesn’t seem to work on the BBpress pages. My client gets bombarded by bot registrations.
yep – sorry. Half the themeforest designers use the comments, half have a help page.
I’ve found another bug in the new update. When you use a sub menu and a sub sub menu that’s too close to the right side, the sub sub menu overlaps the sub menu. It happens in your demo – you’ll need to make your browser window about the width of the site, then mouse over buddypress -> example homepage to see what I mean. The effect is much worse if you use drop downs and submenus close to the right side of the site.
1) That’s difficult to say, there’s nothing in the theme that specifically does this, it sounds like something you would need to hire a developer to do, or you can construct it yourself using the theme shortcodes.
2) This can be done using the BuddyPress plugin which this theme works with.
3) I’m not familiar with “chat connection”? Instant chat is not possible, but this can be done using a plugin.
Hi, congrats for the theme.
I am having compatibility problems with Internet Explorer styles. Take a look:
I need help please.
Please submit all your support questions at http://ghostpool.ticksy.com and describe your exact problem as compatibility problems is rather vague.
Wow such a beautiful theme! Is it compatible with the Buddypress Courseware plugin?
Unfortunately I have not tested the theme with this plugin so I cannot say whether it works or not.
Looks like a great theme. couple of questions.
I love the look of the frontpage. i would like to embed an event calendar on frontpage. Do you think this would be possible and still keep the general layout?
Also, how does the demo setup work? Do you have to have a clean install meaning I would lose my current plugins configurations and categories.
Obviously it all depends on the calendar, but if they provide a shortcode to insert the calendar into pages then you should be able to easily add it to the existing homepage layout.
No you do not need a clean install, the theme preinstalls the homepage layout and you have the option to import the demo content so all the pages from the demo are added to your installation.
scratches head… full width page template?
blank page template … really is … blank page… i mean… nothing? what?
Why would you expect a blank page template to be anything other than a blank page? The demo page clearly shows it is a blank page. Basically this allows you to create your own layouts using the theme shortcodes with the theme’s own styling applied to any content you add, so it’s great for creating your own landing pages.
The theme comes with a fullwidth page option is this is what you’re asking, if you require support on this or anything else please submit all your support questions at http://ghostpool.ticksy.com
i want some pages to have full width, some to have sidebar… possible?
