Hi. I use the ‘Custom font’ and try to change the font from ‘Great Vibes’ to the font I want, but it doesn’t seems to work. I have added the font under the general setting as you mention in the manual. How do I solve this? Thanks!

We are having an issue on the blog page of greenshuttersgardencentre.com. The “Show more” button at the bottom doesn’t seem to work and it is not always displaying the blogs in chronological order. If you could have a quick look, that would be great.

Hi is this compatible with PHP 8? When I update from 7.4 to 8 the site goes down. I have tried disabling all plugins but the site still goes down when updating php. Could it be the theme? I am running version 2.1 of the theme and it appears to be up to date.Thanks

At the moment latest version of the theme is 3.4, please see change log. Latest version of the theme is compatible with PHP 8.
To update theme and bundled plugins please follow instructions from this article – How To Update A WordPress Theme And Plugins. After you update the theme all of the bundled plugins with available updates should be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins.

Changes you’ve made in content and via theme options will not be lost. We do however always recommend creating a backup version of your website before updating the theme, in the event something unexpected occurs during the update process.

Hi Guys, My end client uses Cabin theme and is very happy with it. One problem – I need to remove all references to googleapis with reference to fonts. This is a GDPR requirement In germany where my client is based. Fonts need to be loaded locally,
I sued a plugin to switch fonts to local load. All good except for one reference:

This seems to be related to the main menu and I can’t see how to remove it from the code.
Any ideas here pls?

Just checking does ‘Import Demo Content > Import type: All’ replace/delete the content of your current pages or simply add new pages? Also if I renew support can I get updated versions of included premium theme plugins?

We usually recommend importing the demo on a clean installation. You can for sure import it over your existing content, however then we would recommend you to always make a backup of your existing content as it might happen that your content will get overwritten sometimes.
You should know that in case you need latest version of any bundled plugin you can submit a ticket at our Help Center or contact us through this email (just add your purchase code in the mail) and our support agents will provide you with latest version.

Thanks for the reply and info. I really just wanted to import the home page slider from the ‘Cedar’ Cabin template as I cant figure out how I set the Select Slider to be a fixed width (same as the content) and not full screen – is there a simple setting for this?

The slider used on the homepage of this demo is LayerSlider.
The best approach if you want to check the settings or any element from the demo is to create local test website. For this you need to install local server, e.g. XAMPP or WAMP. Then install WP, Cabin, plugins and import demo content to your local testing website and check how the pages have been built and what settings/elements have been applied.

I continue to have issues with your theme. The WP Bakery formatting is totally off. You got rid of some of the original, valuable features. The “full screen” row setting puts things in the grid, and then when I fix that, it won’t make anything full screen. It’s a complete mess.

Hi there! I just installed the parent and child themes, and I’m getting an error saying “Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.” Any clues?

Please understand that Cabin theme was released before the ‘equal column height’ option was added to WPBakery and for sustainability reasons we had to leave out this option so it wouldn’t effect users who already built their sites using the theme. For this reason we do recommended following instructions from this article to set up equal column height – How To Create Equal Height Columns Using The Elements Holder Shortcode.

Hi, Why is the WP Bakery Post Grid element not available in the version of the page builder included with the theme?
ok I managed to enable the VC Post Grid in the theme options. However, when displaying the posts I’m seeing a shortcode string idner the post title instead of the actual read more button: [vc_btn link=”post_link” title=”Read more” style=”flat” shape=”rounded” color=”juicy-pink” size=”md” align=”left”]

We are running php 7.4 on our server and we are seeing following php warnings and notices cluttering our error logs:
1. PHP Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in /wp-content/themes/cabin/framework/lib/qode.functions.php on line 305
I fixed this issue by correcting your code in mentioned file as follows: changed “if(array_key_exists($key, $meta_data))” to “if(is_array($meta_data) && array_key_exists($key, $meta_data))”
2. PHP Notice: A non well formed numeric value encountered in /var/www/prost-mahlzeit.de/htdocs/wp-content/themes/cabin/css/style_dynamic_callback.php on line 10778
I am guessing there is a variable value which should be formatted as int but for some reason isn’t clearly formatted as int. Might be a comma issue or something.
