When an update to the theme to be compatible with woocomerce 2.0

We will be releasing an update to Camp in the next day or two that will support WooCommerce 2.0. Then you can feel free to upgrade your plugin.

Feel free to follow us on twitter or our support forums to find out when we release the update in the next 24-48 hours.

Our latest update is available, WooCommerce 2.0 is now supported.

Hi, I have prematurely upgraded WooCommerce and ran in to a few hickups. The “Shop” display was out of whack so I follow their instructions and copied the page.php file, renamed the copy to woocommerce.php and that fixed the shop layout (catalog). But now the “Related Products” section on the single product page is out of whack. Should I wait for your update, delete the added woocemmerce.php file and then install your update?

Yeah, just follow us on Twitter or our support forums. We will post on there when the update is ready. Should be no longer than 1-2 days (Nearly completed). We already updated our other WooCommerce theme Iceberg, just finishing up Camp now.

In the meantime you can just rename the woocommerce.php to fix the shop so it works in the meantime if you want. But we will get that update to you as quickly as possible.

Ok Thank you very much

The theme is not compatible with the new version of WooCommerce. Can you offer a new update?

OK ! So please, How to update the theme? do i need to upload all the files on my server via FTP?

We have upgrade instructions in our support forums here. If you have any other questions, feel free to post them in our forums:

Hello, with this new update, has their been any attempt to improve the performance of the theme? Just curious, thanks.

Yeah WooCommerce 2.0 should be much quicker. A good portion of the code has been re-written. Also, Camp 2.0 will be a bit quicker as our meta-boxes and theme options have been updated. If you have any other questions about the update, please visit our support forums:

Feel free to update your themes to WooCommerce 2.0. If you have any questions or trouble updating, feel free to post in our support forums.

Tnx for quick upgrade, I only have one question how to control Related Products on product page, for example it is showing me only 2 product (and there are much more products) and in most cases it show products from other categories …

Now, where do I set to show 3 products and only from same category as active product?

Go ahead and post your question in our support forums. We can help you out there:

I upgraded the theme and woocommerce but I cannot get my shop’s sidebar to show up. It dissappeared entirely. Ideas?

Yeah, check your Theme Options and make sure the sidebar is checked under the Shop Tab. The setting is labeled “Display Sidebar on Shop Index”.

Why are you guys recommending so large an image for the single product image? Is this for iPad or retina compatibility?

Force regenerate thumbnails is fine for downsizing…. but I was using 530×408 before for single product images… so obviously running Force Regenerate will be upscaling them if I use your sizes… which will still result in blur.

So basically I’m wondering if I use 530×408, will this be detrimental to the display on ipad? If I use this number, I guess I’ll just multiply by .74 for catalog and .15 for product thumbs….. I just don’t want to have to create a new photoshop template for all of the images that I’ve already rasterized at my previous setting if it’s not going to be a problem for keeping my original settings…

Yes, that is for retina compatible images. Note: You can choose any image size you want, those are just our recommendations if you want to support retina. Also, Force Regenerate won’t upscale any images. If your image isn’t large enough, WordPress just displays the largest available version.

If you want additional details, just post your questions on our support forums and we can explain this in greater detail:

After following the documentation and upgrading to Woo 2.0. Great Documentation btw. My widgets are all appearing vertically. Example : 4 footer widgets are displaying vertically and not horizontally.

Any ideas?

I believe you already posted a forum thread that I responded to. If so, please continue responding via the forum thread. We’ll get this sorted out quickly for you:

Hi! Thank you for the update. Following the comments here and your forum I’ve solved several problems after uptade, but I have one problem that I don’t know how to solve.

My homepage is redirected to the My Account page.

I’m almost sure that I’ve checked all the settings and update changes.

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much.

Hi, I’m here again.. hehe.. Do you have any plugin similar to this? http://www.wollner.com.br/sandalia-lycra-race.html

I want the product image to be zoom when “mouse over” not by clicking it. Let me know if you have a plugin similar to it and I will buy it.

Hi How can I change the color of the the variations and the price from the light green to another color?

We offer theme support via our support forum. Please post all support questions through our support forum.

Hi! Is there a log file where I can check wich files were updated?

I’d like to update only changed files, because I’ve made a few changes to the theme.

We provide support via our support forums. If you have any questions, please post them on our forums:

Are there any public eCommerce sites that you guys are allowed to share as examples running Camp or Iceberg. I want to show a client something other than the demo pages. Thanks.

Yeah, feel free to send me an e-mail and I can send you a few examples that I have (Contact form is on the bottom right):

Hi, I recently upgraded to the newest release of Camp. My sliders on the front page are no longer working. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Jump onto our support forums. We’ve got a walk through on upgrading to the latest version:

Thanks got it!

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to add a background image to the website, instead of just a color?

Yeah, go ahead and post your question on our support forums. We will help you out with that:

Is it possible to move/add the shopping cart experience into the right column widget area for this theme? Also, can you make the home page rotator items clickable, in the given example they aren’t clickable to the product types.

Thanks in advance! -Kevin

1) Yeah, you can easily add a shopping cart in the right column widget area. There is a built-in widget for this.

2) Yeah, the homepage rotator items can link to any page. I went ahead and added some links to the main slider so you can see examples of this.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Awesome, thank you for the very prompt response. One last question, is it possible to add more than a single option to each product type as well with woo commerce? So I have product that have color, size and type for instance, is this possible within that plugin? Thanks again!

Yeah, you can add as many additional product variations as necessary. Your example of color, size, and type would be easy to add with WooCommerce.

I’ve followed the video step by step and for some reason the slider will not appear on the homepage. Please help.

Yeah go ahead and post that question on our support forums. Make sure to include a link to your website and what category you are trying to pull into your slider.

Note: The most common issue is make sure you are using the portfolio post type. Then try and remove any spaces from the portfolio category. If that doesn’t help, jump on over to our support forums and we will sort this out for you quickly.

Thank you. I have submitted a Discussion and am awaiting your response.

Hey there,

Looking at purchasing. I have a couple of questions:

I cannot find any details on the admin panel/features you use on the backend of your themes. Can you point me in the direction of your tutorial videos, docs or screenshots of your backend options?

Can you tell me if there is an option (or if it would be simple enough) to stick the menu/header to the top of the page? A la bootstrap.

The “Featured Products” section on the homepage, although very nice, won’t work for my website since I’ll be offering a mixture of services which will and will not be offered through my Shop. I’m presuming that the Featured Products is a WooCommerce widget, but I just want to make sure that this section can be removed and that I can replace it with a Featured Services section (that I will presumably have to build myself)?

Also, could you point me in the direction of any working sites so I can get my head around the level of customisation possible?

Cheers! Greg

1) Yeah, send us an e-mail and we can send you the full documentation. You can contact us via the contact form on our profile page:

2) Nope, we don’t have an option for a top menu other than the one provided in the live preview.

3) Yeah, the homepage has a widget area and an area to type in regular content like services. You can add in content with or without widgets.

4) If you send us an e-mail, we can send you to some example websites.

Hey! Thanks for the quick response. I’ll send you a message through your profile on TF with my email! :)

Is there a .custom for css files? I woud not like to mess the original file.

Yeah, check out how to create a child theme. That is the way to edit the styles without effecting the original theme. There is even a plugin to help out with this:
