Thank you
Congrats ! Looks good , good luck !
Thank you
As a tip, it would really help if you included a screenshot of the blog in the preview image. Whenever I am browsing through themes, in the themes list, I usually just look at the preview image and do not open anything that does not already give a hint at the style of the theme.
Call me lazy, but before I waste 30 seconds opening a page and loading a theme that I am perhaps not interested in, I rather don’t open it at all.
Cheers
Thanks for your tip, krrrks. I will keep that in mind
Does this theme use Visual Composer?
Hi PixelSurfin. No, it doesn’t.
Looks great! How easy is it to integrate ad blocks or newsletter email captures?
Hi ChrisArlidge,
There isn’t any built-in ad feature, so ad blocks will be added manually. What plugin do you use for newsletter?
Thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking of using the MailChimp Lite plugin, unless there is a better one.
Okay, I will test it and show you a demo soon.
With some CSS addition, it looks like that (on the sidebar). http://canary.mondotheme.com/contact/
I used this plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
Thanks so much for taking the time to show me that it looks great I really like the simple elegance of this design
You’re welcome
Looks nice! Is it compatible to WPML?
Hi OTDACC,
I haven’t tested it with WPML.
Love the theme! Do I need any coding skills?
Hi AngelaBLehmann,
Nope, you don’t need any coding skills. Just write your blog and enjoy it.
Is this theme compatible with Woo Commerce?
Hi PlayboyMommy,
No, it isn’t. Themes compatible with WooCommerce are usually more expensive than that. However, my other theme Jay is compatible with WooCommerce.
Hi Anyone who can help I purchased the theme and it seems like it did not come in with plugins that complement the theme, and looks like it does not have sidebars, is it suppose to be like that ?
How do i make it look like this http://themeforest.net/item/canary-minimal-wordpress-blog-theme/full_screen_preview/12281919
Hi. We used WooSidebars plugin for unlimited sidebars. Theme has one sidebar by default. If you want unlimited sidebars, you can use WooSidebars. If you have any other issue, make sure open a ticket on https://mondotheme.ticksy.com
thank you , so the theme does not come in with plugins, like for sliders?
Are you talking about the slider on the homepage? It doesn’t need any plugin for that. You just have to enable the featured posts following this article. https://mondotheme.ticksy.com/article/4989/
Is there an option to select a layout per page? I can only find the Main Layout setting in the Blog settings. This suggests it’s possible to change in other places.
Hi. You can choose a specific layout in Mixed Layout Sertings section from edit screen of your post. For pages, there isn’t any option for that, but will be added in the next update.
Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to the update.
Thanks for the update.
You’re welcome!
Great WordPress Blog – GL
Thank you so much
Hi there,
I really love the Canary theme but I’m wondering whether it includes the Visual Composer or any similar plugin. For my website I need to build a custom page similar to the following one: www.luuovertheocean.com/bucket-list
Do you think that would be possible with your theme?
Thank you in advance, Lucie
Hi there,
Thanks for checking out my theme. Unfortunately, Canary doesn’t include any page builder. It was meant to be a simple blog theme.
The theme doesn’t have an exact nor similar feature as on the link. Sorry about that.
Hello! I want to know if i can change the color of the menu from black?
And also add email subrscribtion bar in the same style?
Hi there,
Yes, you can change it from black with custom CSS. About the subscription bar, which plugin are you using? If the plugin you are using has a widget, you can just place it on the sidebar. If you meant to place it on other place, you would need to customize the theme in a child theme. However, note that customization is not part of the support.
Thank you for reply! Could you please also tell me if it’s possible to use the theme without slider in the beggining of the page and use just logo? And.. one more thing about language. Will it be easy to translate buttons to russian language?
Thank you!
Hello there,
1. Yes, you can disable the featured posts slider from the admin options.
2. You can use POEdit to translate your theme. Here is an article on translating Canary. https://mondotheme.ticksy.com/article/5001/
You’re so helpful! I really appreciate it. Thank you so much! <3
You’re welcome
Is there a way to have a grid layout on the front page, but side bars on the post page? Thanks.
Hi there,
You can select “Grid” in Canary Options > Blog Settings > Main Layout and then “Right Sidebar” in Layout Settings per post/page individually.
yeah, I did that. But there is nothing on the sidebar. The main section is shifted to the left, but none of the widgets on the sidebar are showing.
Let me test this quickly. Please allow me some time.
It was a bug and just fixed this. Can you email me through my profile page on https://themeforest.net/user/mondotheme ?
So I can send the quick fix through email.
I was notified that they was an update for the theme, but after updating it, only did I realised it was actually for another theme under the same name. <https://wordpress.org/themes/canary/>
Hi there, this is one big issue in WordPress updating. It just checks for same name theme from WordPress themes directory regardless of an author or something like this. This theme was released after our theme and it’s something difficult for us to control. Please download the theme again from your ThemeForest downloads section and install it again.
