Hi, guys! I’m trying to customize your cost calculator, so i have a question about the “select” element there. I need to change the options by my js. So i’ve looked at the msDropdown api and tried to to change it with this Code : for example – $(’#id’).msDropdown.selectedIndex = 0 (the id of the div element with the class btQuoteSelect btDropDown), then I tried to fire it on the child input select of this div element – for example: $(’#id’).find(‘select’).msDropdown.selectedIndex = 0 – but its didnt worked for me. Can you please tell me how can I interract with the api of this dropdown by js and how to access its properties and methods (what prop and methods can I use ,if it is your custom version of this script)?

Section and slider background images adapt to the section’s shape and it is hard to use the same image as background on portrait and landscape devices and make them “responsive”.
Images which are part of the content are a different story and they are always responsive.
In general the solution can be:
1. use different background image, one for desktop and one for mobile, each optimized for the respective aspect ratio of the device’s screen. Once you create the desired portrait image for the mobile resolutions, you can either switch it using custom css, or, clone the existing page element, set the copy to be visible only on mobile screens, set the original to be visible on desktop screens and assign an optimized hero image to the mobile version of the hero section.
2. reduce the content of the hero section (text and buttons), or rearrange them on mobile, so that the topmost section keeps the desktop (landscape) aspect ratio. In this case you can use the same video both for mobile and desktop.
These solutions do not make the background image “responsive”, but they allow you to make a different layout for that specific section on different devices, so that the section looks the way you want.

Usually, the cause of the difference between the menu types is the Overrides of global settings related to menu type on individual pages (bottom of the page edit panel) which allow you to set the menu type on per page basis.
So, either the home page has the different settings (in which case you need to replicate these desired settings in Appearance > Customize options) or other pages have different settings (in which case you need to remove the menu related overrides from those pages)

The slider has the option to autorotate – you can set the transition period in ms. We just haven’t set it on our demo.

Hi, we use Cargo for a while now, pretty satisfied with the result so thank you. We would like to know if you’re gonna push an updated package of the cargo theme + its plugins, especially Rapid Composer which is quite old now… Can we upgrade our DB to MySql 8.0 without any risk ? Thanks

We will certainly going to keep Cargo theme compatible with latest releases of WordPress and php.
In terms of functionality we do not intend to introduce new ones in near future and Rapid Composer which is packaged with the theme is the latest one compatible with theme’s framework.
Regarding MySQL, the theme does not make any direct requests to database, it uss WP API. So if your WP version is compatible with MySql 8.0 everything should work as expected.

It is highly unlikely that the cause of the issue is related to the theme – the theme does not alter the image names in any way. Have you tried deactivating third party plugins if you have any and check if the issue persists?

The Rapid Composer version is from 2017. Does this theme work properly under the most recent Rapid Composer?

It is our custom made slider. No, it is not currently possible to implement video on home slider. On the other hand you can use any of the third party sliders as well and insert their shortcode. Please note that the theme does not come with the license for third party sliders, so you would need to obtain them separately.

With all due respect, there is not a single mention of Elementor on the theme profile page. Furthermore it is clearly stated that the theme uses Rapid Composer in the background.
Your waste of time (as said in the review) certainly is not caused by the theme quality or the quality of support.
It is, to say the least, unjust to give 1 star rating to the theme because you have not read the theme description.

You can always use the custom CSS (Appearance > Customize > General Settings > Custom CSS).
In order to set the custom footer heading color, add
.btSiteFooterWidgets h4 span {
color: #ff0000;
}
In order to change the Headnig text color of specific service element, add the following to the custom CSS:
.myCustomService .headline {
color: #ff0000;
}
and then add Extra Class Name to specific service element (using rapid composer):
myCustomService
It should do the trick

The rapid composer uses the same database connection as the rest of the WordPress installation, so there has to be some other problem with the server configuration – it does not change the default WP database connection handling in any way.
