Demo content importing not working. And magazine or other looks not working correctly.
Thanks I tried installing on another server and it was seamless and I finally saw the theme plugin and activated it and we are all good now. However that other server still have issues . I will contact my client to change plans to a higher.

Good day. When I am creating a post I do not see Display Location field on the post page. This means I cant create the featured header and content on the homepage on my blog. Please what could be responsible for me not seeing that option or how do I activate it to begin to display.
Also my blog is having a lot of connection timeout issues. I have disabled all the plugins and it is still the same. I installed the theme on 5.1.1 wordpress. I am been asked to update to 5.8.1. Should I update. Will that make a difference.

1. From the theme documentation: “When you first install the theme you’ll see a popup on your dashboard from the theme asking you to install a number of plugins. Allow the theme to install these for you”. Did you do it?
2. Perhaps you have a weak hosting or it is somehow not configured that way. All my demos are located on a regular hosting and do not have such problems. The theme has nothing to do with it. You can upgrade to the latest version of Wordpress, but since Gutenberg blocks were very often redone in them, they will be displayed incorrectly. Otherwise, there should be no problems.
Thanks for the response. Yes I installed the plugins. In troubleshooting why the site was showing error in connection and other errors I disabled the plugins. I will try activate again.
I did not see the Display location option on the post editor to enable me make the post a featured post on the home page. What did I not do or configure right. The home page is still blank. Even when I chose magazine style for the home page content.

In addition, read the section “Set Up Your Homepage > To set up magazine style homepage” in the documentation for the theme and do everything that is written there to bring other entries (from selected categories) to the main page.

Hi! Unfortunately, the author of the plugin stopped supporting it. I did not find a similar alternative to it. Therefore, the theme is delivered without the ability to display photos from Instagram. All references to this feature are removed from the theme description page and its preview. It remains only in the documentation, as some of the older versions of this plugin work.

1. How can i remove the infos about category and date of posting the article when i’m sharing it on FB news feed (appear at the beginning of “excerpt”, both in demo and in my site)? I would like it to start with the first sentence of the article. Not with mentioned infos.
2. In the same case, how can i remove dash and site name in extension of the title of article (also appear both in demo and in my site)?

1. The theme does not affect the output of this information. You can try either some other sharing plugin or a third-party plugin to add social meta tags.
2. You can try to use Yoast SEO plugin.

1. Open file \functions.php and change logo size in lines 55-56.
2. Add this code to your child-theme style.css file:

}
and change the size of the logo in this code to your own. In the functions.php file specify a size twice as large as in the child-theme style.css.
3. Activate child theme.

How can I change the excerpt limit? Wordpress default is 55 words, but in this theme it is approx. 24 words… I need to increase it. Could not find an excerpt length for postcard anywhere. Thanks

For magazine page open folder template\template-parts\magazine. There you will find files that make up this page. You need to find lines like this:
echo mb_substr( $content, 0, 150 )
Here, 150 (or another digit) is the number of characters to output. Change it.
For category pages, archives, etc. are used files located in the folder: template\template-parts\loop. Change them in a similar way.
Oh yeah one more thing.
Your theme does not support SVG files 
Not even with the SVG plugin.

Try to use “Safe SVG” plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-svg/
This is the plugin I used. It did not work for the logo. It only works for other images.
The plugin works, but it does not know how to resize images, so you need to download logos with a size smaller than 48*48 pixels.

Yes in the wp editor..then, i want to add element for social media like facebook, twitter and so on, but it doesnt appear just the box only appeared.
Theme used CSS Grid Layout and CSS Variables, the Wordpress editor doesn’t understand them yet, so it shows errors.
What social media are we talking about? Footer social menu? Sidebar social links?

It looks like you or a third-party plugin have replaced the FontAwesome font link with your own. My theme uses only FontAwesome Brands, you have fully connected font.
If you haven’t done anything, try disabling third-party plugins and identifying which one does.
If you have changed this, you should include FontAwesome in addition to what is, not instead of the existing one.

Theme uses the front-page.php to display the magazine page. If you want to use the front-page.php for your needs, turn on the display of the magazine page as it is written in the theme documentation and change the code of the front-page.php on your own.

The theme is not optimized for Gutenberg, so its blocks will not be displayed correctly. You can update, but you should use the old editor or use the classic editor in Gutenberg (not blocks).
