Hello, I encounter three problems after installing your theme: - my titles do not take the format “capitalize” or other than none: it’s true in home page or in archive’s page. - my photos are systematically modified without respecting the original format (often square): not at all masonry style for home or archive ? - and in full screen they appear linked and not one by one on a black background … (Http://pliurbain.fr/index.php/2018/02/28/montmartre-neige-phrase-urbaine-poesie/)

my website: pliurbain.fr

thanks

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us. Please see below:

1. Page title & Post title

The title format can be changed in customizer.

Please open your customizer (go to your site admin panel > Appearance > Customize), then go to “Typography” > “Post Title” > “Text Transform”, choose “Capitalize” or “None”. Please see this screenshot as reference: https://d.pr/NFCqDr

To change the Page Title’s format, also in the customizer, please go to “Typography” > “Page Title” > “Text Transform”, choose “Capitalize” or “None”. Please see this screenshot as reference: https://d.pr/xSVXdP

If the title format still doesn’t change after you made changes in the customizer, please create a temporary admin account for us and let us log into your site so that we can look into it for you. Please send the login credentials to us via email: general@loftocean.com

2. Square photos on homepage or archive

We can see that the layout of the posts on your home page is “Grid”, and the featured images of the posts will be displayed in a 2:3 ratio so that the layout looks neat and consistent.

In the next update of the CeraMag theme, we will add an option to allow users to change the aspect ratio of the photos in the “Grid” layout.

(By the way, if you’d like to get this feature as soon as possible without waiting for us to release the next update, please email us your login credentials so that we can add this feature for you.)

Archive page – we can see that the layout of the posts on your category archive pages is “Zigzag”, and the featured images of the posts are displayed in a 1:1 ratio. Would you like to change the photo aspect ratio for “Zigzag” layout?

3. Slider gallery – fullscreen

We have checked the post you mentioned, but the fullscreen slider gallery works as it should be. When the gallery is zoomed into fullscreen, you can slide the photos by clicking the left or right arrow. Please see this screencast: https://d.pr/sP1D1U

You can check our demo page to see an example of a fullscreen slider gallery: http://demo.loftocean.com/ceramag/fashion/30-best-photos-street-view/

Hope this can help. Please feel free to let us know if you have any problems/questions when using the theme.

Hi! Since I installed ceramag’s theme on my website, I noticed our direct traffic grew and our organic dropped a little (excluding an AMP plugin we installed and already deleted).

I searched on a few forums and a theory that I think that might make sense is that a script that includes a javascript reload of the page may be causing this increase on direct traffic.

I used google developers tool and found a reload script on our blog: “var ceramag_cookie_device_pixel_ratio=(document.cookie.indexOf(‘device_pixel_ratio’)!=-1)?document.cookie.split(‘device_pixel_ratio=’)[1].split(’;’)[0]:1;if((‘devicePixelRatio’in window)&&ceramag_cookie_device_pixel_ratio!=window.devicePixelRatio){var date=new Date();date.setTime(date.getTime()3600000);document.cookie=’device_pixel_ratio=’+window.devicePixelRatio’;’’ expires=’+date.toUTCString()’; path=/’;if(document.cookie.indexOf(‘device_pixel_ratio’)!=-1){window.location.reload();}}”

I’d like to know if you guys could help me with that. Do you think this is what may be causing the problem? Can we delete this from our website?

Here’s the data you asked:

Your website URL: https://blog.onemarket.com.br/ Which version of the theme you are using: version 1.1.10

Hi LoftOcean Team,

I updated my CeraMag theme and then all the main page images’ resolutions are broken. How can I fix it?

Thanks for help

Best, Umut

Hi Umut,

Thanks for contacting us. We checked your site but it seems that everything is fine. Please see this screenshot: https://d.pr/FREE/gtPlVF

If your site home page should look like it appears in this screenshot, then please clear your browser cache and check again.

Or, if your site home page should not look like it appears in this screenshot, could you please provide more information so that we can look into this problem for you?

1. Which posts layout did you choose? “Grid 3 Cols”?

2. If your selected posts layout is “Grid 3 Cols”, a new option “Grid Featured Image Orientation” will appear (a new feature added in the latest version: v1.2.1). Which image orientation did you choose? “Landscape” (the default value is “Landscape”)?

3. Or, have you had previous screenshots of your site so that we can use to compare?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

The Loft.Ocean Team

What is going on with Instagram widgets? I don’t have new photos from around one month. Instagram extensions in right widget and footer show only older photos

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for contacting us.

We just checked out some of CeraMag theme users’ websites, and the Instagram feature works fine on those websites – New Instagram photos uploaded 2 or 3 days ago are also displayed on their websites.

Could you please follow the steps below to see if the problem on your website can be resolved?

1. Please clear your site cache (if you use any caching/performance optimization plugins), and also clear your browser cache, then refresh the webpage and check again.

2. Please make sure your site is running the latest version of CeraMag theme and the required plugin “CeraMag Extension”. The latest version of the theme is 1.2.1.

2). Having some problems after updating the theme?

3. If the problem still exists on your website, please create a temporary admin account and let us log into your website so that we can look into the problem for you. Please email the details to general@loftocean.com .

Thanks!

Thank you for help! It was problem with my other plugins, not with ceramag theme. Once again – thank you for help! They send me code within 30 minutes – wow!

Thank you very much for your kind feedback! :)

Is there a way to format the social menu in the footer so that it only shows icons and not the name of the social media? I like how it looks in the header but not in the footer (Fashion 2 Demo).

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

Yes, the names of the social media in the site footer can be hidden. Please add the following custom CSS to your site (via Customizer > Additional CSS):

.footer-bottom .footer-social .widget.ceramag-widget_social .socialwidget ul.social-nav li a {
    font-size: 0 !important;
}

(If you read this reply in your email, you may see extra code that we use to wrap the CSS code so that it can display correctly on the comments page. So, please also check out this screenshot to make sure you get the correct code.)

You may like to read the documentation to know more details on How to add custom CSS code.

Hope this helps. Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your amazing work. I have an issue when I try to activate the top slider.

Even if it’s activated, it is not showing up. I tried to create some posts with featured image and activated it in Themes -> Customise, but nothing happens on the home page.

Here is the website: http://linedit.domainetemporaire.com/

Could you please help me to understand why the slider doesn’t show up ?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

We checked your website and found that your current home page is a “static page”. When the home page is a static page, it will display the content written on the page.

If you’d like to control the home page’s content and layout via the WordPress Customizer (Themes > Customise), please set “Your homepage displays Your latest posts”.

To change the homepage/front page settings, on your website dashboard, please go to “Settings” > “Reading” > find the “Your homepage displays” option. Please refer to this screenshot.

When the homepage “displays your latest posts”, it will be consisted with 3 sections:

1. Top Slider / Hero Image

2. Featured Section

3. Latest Posts

You may like to read the theme documentation to find out more details about “Home Page”.

Thank you very much.

Hello, i have a small problem. My website is not in English so i need to translate all the buttons there. My question is: where i can change to buttons of PREVIOUS ARTICLE and NEXT ARTICLE which appear on a single post at the bottom and also in header. Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us. Please read this how-to article: How to translate CeraMag theme.

Thank you!

Sorry, I have another problem: With this theme i ve got 2 menus in header. On desktop they work perfectly. But on the mobile phone the Primary menu converts into a hamburger menu and works great, but the Secondary menu dissapears at all. I managed to make it appear ( with addition CSS) but it appears at the same spot as it is on desktop and its not responsive at all and looks not nice. So what i want to do is to put my Secondary menu inside of the Primary Hamburger menu. Do you know how can i do it? Or is there another solution to this issue?

It’s a pity but thank you anyway for the fast answer!

Thank you for your reply.

We will notify you on this comment page when the next update is released. Thank you very much for your patience! :)

Hi loftocean,

I am using CeraMag for a photographer website. The posts are used to show different shootings and places. I really like the design and also the integration of the last instagram posts. So my problem is this: the post is only clickable, when hovering over the describing text of the post. (wbproduction.de) I wonder if there is any possibility to change that function, so that I can click on the photo, instead of clicking on the text of the photo in order to be forwarded to the actual post. It would be much more intuitive if I was able to click on the photo of the post and be forwarded to the post itself instead of clicking on the text of the post on the front page, because by hovering the photo, the post animates and makes users feel like it is clickable, but isn’t yet. If there is any customaization I didn’t consider or any update concerning this issue, please let me know.

Sincerely William

Hi William,

Thank you for contacting us. We are glad to hear that you like our theme design! :)

Yes, you are right, the animation does make the users feel that the post is clickable. No problem, we will solve this problem in the next update of the theme. We are currently working on the next update and the new version is almost ready. This change will be included in this update.

The update will be released in about a day or two. We will notify you when this update is released.

Thank you again for pointing this out.

Hi,

After the latest updates, all the sidebar on my site disappeared, and when I tried to do it again, I noticed that Instagram didn’t work. How can I solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. Please see below:

1. Theme Version:

We just checked your website (If we remember correctly, your site is https://www.yoldabiblog.com/ ), and found that the CeraMag theme used on this website is not the latest version. The latest version is 2.1.1, released on September 23, 2019. You may like to check the theme changelog.

Could you please following the steps below:

Step 1 – Update CeraMag theme to the latest version. Please read the documentation for the details about how to update CeraMag theme.

Step 2 – Then please also update the required plugin “CeraMag Extension” to ensure the maximum compatibility with the theme. Please read the documentation about how to update the required plugin.

-

2. Instagram Issue

After updating CeraMag theme and the required plugin, please clear your site cache and the browser cache, then refresh your pages to see if the Instagram feed is displayed. If the Instagram still doesn’t show, please add your Instagram token (this is a new feature added in Version 2.1.2). Please read the following documentation:

- Instagram feed cannot be displayed on your website?

-

3. The widgets

Usually when updating the theme, it will not affect the widget areas (sidebar or site footer columns). But you may need to pay attention to the following points:

1. If you haven’t visited the your “Widgets” page (Dashboard > “Appearance” > “Widgets”) after updating the theme and before updating the required plugin – Then after updating the required plugin, your widgets will display on your page.

2. However, if you have already visited the “Widgets” page after updating the theme and before updating the required plugin, widgets that have been added to the widget areas may be removed. This is the default logic for the WordPress core. If this happens, you can find these widgets in the “Inactive Widgets” area, which you can drag and drop back into the widget areas. Please check this screenshot for a reference.

3. Widgets that have been added to the widget areas also may be removed when switching themes. Users can still find these widgets in the “Inactive Widgets” area and can add them back.

-

Hope this helps. If the problem still exists, could you please provide the following information so that we can look into it for you:

1. Please send us your website URL.

2. Please create a temporary admin account for us and let us log into your website.

3. Please email these information to general@loftocean.com .

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your reply.

No worries. Glad to see Instagram working on your site now! :)

We are having issues with columns working on the website with Getenburg. Everything is pretty much the last version on our site. Any thoughts here?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

We just checked on our testing site (WordPress v5.3.2 + CeraMag theme v2.2 + the required plugin “CeraMag Extension” v2.2), but we did not find any issues with Gutenberg columns. Please check out the following screenshots we took:

- Adding the “Columns” block in Gutenberg editor.

- Columns added into Gutenberg editor.

- How columns look after publishing the article.

Could you please provide more details about the problems you are experiencing?

1. Are you having trouble adding the “Columns” block? Is the number of columns incorrect? Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible.

2. Does the problem occur in the Gutenberg editor (back end) or in the front end (after publishing the article)?

3. Could you please take some screenshots of the problems?

4. If the problems are happening on the front end of your website, please also send us the URL of the page where the issue occurs.

5. Please email these details to general@loftocean.com .

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

I bought your theme CeraMag two years ago and I love it. WordPress just updated it to version 2.3, but I saw that my Instagram accounts are not visible anymore, they were at the end of a page, you could see my latest Instagram photos. Can you please tell me where did you make a place for Instagram in this new version so I can find it and connect it?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

Starting in June 2020, Instagram made some changes, and the old API has been deprecated at the end of June 2020. We have published a tutorial on how to fixing this issue for CeraMag. Please refer to this how-to article for the detailed instructions.

By the way, please also make sure that both your CeraMag theme and the required plugin “CeraMag Extension” are updated.

Thank you very much.

Hi, I have had to close my website, so I would really appreciate it if you could refund me and remove the theme from my account as I can no longer use it.

It is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Sarah.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for contacting us.

The terms and conditions for refunds are set out exclusively by Envato (not us), and you must meet the conditions of the refund policy. However, depending on your situation, I am afraid this is not a valid reason for a refund.

Please check the details of “Envato Market Refund Rules”: https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policy . Thank you.

So,

I fell in love with your Theme-template, finishing touches right now :).. But, one thing; I’m unable to change the background color of the dropdown menu, is this an error/bug or impossible?

For example; when I hoover over ‘guest bloggers’, that background color is still white, and I want to change it :)

My website name is; www.therevitalizedchickpea.com

]

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. :)

The theme provides an option to change the color scheme of the dropdown menu. Please open the WordPress customizer and navigate to “Header” > find “Header Colors” > and then find the “Dropdown Menu Color Scheme” option. When “Light” is selected, the background color of the dropdown menu is white and the text is black. When “Dark” is selected, the background color of the dropdown menu is black and the text is white. Please see this screenshot: https://d.pr/i/7yaohd .

If you would like to change the colors of the dropdown menu to other colors, you can add the following CSS code to the customizer > “Additional CSS” section:

#page .site-header .site-header-menu .main-navigation ul.sub-menu {
    background: #4e4880;
    color: #fff;
}

Please refer to this screenshot to make sure you get the correct code: https://d.pr/i/dU4m3e . You can change the color codes to use any colors you like.

After saving the changes, you may need to clear your website cache and the browser cache, and then refresh the page the check the results.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

The Loft.Ocean Team

perfect, it’s working! one final question; When I type my websites name as shown above, the navigation arrows and close button show as square. Same for back to top button, social media buttons etc. there is a parked domain attached to this website, and when I type that one it doesn’t show the same issues. how can I fix this or is it a problem outside of CeraMag?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Our developer checked your website and found some errors in the browser console, please see this screenshot: https://d.pr/i/6d5MxI .

The error messages are: ”......has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource.”

This is a problem outside of the theme. This problem is related to CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) policy. If you do not know how to fix the CORS error, you can contact your hosting provider for further assistance.

Thank you very much.
