Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

What you should do first before asking your question

To speed along the support request, please follow the guide below:

  1. Make sure your site is running the latest version of WordPress.
  2. Update to the latest versions of your theme (CeraMag), the required plugin (CeraMag Extension), and other third-party plugins. Sometimes the issue you encountered may have been fixed in a released update already. (How to update theme and required plugin)
  3. Check our Online Documentation and How-to Articles first.
  4. Disable any other plugins and then check if it fix the issue.
  5. If you still cannot find a solution, please leave a comment or email us: general@loftocean.com
  6. Before applying for support please make sure you understand the rules of support.

Submitting a support request

When submit your support request, please include following information as many details as possible:

  • Your website URL
  • Which version of the theme you are using
  • Detailed description of the issue or the question
  • Screenshots of the problem
  • Any notices or error messages
  • Any other information that you find useful
  • If you contact us via email, please indicate which product your question corresponds to

Having some problems after updating the theme?

After updating the theme, please always check if there is this note showing on the top of your admin panel:

“The following plugin needs to be updated to its latest version to ensure maximum compatibility with this theme: CeraMag Extension.”

If you see this notice, it means that you need to update the required plugin “CeraMag Extension” to make everything works after the update.

We include many features in the required plugin but not in the theme code because it is the requirement of WordPress and Envato/ThemeForest review team. So please don’t forget to update the required plugin and make sure it is activated.

If the required plugin hasn’t been updated or activated, some features will not work. Like Instagram feed, image resolutions, post like, post sharing, and etc.
