Hi! I am currently developing a web app for a client (who actually paid for the theme) and I have a question…

I am struggling to style my selects/textareas with some markup to correctly display validation errors with the icon at the top-right corner. I tried some tweaks but none of them worked. Have you got any official solution for this?

Actually, I can put the red border on these elements, but the “x” icon is always misplaced.

Thank you.

You just need to wrap them in a div (if you use the full-width style) or a span with the class relative:

<div class="relative">
    <select class="full-width">
    <span class="check-error" />

Let me know if you need more details! ;)

iphone checkboxes do not bind in IE8, the image does not switch?

Have tried this does not work?

input.checked=true; input.setAttribute(‘checked’,true); input.setAttribute(‘checked’,’checked’);

The template uses the click event to track changes on switches in IE8 and lower (they don’t support the :checked selector). If you want to change the switches programmatically, you need to edit js/ and make the following changes:

  • Change the 2 occurrences of 'click' to 'change'
  • Change the 2 occurrences of if (!this.checked) to if (this.checked)

Now you should be able to do this:

$(input).prop('checked', true).change();

Note that if you use the change event for anything else, you may use any custom event instead of click, for instance if you use ie-change in

$(input).prop('checked', true).trigger('ie-change');

Hope this helps! ;)

I would like to move all of this theme’s files into a sub folder on my apache server.

I have unzipped everything into a /theme/ folder.

This appears to break the js-tabs functionality. There are no event listener attached to my li elements that for the list, so the ‘current’ class is not added to the element when it is clicked.

I think the listener I need is in the function onTabClick(event) in theme/js/common.js as it has the line li.addClass(‘current’).siblings().removeClass(‘current’);

The same problem occurs with the ul using class shortcuts-list

I have tried changing
link href="css/mini.php?files=reset,common,form,standard,,simple-lists,block-lists,planning,table,calendars,wizard,gallery" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"

link href="/theme/css/mini.php?files=reset,common,form,standard,,simple-lists,block-lists,planning,table,calendars,wizard,gallery" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"

but this appears to not change the link to the common.js

What do I need to change to use this great theme in a sub folder?

This link only loads the stylesheets (see rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"), you should find a script link at the end of your page with something like this:

<script src="js/mini.php?..."></script>

If you moved all assets to a subdirectory, you also need to change the path here. Everything should work fine then ;)

Let me know if this is not the issue!

In the bottom of the body (just before /body ) I changed:

<script src="js/mini.php?files=libs/jquery-1.6.3.min,old-browsers,jquery.accessibleList,searchField,common,standard,jquery.tip,libs/jquery.hashchange,jquery.contextMenu,list"></script> <!--[if lte IE 8]><script src="js/"></script><![endif]-->

<script src="/theme/js/mini.php?files=libs/jquery-1.6.3.min,old-browsers,jquery.accessibleList,searchField,common,standard,jquery.tip,libs/jquery.hashchange,jquery.contextMenu,list"></script> and voila! It worked!

Tres bien!

Glad I could help! :)

Hello, i just purchase this admin template that look great. But how to get started, even in the doc i don’t see where to start… for exemple if a want a “new post” form do i have to create the page ? where do i put the ajax and php to insert the post in the databse …

Also we can access the index.phhp file without login is it normal ?

This template (as every other in this category on Themeforest) is only a skin for backend developers: it is not functional by itself, you need to create the required pages and plug the front-end features to your own code.

That is why you can access the pages without being prompted to log in: there is no user control system, it is up to you to add one. Fortunately, you can find lots of tutorials and examples on how to do this ;)

Let me know if you need more details!

Hi, I need to display a small amount of tabular data on the page. The current table theme works great and I like it. However, it takes too much space. I only would like to give it 1/4 or at most 1/2 of the page. Is it possible to make the table smaller? Is there a class name for it? If not, is it going to be enough if I just overwrite font sizes?

I was about to suggest this, you found it first ;) The size classes were precisely designed for this.

Let me know if you have any other question!

:-) Thanks…

Minor visual stuff: is it possible to remove column borders that is displayed between columns?

Sure, but you need to edit the CSS for that: in css/table.css, locate and remove this property (around line 139)

border-left: 1px dotted #333333;

Hope this helps! ;)

I wonder if you’d be nice enough to take a look at the code below and see why it is not working in IE. In Firefox, it seems to be OK.

Essentially, I have a short form (which is a confirmation request to proceed to checkout). However, if they want to continue shopping, I added a regular link to take them back to the main page. However, I want it styled like a button. This button does not work in IE.

Here is the code:
<form class="form" method="POST" action="/checkout">
        <p class="inline-medium-label">
        <input name="form" value="confirm" type="hidden">
        <input name="confirm_req" value="1" type="hidden">
        <button type="submit" name="action" value="checkout">Checkout</button>

        <a href="/continue"><button type="button">Continue Shopping</button></a>

You should rather use the class big-button on the anchor, and remove the button – it won’t be handled correctly by many browsers anyway.

This class allows you to mimic a button on almost any kind of element.

Let me know if you need more details! :)

I haven’t had time to write earlier but thanks a lot! Your tip worked wonderfully.

Glad I could help! Thanks for the feedback ;)

Hi displayinline ;) how can scroll table’s “tbody” independent of “thead”? tnx

This is not possible by default (this is not standard in HTML and the template does not provide this feature), but you will find many plugins to help you achieve this ;)

Hi, can u help me to create a monthly calendar with all the days of a month on the axis of x, and user.names on axis of y ?’s possible ? tnx

I solved with a [table class=”calendar”]...[/table]

Glad to hear you already found a solution! ;)

Hi, I am seeing something strange. I can fix it but I would like your expert opinion on this. I have a table and at the footer, I am displaying a few buttons. Both the table and the buttons are part of a form. Here is the relevant section:

<tfoot> <tr><td colspan="4">
   <div><div class="float-left">

<button type="submit" class="button" name="action" value="Add"><img src="img/plus-circle.png" height="16" width="16" />New Item</button>

This code works in Firefox, I can see buttons with icons in them. But for some IE versions, it does not work. If I remove all references to images, then I can get them to work, like this:

<button type="submit" name="action" value="Add">New Item</button>

They don’t look as nice and I need to write extra code to do this. Is there a mistake somewhere in that html code that is preventing IE from working properly?

By the way, it is IE version 9.x and earlier that is not working.

Well, I have never seen this issue before, I really don’t know what may cause it… Your code looks perfectly valid, so there should be no problem with it.

I made some tests, but could not replicate the issue. Maybe something in your page is triggering a different doctype of render mode. Do you have an online demo I could check?

Hi display inline,

We have requirement to use this theme but considering you created it, it seems appropriate to pay you for your time to incorporate the theme into about 15 screens.

Are you available for hire to make several screens using constellation theme?

Thank you.

Sorry but I am not available for freelance work. If you need a good developer, you may check microlancer to find the one you need ;)

Anyway, thanks for the opportunity!

Ok, anyone that you would recommend that is familiar with your theme?

Well, unfortunately no… Sorry!

i need a cms for a medical event , i need profiles for the assistant, teachers, admin, and the assistant be able to send files for evaluating by the teacher

Can i use this script???

Actually this is not a functional admin, but only a skin for developers building their own CMS/admin. You need to code the features you want.

Let me know if you need more details!

hi there, can you tell me the fix only for datepicker in modal please? thanks

Simply add this style anywhere in your css:

#modal .datepick-popup {
    z-index: 999981;

Everything should work fine then! ;)

Hi, I am using galleryview to roll through some pictures. I was wondering if there was a way to put some text over the lower half of the images semi-transparently. Thanks a lot for any help in advance.

Sorry for the late reply.

Not by default, sorry. This can be done with a little bit of CSS, but the actual implementation depends on what you expect and how you plan to use it.

Basically, all you need to do is wrap your image in an element with display: inline-block; and position: relative; (for instance in the demo page, an anchor), and create the overlay element with the following properties:

position: absolute;
left: 0;
right: 0;
bottom: 0;
height: 50%;

Hope this helps! :)

Hi there,

since FF29, we’re having some small issues with some CSS in some buttons. As you can see in the image, a small white line shows at the bottom. With FF28 this issue does not happens, Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Ok… figured out that making this small changes made it: standard.css line 509, changed to height: 1.78em; and line 976 changed to line-height: 1.13em;

Hello, I am interested in this template – it looks very nice. However, users of my website will need to print certain pages quite a lot. When I look at print previews of the template in IE and Firefox, it does not look good at all. All of the images, colors, background, etc. is gone. Is it possible to make the prints look similar to what you see on screen?

Sorry for the late reply, I was on holidays. Actually you can’t really control how the pages will print, aside from changing font size and hide some elements. This is a limitation of the browsers themselves, not of this template.

You can customize the output a bit, by using a print stylesheet, but the code will depend on what you expect.

Sorry I can’t help more!

Hi ,

Can we expect new version of this template soon ?

Thank You

I want to know that can you convert the following template for Joomla 3.x? And how much would be the price?

I am sure you are aware that jQuery 1.6.3 Released on September 1, 2011 is very out dated and needs to be updated to a more stable and current version with the latest release as of (August 7, 2014) jQuery v1.11.0 or v2.1.0. And by doing this you could update all current jQuery libs/plug-ins currently being used within Constellation complete admin skin v1.5 bring this to a more secure item

I am using onTabShow, as this example:

$("#tab-ficheiros").onTabShow(function(){ $("#load_ficheiros").load('<?=CAMINHO?>_electrodos_ficheiros.php',{ "id_ficha" : $("#id_ficha").val() }, function(){ $(this).applyTemplateSetup(); }); });

the problem is that each time the tab is clicked, .load is incrementally loaded and all other ajax in it. Example:

and so on… can you help on this?

Any update for this project ? coming up ? additional components ?
