Hello, I’ve had the Creedence theme for a long time but I have to write to you every now and then, I’m fond of it! I have a problem: the products on offer are not displayed via the native WooCommerce shortcode. It allows me to view the products on offer only if they are virtual. Since I use the site to sell both online and in the shop, what could be causing the error? I note that I have everything updated daily and that I have already tried to disable all plugins. Hello, I have been a customer of yours for several years. Yesterday I updated Creedence to the latest version and, from what I’ve read, you added compatibility to the PHP 8 version. When I switch from hosting to 8.0 (or higher) the home page of my site doesn’t work anymore. You don’t see the home page of the site or the administration bar. going back to PHP 7.4 everything is working again. Is there something I’m doing wrong or another update to perform?

Please note that we haven’t tested the theme with PHP 8.1 so we do recommend using PHP 8.0 or PHP 7.4.
When updating theme and bundled plugins please follow instructions from this article – How To Update A WordPress Theme And Plugins. After you update the theme all of the bundled plugins with available updates should be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins. It is also important to update Creedence Core.

hi there, i just found out that even the site does not use a googlemap at all still the server connects to maps.googleapis.com which is against the new gpdr law in germany. how is it possible to disable googlemaps completely? thanks and all my best thomas

The function to include google map api script is located in functions.php on this path wp-content\themes\creedence\functions.php (please see screenshot). You can edit this in functions.php, however we do recommend using child theme so changes won’t get lost once you update the theme.

thanks i disabled line 202 – 214 it in the functions.php but then certain album custom fields like edge reviews do not work anymore. how can i disable the gmpas api but keep the reviews shown?

We haven’t tested our theme with WP 6.0 yet, however you can try using this plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version.
New WP versions introduced the block-based widgets feature, so we do recommend using this plugin which reverts widgets back to classic as a temporary solution until we add compatibility with block-based widgets.

Is this compatible with latest Wordpress? A bit worrying for potential customers to see you consider “latest update” 5.7 (and with unresolved pending problems since 5.5!) while we’re already past 5.9

hello i am not having technical issues with the import the theme importat the demo content to 100% – but the treme layout is missing. also it does not appear in the xml file provided with the theme so please help me out here. resources are super great. did you check yourself on a new installation if every layout gets imported? it seems the newer layouts are missing at all.

The theme is working correctly and you can test the player on our demo.
There are a lot of plugins available and it is not possible to test our theme with all of them. Our main focus is to help with built-in theme functionalities and supported plugins. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee compatibility of 3rd party plugins we haven’t tested with the theme.

I would say Creedence is one of the best theme out there, congrats… but please, please improve it with new features & improvements and i’ll buy it for sure!
Essential feature like every other themes has missing: 1. Center Logo Template , please – like your Shuffle theme ( Katy! )
2. Album Layout: Having FA icons for stores on an album page, not just link. or is it possible and i miss it ?
3. Album Layout: In your theme features, i see “4 Album Layouts”, but i can see only one on your demo right ? Is there a layout to see Cover first on top full page and then the infos ?

1. – 2.The Center Logo Template and having icons for stores on album pages are not theme features at the moment, however we will pass this on to our developers so it can be considered as a feature in one of the future updates. However, please note that we cannot guarantee that these features will be added as this will depend on how many users request them.
3. Regarding the Album Layout, if you are referring to the single album pages, then you can set Cover as the title background image ( please see screenshot ). This way image will be displayed in the title area which takes full width of the page and the album info will be below.

Dear Team, I have purchased your theme. It is looking good, but several core features refuse to work. I was already in contact with your support and it took a long time. You couldn’t help me solve my problem of making revslider a dynamic post slider with the templates you provided. It only worked with newly created slider templates. I paid a lot of money to use your templates, to use your designs. Another huge disappointment is the album pages. The player doesn’t show play play buttons like in the demos. It’s just the titles and only after I click them a play button appears. Latest video background images on the album pages also disappeared after updating to version 1.6
What shall I do. Right now I feel I spend 70 € for something that doesn’t hold up to a lot of it’s promises. Could you at least react to my support requests in a timely manner that is reasonable? I don’t have time forever, I have a label to run, music to promote. Your theme is making that harder, not easier at the moment.
Please react or find a way to give me my money back. As much as I would love to use your theme right now, it is not meeting any of the quality standards I have known from themes purchased on themeforrest.

Dear Team, I already bought your theme and the album audio is not working. When clicking on play nothing happens. I tried it with various mp3s and m4as but nothing happens. “Latest video” function in albums is also not working. Not even the imported template files show the video, though the url is clearly showing in the backend. i opened up a ticket with your support but it takes very long to answer. I didn’t buy the theme to wait days until I could get going when basic functions are clearly not working and these problems are undocumented and not listed in some troubleshooting guide. Please respond. Thank you

Hello guys, as it happened a couple of months ago when you updated the theme, again happened that all my translated strings are not showing. Last time I send you an email asking you advice and you didn’t even bother to answer. It is really sad to see how poor customer support you have. Thank you.
Also.. an year ago I wrote the following review: We are facing a world in which less and less we listen to people. I’ve contacted Edge-Themes saying that there were bugs in the updating and it took a while to them to agree with me and finally help me. Thanks for the help, now things got back to normal. But, if I was heard carefully right away, we could have saved time and nerves. Thanks for the team. But, I do wish, in case of new updating, extra care is highly recommended.

Two things, which were not right…
1.)We purchased the version 1.4.1
The html5 audio player didn’t work so i debbuged the code and found, that there was no event binding on the play button.
After reviewing the code on the demo side, i realized that there's JS codemissing which i then derived from the demo site and placed in the main template include file. (functions.php)
wp_enqueue_script( 'creedence-player-fix', EDGE_ASSETS_ROOT . '/js/playerfix.js', array( 'jquery' ), false, true );
Why didn’t you include the code ?
2.) When upgrading from version 1.4.1 to version 1.5 we lost all songs from
the albums and had to recreate several dozen tracks which was two days of work ! Do you test your code and updates ?
3.) jquery.prettyPhoto.js references to http://, so when having a secure site you have to regex replace the http:// to https:// urls !

This is a NO answer. We bought the initial version 1.4.1 and installed it accordingly.
Clearly, there’s code missing. I did a diff of the demo site vs. the bought plugin site.
Trust me, i do linux for 25 years !
The event code for the player is MISSING !
Also, the Envato plugin doesn’t show up the theme i purchased for the site.
We did the upgrade using the FTP method.
You changed the album table without migrations in the update file
So, provide me software package with all SOFTWARE needed to run the same as mentioned “in the demo site”
We payed and you’ve to deliver the features which is stated in the readme for the theme, it’s as simple as that.
