I’m sure I’m missing something simple, but can you take a look at http://sodblog.com/ and tell my why the formatting is out of whack?

You need to rebuilt thumbnails. You can do it with plugin AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ajax-thumbnail-rebuild/

For example http://d.pr/i/R1v2

Bingo; thank you.

No matter what I do, the theme doesn’t seem to respect either the Theme Color setting or ANY of the background options (color, texture, upload.) Setting it to light.css worked, so I know the settings are being saved.

Make sure that the theme files are writable.

No thumbnails for comments?

What do you mean?

There are no avatars for the people that comment on a post.

In the file functions.php replace

I’d like to know if this theme has blog viewing features. You know, to watch the posts in chronological order, not by categories.

If so, do you have some example or maybe a showcase?

Does this theme have mobile mode viewing?

Of course, this theme have 3 Blog layouts: 1, 2, 3 and for Light version: 1, 2, 3

Yes, this theme based on responsive design, this means you website will automatically adjust its layout and proportions to suit the device it is being viewed on. The theme content will be easy to read and easy to navigate whether it is being viewed on a desktop computer, a tablet or a mobile device.

Hey Zerge, I updated the theme but don’t see where the option is to change the top banner to a google ads banner. Can you help me out?

Generall Settings -> Banner Code http://d.pr/i/eUIj

Thanks! You’re always on top of it!

Great work (on all your themes). I’ve created a custom page to pull posts from a category. Everything works fine except I cannot display pagination. Was wondering if you had any insight?

Thanks :)

I need access to your admin panel. Send me a message through my profile.

twitter stopped working for no particular reason :// any idea ?

Try to disable some plugins.

strange bug, the twitter option simply dissapear from the widget section (only have the FB field). i removed it, re-added it and it was visible again.

ps : i have not added anything for weeks (no plugin, widget etc)...

anyway it works again :) thanks

My other post might not have gotten through, theme forest took to me a busted page after I hit submit. Please delete this if its a repeat. Thanks

Hey Zerge,

I’ve contacted you a few weeks ago regarding how to replace the top portion of the theme with a full width banner image, you provided me with the codes and it worked but it gets weird on different browser dimension. I have included two links below, one is to an illustration of screenshots on different scale browsers and a link to the actual site. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks a lot.

Just add to the style.css:

#logo img {width:100%}

Hey Zerge,

That wasn’t helpful, what I need is not only the background image to fill up the entire back space but also change to a different dimension or a completely different file when the screen size changes. Please look at this example http://dev.hospitalmedicine.org/AM/imageresize/resize.html Thanks

Unfortunately I can not help you with this. Code that I cited above, fully working and fixed bug with FF.

Hey Zerge,

Your theme looks excellent and I’m almost ready to buy it. One more question. Does this theme have custom sidebars? i.e. one for the main pages and one for example reviews etc?

Yes, Home page and Review pages have diferent sidebars.

Also you can watch this short video options overview – http://www.screenr.com/fJ38

For some reason unordered and ordered lists do not work. Also, I’m having trouble embedding video with simple embedding HTML code.

1. In the style.css (or light.css) change list-style-type: none; to list-style-type: disc; for

ul { list-style-type: none;    list-style-position: inside; margin-bottom: 15px; }

2. What the problem? Show me this on your site.

What you suggested gave me the ability to add an unordered list but still no ordered list. Also, under the review part of the theme, there is no way to edit the meta title or description like in the posts type.

1. Add to the stylesheet file:

ol {
    list-style: decimal;
    list-style-position: inside;

2. Yes, this feature currently available only for posts.

Thanks, I appreciate the help that worked. I wanted to add the option for a meta description and title for the review posts. I have the Yoast plugin installed but the title is repeating across the top. Would you be able to provide what to change to make the theme compatible with this plugin?

Try this http://d.pr/i/uLQe in the header.php (but be careful)

I might just have to live with it. There’s something else in the theme’s functionality that’s not compatible with that plugin. I really appreciate the help and fast responses, thank you.

I really like this theme but it’s making it impossible to do any copywriting. In the snapshot below, after multiple returns in the visual editor, it adds only DIVS . So, I thought maybe if I added a couple

 <br />
on the HTML side it would fix it. Nope, it sure doesn’t and I really don’t know how to fix this. Help is appreciated. http://cl.ly/Keie

I’ve tried two break tags with and without the trailing slash but it does not break the line.

<h3>Is there a Catch?</h3>
    <li>Due to the nature of this type of marketing, these are limited, exclusive campaigns that will not work for every company</li>

Use “Top margin” shortcodes.

Could you explain how to to that please? I’m not understanding why I need shortcode for a line break, thanks.

It’s not theme problem.

Try to add to the functions.php

remove_filter( 'the_content', 'wpautop' );

Could you explain how it’s not the theme’s issue? I’ve done nothing but edit the code that you had me change in the light.css stylesheet, because ‘out of the box’, it could not support ordered and unordered lists.

I’m not sure where to add that bit of code you provided. I added it to the bottom and it didn’t seem to do anything.

Please, don’t start new comments thread, just answer to my comments :)

It works 100% – http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wpautop

Add after

add_action( 'init', 'register_crumble_menu' );

I’ve resolved the issue with the margin error. Sorry about the multiple threads. I found it a little confusing that there is no reply function to your posts directly. Thanks for the responses and help.

For the unordered list you had me add:

margin-bottom: 15px;

but in the ordered list code snippet your provided you didn’t have the margin values. I think this is something you have in the CSS reset or something. Even still, these were options that should have worked out of the box. To me lists are a very common feature in Wordpress, however, my issue is resolved now.

Yep, this is one of the possible solutions.

Loving the theme, you put a lot of hard work into it :)

Everything worked great, except for one thing. The social counter widget is working for Facebook and for Twitter, but when I try to put in my feedburner URL I get the following:

file_get_contents(http://feedburner.google.com/api/awareness/1.0/GetFeedData?uri=theitbros) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP /1.0 404 Not Found in /home/theitbro/public_html/wp-content/themes/wp-crumblemagazine/functions/social-counter/scw_stats.class.php on line 15

I have Awareness API enabled and feedcount enabled. Also allow_url_fopen is already enabled on my server.

Any ideas? Really need the feed count to work.

The Google Feedburner APIs are no longer available.

That sucks lol! It isn’t your fault. Actually I ended up just using original RSS feed for subscribers and then implemented MailChimp’s subscribe to RSS . They have a cool feature for free where it will send out email updates to subscribers when I have new posts in my RSS feed. So in the end it worked out better I guess. I might still grab the default RSS feed image you had though and point it to /feed.

Thanks again!

Yep, MailChimp is cool service, I also like it :)
