Thank you flashmaniac!
I want to start a tumblr-style site and I wanted to use Wordpress and tumblog for it. I really like this theme, and I would consider using Tumblr, but I’m concerned about how much I can customize it.
It doesn’t have a Wordress-style backend where I can go in and adjust the sidebar and widgets and stuff, does it? How do I customize it?
Tumblr themes are just a single HTML file that includes all the CSS and necessary code for the theme to work. There is a customise option within your Tumblr profile allowing you to customise your theme. You can add any widgets to the sidebar within the HTML code. All my themes code is commented nicely for ease of finding certain items.
If you decide to purchase and need further help then please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
Just purchased earlier today and have made some custom tweaks – have to say it’s exactly what I was looking for
You can view the changes I made at http://microdocfilmmaker.tumblr.com
Thank you bluprojekt,
I’m glad you liked the theme and it’s nice to see how you’ve adapted it. It’s always good to see how people use my Tumblr themes.
I do have a question regarding the twitter feed – it seems it’s not working correctly – whenever I click on a hyperlinked twitter post in the feed, I get the following msg when it goes to the twitter site itself:
“Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”
I also see in the URL field the following after my twitter name:
“status/36182977876594690” where the numbers being the numerical representation of a specific twitter status.
Any ideas why this is happening?
I can’t seem to be able to replicate the error. When I click on the link that is after each tweet I get taken to Twitter and it displays your tweet. I’m not getting the error. Have you managed to fix this in the time I’ve replied?
Think I’ve just found what you were describing. The links are broken on my profile (using Desire theme). When the tweet is wrapped in a link it takes me to ‘Sorry page doesn’t exist’. I will have a look into this and let you know what is causing it ASAP .
There’s an update for this theme in the queue. I’ve managed to fix the twitter feed links. They now link to the right tweet instead of giving an error.
Looks great! Where can I find all the social network icons?
Thank you for the purchase
You can find the complete collection of social networking icons here. If you need any more help then please don’t hesitate to ask!
1 more Q: My Twitter stream won’t show Still having troubles on that or is it a config issue?
I’ve had a few problems with the Twitter feed, thought I had fixed it.
Do you have an email I can contact you at? So we can get this sorted.
To fix the Twitter problem search for the line containing:
<div id="twitterwrapper" style="display:none;" />
This is line 1649 within the HTML of the theme. All you need to do is remove
This should hopefully fix the issue, I managed to recreate the problem on my blog and this fixed it.
This issue will be fixed in the next update of the theme.
Yep, it was the display:none issue. Removed the code and it works like a charm. Thanks!!!!
I need some help.
I get an error message from tumblr each time I save and close.
If it can help I need to reset to defaults the appearance tab to see all the options (but this doesn’t help when saving and closing).
Thanks in advance for your help.
The problem was solved, sorry, it war probably a tumblr problem.
But I can’t get to show “è” or “à” in the titles.
Thank you for purchasing my Desire Tumbr Theme! The problem with the title text is that it uses a custom font with jQuery. Let me try regenerating the font with the added letters. If this doesn’t work we may need to use a different font.
Do you have an email address I can contact you directly at or would you be able to send me a message through my profile page?
I am not sure if I am just a moron. However, friends, when desire.html is open in text edit (the file that must be copied into tumblr is opening like a bootleg website. Not sure if this is common, but it is annoying. What can I do?
Thank you for purchasing my Desire theme!
I’m not quite sure what you mean. What text editor are you using? Or is the file opening up inside your internet browser (internet explorer, firefox, etc)?
Can this be tweaked to be all white? same structure just white minimalist look?
There currently isn’t a light version as no one has really requested one. The post icons sit over the top of the white background so they would need editing. I can work on an update to include the options to upload your own background image and change the background colour.
I think this would benefit everyone that uses the theme as well. Thank you for the suggestion!
please do! and thanks for the quick reply, I’ll be looking out for that light version
The update is now available! You can now add any colour or image to the background. You can also adjust the colour of the text in the header and sidebar to suite. This can all be achieved in the Appearance tab. Check out the Preview images for a light version.
Can you link me to a preview of it in all white? and omg your customer service is impeccable!
The grey looks amazing and I know with a few tweaks in appearance iit can go all white but can you show me a screenshot of the all white version?
I’ve added a photo post to the themes live preview. If you check it out here. You’ll notice I’ve added a white version of the theme and also what the appearance tab looks like. This will hopefully give you a better idea of what a light version of the theme will look like.
Howdy! So much nicer than my old Tumblr theme. Quick question though: in the appearance section it looks like that’s where you would set up the social networking icons but there is no way to upload them and the wording, “Facebook Icon Link” could be read as the url to your Facebook account or as a link to your own hosted image file. I can’t find this customization anywhere in the documentation. I would have thought like the affiliates there would be an upload and a link. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry, I figured it out, I hadn’t enabled the show icons, I guess I was confused since people asked about downloading the icons I assumed they had to be uploaded. Now if there were a way to disable the ones I didn’t need…
I’m glad you like the theme and thank you for the purchase
That would be a nice idea to be able to disable icons the user didn’t need. I will work on this section and think of a better way of adding the icons. I thought that using the most popular social networks as default gave the user less work. I tried giving the least amount of steps.
All feedback I receive shapes the theme for the future.
I am getting a whole bunch of errors with IE8 …
Thank you for the purchase!
Sorry to hear that your having problems but could you be more specific as to what kind of errors you are getting?
I have noticed a couple of layout bugs which I will address today and upload an update.
I am just getting the same errors that the desire preview is getting…

Oh my goodness! I’m going to have to look into this because I’ve not seen it before. Im working on an update to fix some other issues today. I’ll add this to the list. Thank you for letting me know!
Cool! I have to finish a website before I get my blog going anyway
Thank you for your patience whilst I work on the bugs. I’ve been snowed under with freelance projects this past week. I now have some spare time to crack this out for you. You can follow me on Twitter for updates on my progress if you like.
Hello. I just bought the template today but I only see the body font options. How do I show the rest?
Thank you for purchasing my Tumblr theme.
I’m currently working on an update for this theme. What text would you like to change and I will add that into the options panel.
why does my site looks like crap
I followed your instructions. coped and paste. and it just spat out this thing..
seriously. i wasted 17$ for nothing.sorry.. i’m just frustrated. i tried resetting everything to default. I don’t know what the deal is.
I’m sorry to hear you don’t like the theme or the fact you would like a refund. If you could email me through my profile page I’m sure I can help you out.
Some constructive criticism would be nice on how you think the theme is of poor quality so I can then improve it.
If you would like a refund you will need to contact Envato through their support form.
Sorry again for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
I’m having a bit of trouble Chris, can’t seem to get my twitter feed to close land open like it use to, figured you might help mine is at http://robertlowe.tumblr.com/
Thank you for purchasing!
I will need to have a closer look at this when I have some spare time. Did you delete anything within the code to make this happen?
The Tumblr theme that I have bought is not working. In the instructions that were given I downloaded Notepad and that didn’t seem to work either.I am having many problems with trying to get the actual theme to show up in tumblr. The only thing showing up is the actual code
that was put into the custom html code.
Thank you for purchasing my theme. I’m sorry to hear that your having problems with it. If you could message me through my profile page, I can respond quicker and with a better guide on how to install it.
Hey, loving the theme for my blog it is just what I was looking for. My site is remsyatassi.com … my only question is whether there is a way to make the photo pullout size larger. I usually link photos from my flickr and wish the dropout box was bigger.
Thank you for purchasing my theme. The photo pop up goes to the size of your monitor so the whole image can be seen without scrolling down. Do you have an example of one of your photo posts so I can see if the pop out can be bigger?
