Welcome to the Forest.
Kind Regards,

This is a good theme but i suggest to make good banner to create good impression of your product. I am sorry banner is not given proper time.

Yes, thanks for suggestion. We already re-uploaded the images and screenshots, waiting for update :)

Nice job! Looks great! Keep it up!

Does this theme supports featured images? Or grab it the first image in posts to show it on the index? This means also embedded images from flickr?

This theme supports Feature image for posts. Images of a post or embed image from Flickr only show when you click on that post. Cheers,

Great work, glws ;)

Thanks for all the warm welcome guys :)

I have a few questions about this theme before purchase.

1. Can you change the background colour to white? 2. Can you filter posts by category to create a category specific page? 3. Can you add tiles as images links to product pages on the site?

Thanks in advance, Anthony

Hi Anthony, 1. Change background color: >> Yes, you can. All you have to do is input the CSS style into the Custom code area in Admin panel: Dashboard / Appearance / Customize / Custom code header. For ex:

<style> body,.modal {background: #fff;} .grid-wrap, .col-grid [class*=”col-”] {border-color: #fff;} .headline .entry-title {color:#333;} @media (max-width: 979px) {#inner-wrap {background: #fff;}} </style>

2. Filter posts by category: >> We do support this function, you can check it on our demo: Blog / Categories:

3. Add titles as images links to product pages on the site: >> Can you tell us more about this? Any screenshot or sample is appreciated.

What Post Format are available?

We support 3 post formats: Standard, Gallery, Video Here is the guideline for it:

This… theme… is… awesome. And every word under awesome in the thesaurus.

Greetings, I recently purchased this theme, but when I upload it to wordpress I get this message: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

I didn’t change anything to the file. I allowed Wordpress to upload the zip file. Could anyone please assist me in resolving this issue?

I figured it out… thanks

Thank you for purchasing the theme. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything else, thanks! :)

Is this theme woocommerce compatible?

Hi Maartendc,

The DW Fixel theme do not support woocommerce yet. Maybe in a future update.

Kind regards.

Hello, is it possible to load pages/posts as a normal page rather than the popup option? I would not like to lose the full menu when I load a page/post.

You can disable the default popup to have the main menu always on the top.

Please open up the main.js file in themes/dw-fixel/assets/js folder, find the following code (around line 342):

if( ! isIE || ( isIE && parseInt( jQuery.browser.version ) > 8 ) ) {

and change it into this:

if( false ) {

Hope that helps!

Have the option to change the color of the background?

Hi Raul,

Currently, the theme does not have an option to change background color. But for now, you can do that by go to Dashboard / Appearance / Customize / Custom Code, and the the code below to Header Code section:

<style> body,.modal {background: #fff;} .grid-wrap, .col-grid [class*=”col-”] {border-color: #fff;} .headline .entry-title {color:#333;} @media (max-width: 979px) {#inner-wrap {background: #fff;}} </style>

P/S.: We’ll add this option to the next updated vertion of DW Fixel theme.

Hope this helps!

Question about the Social Wall template:

Can I customize a post block to be 3 columns wide vs. the standard 1? What if I want it 2 columns wide? What about 4 columns (100%)?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Massappeal,

To customize post blocks in Social Wall template, you can add the CSS code below to Appearance / Customize / Custom Code / Header Code:

1 column:

.block.grid-sizer,.block.w2 {width: 100%;}

2 columns:

.block.grid-sizer,.block.w2 {width: 50%;}

3 columns:

.block.grid-sizer,.block.w2 {width: 33.3%;}

4 columns:

.block.grid-sizer,.block.w2 {width: 25%;}

Hope that helps!

Thanks for getting back me. This ‘works’ and had figured this much out, but what I’m really wanting is more customization than I believe CSS is going to give me.

I’d like to have 2 columns wide, but ONLY half the size; thus being more of a rectangle look than squared.

I sent you a message if you’re interested in helping me further for custom work.

Hi Massappeal,

What you want to customize sounds nice, however, it will turn out to be a complete different theme from our theme concept.

Furthermore, we are all tied up with other projects, so unfortunately we could not help you on this custom work.

Kind regards.

Hi, I have a problem: when going to “Customize” theme, I get an Internal Server Error 500. When adding these two lines (in order to debug), everything works fine: define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true); define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true); ...but I do not want a log. I also noticed, when adding these two lines the following errors, when pressing the Customize>

Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 5883 bytes in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\dw-fixel\inc\theme-customization.php on line 33

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\dw-fixel\inc\theme-customization.php on line 34

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\dw-fixel\inc\theme-customization.php on line 219

I use WP 3.8.1.

Thanks for getting back. Now I get this error: Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 5881 bytes in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\XXXX\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\dw-fixel\inc\theme-customization.php on line 33

and no fonts are available. The fonts have never been available.

Hi Skeem,

Please raise the issues to our support page at:

We’ll help you sort out the issues. You can create a private question with details like your site URL, your WP and FTP login info.

So we’ve been clicking around a bit here and found a couple of bugs…

1a. If you click any given post on the homepage, you’ll end up on the single post page with an option to ‘close’ the post at the top right. BUT!!! If you refresh the page ‘as is’, you’ll see the ‘close’ button disappears and the navigation/header is now visible.

1b. The reason I refresh on this page is that I created a custom stylesheet to color the widget title backgrounds, considering they weren’t a part of the ‘Color Schemes’ for the Theme. My custom style didn’t activate until I hard refreshed. Thinking if 1a problem were resolved, it would fix both.

2. On the single post page, the ‘widget titles’ should be a part of the customizable ‘Color Schemes’ for the Theme under Appearances.

Hi Massappeal,

1a. That was by refreshing the page will disable the popup post (no ‘close’ button). If you want to have the main menu always visible, you can disable the popup by follow the steps here:

Open up the main.js file in themes/dw-fixel/assets/js folder, find the following code (around line 342):

if( ! isIE || ( isIE && parseInt( jQuery.browser.version ) > 8 ) ) {

and change it into this:

if( false ) {

1b&2. To resolve the issue, you can change widget title backgrounds with ‘Color Schemes’ option. To do that, please open up the theme-customization.php file in themes/dw-fixel/inc folder, find the code below (around line 296):

<style type="text/css" id="fixel_color" media="screen">

and change it into this:

<style type="text/css" id="fixel_color" media="screen">
.single-detail .side-bar .widget-title,
.single .single-page .side-bar .widget-title {
background-color: <?php echo $fixel_color; ?>;

Hope that helps!

Thanks, this worked!

Can I choose the category of post to show on frontpage?

Thanks :)
