Current version of the theme should work correctly with the latest version of WordPress.

Hi! Did an upgrade to v.1.7 as it is described in documentation (download from Envato Market and upload files to eldritch), after everything was done, I got this error “PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function eldritch_edge_create_wp_widget()”. I cannot find that function anywhere in the code. Did you forget to add this function in the release? Thanks

When updating theme and plugins we recommend following steps described in this article – How To Update A WordPress Theme And Plugins.
After you update the theme all of the bundled plugins with available updates should be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins. It is important to also update Edge Core plugin there to the latest version.

When will this support Wordpress 6.2?

do you have any plans to update this theme to the latest version of PHP and wordpress? Love the theme but it now has a broken core and is unusable. The version of slider revolution included is so outdated it too also crashes the site. Want to use this one but not sure if your ever gonna update it again.

Thank you for your reply. I was in the process of building the site (rebuilding actually but that was from a server move and such) when all this happened. So for now we have taken the site down until the end of the month when we can put more focus on it. But will be using this theme for it for sure.
With the updates to the bundled plugins, that would be great, will do that when i put the site back up.

You can try using Classic Widgets plugin as a temporary solution if you are having some issues on the latest WordPress version.

Also, how do you edit the footer or sidebar on pages? “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” is what I get whenever I go to Widgets.

In case that you are running latest WordPress version, please note that we haven’t tested our theme with WP 5.9 yet, however you can try using this plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version.
WP 5.8 introduced block based widgets feature, so we do recommend using this plugin which reverts widgets back to classic as a temporary solution until we add compatibility with block based widgets.

Post category pages are archive pages, you can read more about them in the following article, so this means that theme options are applied to these pages.
You can for example, set up title background image for pages on your site under theme options. However, such an option to add different background image for post categories, unfortunately doesn’t exist within our theme.

Hi, I have a quick pre-sale question! I’m wondering if the “Blog” section can be implemented on the homepage in a non-masonry style? The Shop Home on Eldritch theme is actually a default shop page, however, you can set some other page to be the default shop page in WooCommerce > Settings, and add blog list shortcode to it using WPBakery page builder. You can see the result here or on the example of masonry blog list here.

Usually demo import issues are related to weak resources and you can see our recommendations regarding those in this article Recommended PHP Versions And Resources And How To Set Them. Also, in case that you are using cache plugin, please deactivate it. It’s recommended that cache plugin stays deactivated during demo import and while the site is still in the development stage.
For demo import please follow instructions from this article How To Import Demo Content Using The One-Click Demo Import Feature. On the off chance that you’ve waited for a while and the demo import didn’t finish properly, you can try importing via XML import.
