Regarding the portfolio list element, is it possible to use it to display only images with no links? Basically to use it as an image gallery. So when a user hovers over, there would only be options to view in lightbox or like it.
Yes, it can be done, with some simple custom css, to remove the link.
We would need to see the actual page, to write you the precise css for this.

Is all of the imported demo content editable via Visual Composer?
When you import demo site – all the pages content is built and editable via Visual Composer yes.
Just of course – for header and footer options, color styles, menus…you can’t use Visual Composer, it’s for the content part. For everything else, you just need to set appropriate options, nothing to worry.

I’m using the one-click demo import via Qode options >Qode import, but only 96% will download? I’ve tried restarting the browser and restarting the pc but it always stops at 96%?
Any ideas why?
It could mean that your server resources are low, and that’s causing this import issue. We recommend you to submit a private ticket to https://qode.ticksy.com with a link to your site, and WP admin credentials, and we will check this and help you to import the demo content properly.
My support has run out. Could you point me in the right direction so i can try and resolve myself?
First: Try increasing your server resources like (memory_limit, max_execution_time and upload_max_filesize) or ask your host to increase them, and try import again. It should help.
Second: If not, you can use XML import, in theme package you downloaded from themeforest, you will find xml export folder -> and inside it elision_content.xml file, that you can import from Tools -> Import via default WordPress importer.
If that doesn’t help as well, send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can check further and help.
Since the last WordPress update the visual composer will not load on the Edit a Page screen.
Latest Elision theme version is 3.2 , and it includes latest version of Visual Composer 4.12 , and everything should work fine with new WP version.

hello, i’m done the site finally. My customer has a small issue with the home page slider text and image in Internet Explorer. just need this one last help. If you can accommodate me that would be most excellent please, as I don’t have any more issues.
Customer said “I checked on my computer and it is well centered if I use Chrome. If I use MS Explorer, it is almost fine, but not 100% centered. The text has to be moved slightly to the right.”
“Also in MS Explorer the font type is Serif. Is it possible to make it Sans Serif font as the rest of the text on the website is in Sans Serif fonts?”
When I check on my other computer on MS Explorer which has a different monitor, the slider image along with the text does not fit the screen at all. The slider image is twice as big as the rest of the page for some reason.
Also on the footer – how do I remove the blog post saying “posted in”?

We were unable to fine previous ticket for your ID. Probably tickets were submitted from different account.
Some browsers will render fonts differently, especially older MS version, and this might be the case here. Also note that if you are experiencing this on some older version of MS, then it is because of browser limitation.

Yes, sorry, it is new rule inducted by envato, but beside that, without sharing your site link or providing us with more details, this is really like “hunting in troubled waters”. As explained previously, it is very delicate thing because you are stating that there is an issue on IE without specifying IE version, and also without sharing you site link.
This is something that our support agents have to investigate, and they need to have WordPress and FTP admin access. That is why we are insisting on submitting support ticket.

Is there a way to add a class name via the shortcode without visual composer? I.E. [button class=”classname”] – if there is I would greatly appreciate knowing as it would save me the time from having to update the theme just to use visual composer to do it!
It depends, because some elements have extra class name field, and others don’t. For button for example, there is only ID field, so you can use ID instead http://screencast.com/t/qMmpI6ir8qvc so code should go something like this:

Since all shortcodes are integrated trough Visual Composer plugin, which is required plugin, you have to update theme, and to use page builder in order to add elements (shortcodes) to your pages.
Bought a licence couple times already from Qode (Elision). Had never asked them any questions in regards of issues. Now after 6 month and on 7th month found an issue in Safari…But cannot get any help, because support option had been expired 2 weeks ago. I think, if they have a choice 6 month or let’s say 1-5 issues coverage for 2 years, might be more flexible.
With each purchase, you will have 6 months, and in case that you purchased theme several times, maybe you still have active support for some of your purchases, so try submiting a ticket at https://qode.ticksy.com with different purchase code.
We can take a look, if you share your site link and tell us what is the problem, but most of the time, our support experts need to be able to debug issues with different browsers.
I just installed and configured your fantastic EDISON theme.
I started to change , after importing the demo , ( for example ) the slides etc … but all the changes that I make are not saved . why?
I am currently working on a test database before going live permanently on its domain .
How can I fix the problem?
This may be related to WordPress instillation file permissions, so try setting them according to WP Codex https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
Also, check if some security script or server firewall is blocking changes on theme folder / css / style_dynamic.php

For some reason I’m unable to get visual composer to upgrade. I’ve uninstalled the plugin so the theme pushes for the install and it just installs 4.7 over and over again.

I’m usig the Qode Slider for my website. For any reason the function to change the menu color depending to the slides doesn’t work. I’ve uploaded two Logos (Light/Dark) and changed the header style in each slide at the bottom of slide settings. Nothing happens except the color of the side arrows.
Note: I’m using the actual version of your theme.

When I try to change the images on Qode options/all Qode custom fields), I click the text field and it pops up upload,url,media options. I’ve tried everything, when I click insert into post it just clears the text field and doesn’t put anything. I’ve tried uploading same result. I can’t even paste url in the field because it opens the selection popup. Regards!
