Just bought the theme and trying to make the Coda slider work by attaching a featured image to the slides but only the writing comes on the slider, not the images… not quite sure what’s wrong…
Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Do you have a live version? I can’t really see whats going on without looking at the site.

I want to use the Nivo Slider at the Homepage, but I see, there is not a Autoplay? I want to have the Autoplay for the Nivo Slider. How can I do it?

I adore your ellipsis theme, and have been using it for many months. Thank you for all the effort that went into the design.
I’m wondering if someone can contact me about how I can post an item on your dedicated support page? I don’t see where I can list a new question and the answer I need isn’t previously covered. Basically, I’m overlooking why I can’t get my page navigation links to show on my blog. I have it set so only 4 blogs show per page, I currently have 8 all together, but there is no page #2 and 5 blogs appear on the primary page. Here is the link: http://goo.gl/LLCXK
I’ll be happy to repost on your support forum if you advise where I should post it. Thanks in advance for your help!
Can you assist? This is the link to the blog area:
To start a new topic, just click the “Ask a New Question” button in the Ellipsis area of the forum:
For the pagination, have you installed and activated “proper pagination”? You’ll need to do that to enable pagination in the theme.
Thanks so much, Andre. The proper pagination plugin is outdated by over 2 years according to the note that pops up when I follow the link in the documentation packet. Is there another plugin you can recommend that will achieve the same results?
And I see what I’m not getting in the forum. I only see a generic support forum, not the Elllipsis one in your example. In the general forum there is no Ask A Question button present. I don’t see how to get to the Ellipsis forum. I apologize for the extra steps for you…
It still works with the theme. I’m working on switching this to a newer plugin, but in the mean time the plugin works great with the theme.
For the forum, here are the steps you should take. First, be sure you’ve Signed Up for the support forum. Next,
1) Go here:
2) Click on “Ellipsis WordPress Theme”. (If you see a message that says “You don’t have permission to view this category.” you haven’t signed up/logged in.)
3) Click on the “Ask a New Question” button.
Let me know if you’re still having issues, and what step you’re getting stuck on, and I’d be happy to help you further.
Perfect. Thanks. I see what I was doing wrong with the forum. I was logged in, but didn’t realize I needed to scroll down to find the Ellipsis forum.
And I will download that plugin right now. Again – your fast response time and help is sincerely appreciated. All the best to you!
Could you kindly update this theme with responsiveness .. ?
Excellent idea. I’ll have to make sure this feature gets added to the updates list, however, I’m not sure if/when this feature will be added, unfortunately. But it’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind for future updates.
Safe to upgrade wordpress 3.9 ?
Yep! I’ve done some testing locally and it appears to work great with 3.9. If you happen to find any bugs though, just let me know!
Also, be sure your plugins are compatible with the latest version of WordPress before updating as well. Plugin incompatibility can break your site as well.

Hi! The website I’m building, the word “services” would be more appropriate than the word “portfolio” in the url. How do I change each portfolio page to read, for example:
Wow! Thanks for the prompt response. I was able to locate a thread pertaining to my issue and the problem was solved just like that. Thank you so much! You’re the best!
Excellent! I’m so glad. Any additional questions, just start a new topic on the support forum and I’d be happy to help!
Will this theme ever be updated ….
Adding responsiveness to the theme isn’t something that’s planned for future releases at this time. Unfortunately, there just hasn’t been enough demand yet to justify re-coding the entire theme to be responsive.
Was there another feature that you were looking for besides responsive design?
Stable with Wordpress 4.0 ?
Yep! It’s 4.0 compatible.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Hi, is there an option to have the Integrated Slider curve the other way? I mean so the left and right of the slider image is lower than the centre.
Unfortunately, there’s no option for the slider to curve the other way. It’s possible, but you’d need to make some modifications to the theme to extend this functionality. This type of customization would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. You’d need to implement these changes yourself of seek the help of a 3rd-party programmer to assist you with something like this.
I wanted to say I’ve been using your theme for a number of years and absolutely love it. I would really love for the theme to be responsive though. I noticed someone mentioned there were no plans to make it responsive due to lack of demand for it, so I figured I’d let you know I would love to see it responsive, too.
Google now identifies sites as MOBILE FRIENDLY or not in search, and I’d love to have my site labeled that way, as well, especially if it may be a determining factor if someone clicks on my site vs a competitors. Thank you again for such a wonderful theme.
Thanks so much for letting me know about your request. Ellipsis was created in the pre-mobile, pre-responsive era. A lot of the technologies (portfolio sorting, sliders, etc) weren’t developed to be responsive. Making this theme responsive would be a huge rewrite to a majority of the code, unfortunately. I’ll be sure to make note of your request, but I’m not sure that this theme will get rewritten. The theme will continue to get maintenance/bug fixes but responsive views are something that might not be in a future update.
Thanks for getting back to me, Andre. I’m a web designer so I completely understand this theme was made before responsive design was in the spotlight. I still love it though, and am going to see if our developer will make it responsive for us so I can continue using it . =) Thank you again for the reply, and all the best!
Okay, sounds good! Thanks for your understanding. If you want to make some modifications, I would suggest using a child theme to help in case you need to update the theme in the future. Using a child theme can help prevent some conflicts.
Let me know if you need any additional assistance,
Great, thank you again. I definitely will. =) Enjoy your weekend!
You as well!
Ellipsis 1.5 is safe to upgrade to Wordpress 4.2.2 ?
Yep! Safe to update!
