Hi, thanks for a great theme.

Would you be so kind to include all layered PSD files for customisation? At the moment only files for some icons are included. For a theme like this I would expect all page layouts so I can easily customise.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there,

although I consider myself proficient in photoshop, I don’t do my website design mockups anymore in that software. With the advancements of web technologies such as CSS3 and HTML5 , I’m able to do my mockups straight in the browser, skipping photoshop, and thus saving large amounts of time and resources in developing a website. So you see, CSS3 and HTML5 enable me to do everything what photoshop can, when it comes to these sites that don’t require heavy, or should I say complex graphics.

Thanks! Just another quick one then. Is it possible to link from the homepage slider to portfolio pages?

Thanks again.

Of course it’s possible. You have everything explained in the docs, regarding the “linked slides” feature.

Good luck,

after purchased echo, I purchased Equilibrium, i just wanna say : AWESOME WORK !

Congratulation from France onioneye… ;)

I’m glad you like it so much!

Enjoy working with the theme, and say hello to the rest of the France for me, will ya? :)

i have a question… why when i add widget “custom menu” in my footer, i have big horizontal and vertical scrolling on the bottom of my site…?

Spot on for seeing that horizontal scroller at the bottom of the site, when the custom menu widget is active. Will smooth it out ASAP , and provide an update. ;)

Important Update: This minor bug has been fixed in the newest version of the theme. Please download the theme again, and update it. :)

the link: http://s378965704.onlinehome.fr/problem.jpg thank you! ;).

In fact… all the widget area in the footer doesn’t work :s

Thank you for taking the time to make this screenshot. I identified why the “custom menu” widget is behaving the way it is, so I’m already preparing a first, minor update to the theme, which should arrive very, very soon.

Stay tuned for more,

OnionEye :)

I just want to say a big thank you to all the people, who said such nice things about the theme. I really appreciate it!

Stay tuned for more super-duper WordPress themes. :)

Yours truly,

Really really great work–both this and Echo. I’m having a hard time deciding which one to purchase. Wish I had the budget to purchase both!!

I especially appreciate your attention to typography. Looks great, stands out from other “clean” themes. The only option I’d like to see (on these and pretty much all themes) is the inclusion of Google’s webfont repository. Although, I can also see that leading to some horrible typographic disasters!

Anyway, great job and I hope this theme is successful!

Thank you very much for complimenting my work! :)

As far as the integration of google webfont respository is concerned, I think it would be an overkill because there are already some plugins that do this for you.

Kind regards,

Hello, great work i really love it. Exactly what i have been looking for. I love the little details in the design.

Before purchasing i do have 4 questions:

1)How many photos can go into each portfolio item in the slider? I have sometimes photoseries of 20 and up that i need to have together.

2)Is it possible to have photos as well as video in the same portfolio item?

3) Is it possible to activate lightbox and direct the viewer from the filterable portfolio directly to a lightbox slideshow if wanted ?

4) If a photo is vertical format will it be too large to fit in the screen?

Thanks for taking your time and answering, keep making such beautiful themes…

Greetz from Germany !

Hey there,

I’m really glad that you like the theme. It makes me fell all warm inside to hear people appreciating my work so much. :)

Here are the answers to your questions:

  1. The slider takes up a maximum of five images. Moreover, I don’t think it’s a good idea to put 20 images per one portfolio item because that would considerably prolong that item’s page loading time, which is never a good thing. You should probably find a way to allocate those pictures to multiple items.
  2. No, unfortunately, this custom feature doesn’t come built into the theme, but I’m sure it can be made fairly quickly, by modifying a couple of lines of code.
  3. Yes, of course. This would be really easy to achieve.
  4. No worries about this one. If the image is too large, it will be shrinked to fit the required dimensions.
  5. Have a great day,

Hi! I just bought Equilibrium and its fantastic! I’m having a problem getting the latest post thumbnails on the homepage working. How do I set those? Thanks for a great theme! //Gemma

Hi, Gemma! :)

When editing a post, or making a new one, you need to click on the “Set featured image” link, and you’ll be able to upload new, or choose existing images to use as the thumbnail for that specific post. After you’re finished with that, just click the “Use as featured image” link, and you’re done!

Sincerely, OnionEye

Beautiful theme.

How can I change the text that is displayed after the contact form is submitted?

Hey Carla,

To change the text of the heading displayed in the modal window, you first need to find the following line of code in the jquery.custom.js file:

jQuery( '#modalContactForm h4' ).text( jQuery( 'a[href="#modalContactForm"]' ).text() );

Once you have done that, just replace it with the following line, and change the “your custom text here” string to whatever text you want:

jQuery( '#modalContactForm h4' ).text( 'your custom text here' );

Sincerely, OnionEye

Hello Onioeye,

First of all congratulations for this beautifully done theme! I would like to purchase it and have a few questions for you.

1. Can I have 3 separated portfolios? 2. Can i get the theme looking like the preview image ( without telephone number and icons on the top and with tittle on the left)? 3. How many images can I display in the viewer of each portfolio item page? 4. can the background pattern be plain white?

Thanks a lot and have a nice day.

Hello there, Skwid. :)

Thanks for complimenting my theme. I’m really glad you like it. :)

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Yes, you can have three separated portfolios, but this custom functionality requires some minor adjustments to the code.

2. Sure, just leave these two options empty in the theme options panel. As far as the logo positioning is concerned, this requires a small change to the CSS code, but I can help you with that.

3. A maximum of five images are allowed in the slider.

4. Yes, you can use any color or pattern. Even your own custom made patterns.

Have a nice day as well, Skwid. :)

Hi onioneye! I would like to adapt something but I do not know if it possible … I would like to adapt in my template-home.php the functions of “the latest articles” to “the latest projects”. In fact I would just like the little slide and the last 6 articles show my projects in my Portolio rather than articles … I do not know if it’s clear ..?! lol: s :)

Hi there!

No worries, I perfectly understood what you’re trying to achieve. :)

Please shoot me an email and I’ll see what I can do for you.

Hi, i have some problem with this theme and have emailed my qns to your email: zlatan@onioneye.com , hope to hear from you soon! thank you!

I just finished answering all the emails in my inbox, so I’m sure I answered yours as well, even though I couldn’t really tell which one it was.

Hi. Beautiful theme. One question before I purchase. Is it possible to have actual text in the home page slider?

Of course! You can have text, HTML , shortcodes, videos, and any other custom content in the slider! :)

Have a gorgeous day,

I’m having problems with the Related Projects thumbnails. It seems that if the title text for a related thumbnail extends to two lines of text, then it throws off the alignment of the thumbnails. How can I correct this?

An example of this problem can be found here – http://www.clisinski.com/portfolio/empty-refrigerated-shelves/

Beautiful theme, by the way. :)

Hey there, Carla. :)

Thanks for informing me about this. I’ll fix this and update the theme as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if you have any other questions, just shoot me an email, or reply to your thread right here.

Sincerely, OnionEye

Important Update: This minor bug has been fixed in the newest version of the theme. Please update it. :)

Hello, i am advancing with the installation and i am still superhappy with the choice. Best theme i have seen on themeforest in ages. But i gotta couple of questions that hopefully you can help out with…

- I would love to kick out the latest Portfolio posts on the “home” landing page…. how do i do that?

- I don´t find the flickr preview and twitter widgets. Maybe i accidentally deleted them ? how do i get them back ?

- i don´t find where to add my telephone and cail that is seen on the top left. Any hint ?

- I need the slider to show Headline and text over the photo that then links to its full content. How can i achieve this ? Check http://yoga-matt.net as an example, i would love to have the transparent black boxes…

- My dream for the blog section would be to increase the picture size to 520 and hover over the text. Anyway this is possible for a regular human being without nerd skills ?

Thanks once again for all the eye for the detail (i love the little animation in the portfolio section). My suggestion is to expand the slides to at least 10 in the next update as its now the case in classica and any other ones. I also would prefer bigger picture in the blog section as mentioned ! But overall a very very good theme and i´ll pass it along as a tip for my friends…

Keep creating.

Warm Regards,

Hey Ole,

I’m really happy to hear that you’re still delighted with the theme. :)

I’ll be happy to answer all your questions, so here goes:

  1. To achieve this, open the template-home.php file in your preferred text editor, and delete everything from the following line of code:
    <!-- START .latest-projects -->

    <!-- END .latest-projects -->
  2. Download the theme again, and look for the “custom-widgets” folder. The widget files are inside that folder. You can find the instructions on how to install the mentioned widgets in the docs.
  3. An option called “Custom Header Text”, found in the theme options panel, is in charge of this. Find it, and enter any custom text or HTML you want, in it.
  4. If you’re comfortable with editing the php and the CSS code, then I guess this wouldn’t be too hard for you to implement. However, if you’re not, I suggest hiring a freelance designer/developer, who will make this custom feature for you fairly quickly and pretty cheaply as well.
  5. Of course it is possible, but you have to be comfortable with php code to modify it. The file you need to change is called template-home.php.

    I really tried hard to make the code as straight-forward and readable as I could, so I guess that someone who knows a bit a about code could do this fairly quickly.

  6. By the way, I just fixed some minor bugs in the theme, so please download it again, and update the theme files on your server.

    Oh, and thanks for all the suggestions you gave me, regarding the improvement of the theme. I really appreciate it! :)

Hi, I see you get bombarded with questions so here’s another one (really hope you don’t mind). I wanted to include a social icon at the top of the page that is not included in the options.

I started to look through the files and found references to the social media options in the following files: options.php and theme-functions.php

Are there any other files I need to change. Where can I find the styling of the icons? I am quite new to php but can change lines of code by example so simply guidance would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

BTW , really enjoy working with the theme! Well done!

I honestly don’t mind answering all the questions. :)

You can find the styling for the icons in the style.css file. To achieve your desired scenario, I suggest you make a new icon first, and insert it in the /equilibrium/images/layout/ folder. Once that is done, add a new option in the options.php file for it, and then change the “eq_social_networks” function in the theme-functions.php file, to account for this change.

By the way, please update the theme to the newest version, before doing anything else. I have fixed some minor bugs just hours ago, so I can finally use the words “backed to perfection,” when referring to the theme. :)

Just loaded the W3 Total Cache plugin to find 80 separate JS scripts. Is there a way to combine these so Google does not penalize us?

So far, trying to combine this complex array with the W3 Total Cache Plugin just beaks the theme.

I was able to get the 10 CSS files to combine without any problems.

But “80” separate JS scripts, don’t know where to begin…

Whoa, 80 JavaScripts and 10 style sheets per page? That’s not possible, unless the W3 Total Cache plugin somehow messes things up, or you’re just using way to many other external plugins for your site.

The Equilibrium theme is especially optimized for speed, which you can not really see on the demo site because my server is pretty slow these days. Nevertheless, if you check the source code out a bit, you’ll see that the scripts and the style sheets are only included where they are really needed, and not on the pages where they’re not of any use.

Here’s a little advice: try using the WP Super Cache plugin. I use it constantly for my themes, and it works perfectly.

I just switched to the hypercache plugin.

Excellent. I hope it works perfectly for you. :)

Also trying sort out what it is you need to change in order for the Pretty Photo lightbox to work? I saw that we are supposed to go to the Pretty Photo site, but what are we looking for? My current theme uses pretty photo flawlessly, but this one does not. I am missing something….

I was just about to answer your question, when I saw your new comment below. Great stuff!

onioneye hi! I saw that you had done no updates for your theme! I want to congratulate you for your response! Thank you! But I really changed your theme so I need to know exactly where your changes if possible! Thank you in advance!

Mamadoo :)

Of course, Mamadoo. :)

The files that were slightly modified in the first update of the theme are the following: timthumb.php, style.css, slider.php, and footer.php.

By the way, I’m glad you’re enjoying your time working with the theme.

I just found a solution for the pretty photo lightbox.

Add this to your functions.php file:

add_filter( 'wp_get_attachment_link', 'sant_prettyadd');

function sant_prettyadd ($content) {
    $content = preg_replace("/<a/","<a rel=\"prettyPhoto[slides]\"",$content,1);
    return $content;

it will add the pretty photo class to your images so you don’t have to go back and add it yourself to all your images.

Thanks again for sharing your useful code with the rest of the people out here. :)

Have you managed to adapt the code in the single.php file, as intended? Maybe the following code would work:

<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail())  { ?>

    <?php $large_image_url = wp_get_attachment_image_src(get_post_thumbnail_id($post?>ID), 'full'); ?>

    <a href="<?php echo $large_image_url[0] ?>" rel="prettyPhoto[slides]">
   <?php the_post_thumbnail('large'); ?>
<?php } ?>

Thank you so much for the code adaption. Here is what I found, the first snippet results in an invalid path for the light boxed image. The second snippet has an small error. an extra ?> in the middle of the postID

Here is the working code others can insert on their single page:

<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail())  { ?>

    <?php $large_image_url = wp_get_attachment_image_src(get_post_thumbnail_id($postID), 'full'); ?>

    <a href="<?php echo $large_image_url[0] ?>" rel="prettyPhoto[slides]">
   <?php the_post_thumbnail('large'); ?>
<?php } ?>

don’t forget to add the other line of code to your functions.php file found at the beginning of this conversation thread.

Thanks for the help on this. I will keep sharing cool hacks or adaptations as I think that is part of what makes Wordpress such a powerful tool; the community.

You’re very much welcome.

I totally agree that the community makes WordPress such and awesome tool to work with.

Oh, and thank you for making the custom code work properly. :)
