In this version (v3) Escape theme has been redesigned with Elementor plugin. If you want to upgrade to this version, you should do a fresh install.

I wanted to update my theme on my website https://captive-escapegame.com/.
First, I updated all the extensions, then I updated the theme from version 1.1 to 3.0.
I installed and activated ThemeCube Core in version 3.0. I also deactivated version 1.1.
Unfortunately, the update created a blank page in visitor view. Not on the dashboard.
How can I make the update work please?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible. You can’t get the updates without license key. Also themes use Envato Market plugin for auto updates. Have you tried contacting Envato support? https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us

Thank you for your purchase. You can translate the Themecube Core plugin. If you want to change it manually, please follow these steps.
1- Open tc_shortcode.php. ( wp-content/plugins/themecube-core) via text editor or plugin editor.
2- Perform a search for BOOK NOW and change it as you wish.

I have an installation of this theme in its version 1.1 and I’ve seen there is a recent update (v2.4). However, when I upload the new version, Wordpress doesn’t detect it as an update but as a new theme. And if I select the new theme, I lose all my custom settings. Is there any way to force use the files to update instead of setting it as a new theme? Thank you.
Please test it on localhost before upload to live site. v2 is a major update and maybe requires a fresh installation.
We don’t mind making a fresh installation, but is there any way to copy all customization settings from one theme to another?
You can export the theme options and import to new one. You can also export the widgets via widget importer exporter plugin.

You can edit the style.css. Please perform a search for “single room” You’ll see the all styling below this header. If you want to change the layout, you can edit the content-room.php ( escape/template-parts/) for that.
