Hey guys – my client’s customers are saying they’re all getting the error “This is a modern site which require a more recent browser to work properly. Please upgrade now!” so I went to browserstack.com to check… I’m getting this error even if I specify Windows 8 and the LATEST version of Chrome??!!
I know it didn’t do this prior to the last time I updated the version…. PLEASE ADVISE. Very urgent!!!

Well, it’s not doing it now, but believe me, it was for every platform & browser I tested. Perhaps a problem with the host, but I don’t see how it would show the ‘browser update’ page if (HostGator) was having issues… Looking forward to the 3.9 update today Thanks!

Those are just content from the demos, if you have your site customized already don’t import anything.

I keep getting messages from Envato saying that there is an update. However, every time I check, there is nothing in the change log. Is this a waste of time or are these update emails real? There has supposedly been at least 3-4 updates this month based on their emails. Can you explain?
We’ve made some subversions along the way that corrected some bugs yes, we didn’t update the changelog for simple lack of time.

Same Error aswell after update:
After replacing google_fonts.php with the previous version’s file, the theme works partly, no portfolio displayed in firefox and in the backend no portfolio items are displayed in the Portfolio Section.
Replacing cleared the error, but still i have the same issue as “jamesandlianne” one comment below this. For now i changed everthing back to the previous version, but there i cant add any content either.
That’s really strange. Can you create a ticket in our support system and provide us some wp credentials so we can take a look. Try clearing your cache first and check if the error persists.
I just purchased this theme and it can’t be uploaded because

Well you must be choosing the whole package from TF, have you selected the essenza.zip within it?

I’m struggling to do anything in the backend. Lots of options just don’t appear to have any function. I have the following errors in the backend.

Those are just warnings, neverthless can you try can you try to replace the file at essenza/plusquare_admin/config-common/php/google_fonts.php for this one: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8438578/google_fonts.zip.
Setting up your google app id in the template customizer should also solve the warnings.
Replacing the google_fonts.zip cleared the warnings. But I’m still struggling to add any content.
Just for example, clicking ‘Add Images’ in the Add New Work section of Portfolio, nothing happens. And this is the case for everything. I can’t add any work on anything: the slider, gallery, even a post or page.
Also, I’m assuming that ‘Post Type’ and ‘Post Options’ there are supposed to be options/elements within each tab – but I get nothing.
Please can you help?
Going through the help file in the documentation I can see that what I have definitely doesn’t look like what I’m supposed to. There is no Visual Page Builder in my backend of WP, nor are there any options visible in the Sliders section.
Are you testing that in your local machine, or do you have it in a server?

I love your theme, but i need to show 20 rectangles on home page, each one linking to a different blog, is this possible ? Can i parameter your theme in order to display 4 row of 5 rectangular pictures ?

No matter the appearence of the grid (i would have to adapt it anyway – like adding a text on each picture, even no hovering over), but what i want is to be able to display about 20 rectangles on the desktop screen without scrolling. So a smaller thumbnail image.
The second question is, can i redirect user at thumbnail click towards a custom URL ?

Yes you can define any url in each grid item. As to the other thing, you can’t ever be sure it will display the 20 rectangles without having to scroll, as it is a responsive grid. For the gallery type grid you can define a max width for each item in the grid, but in the portfolio you can’t and the script calculates the best size for it
Ok thanks, so the next question is easy, if i can parameterize the max size of item, i can more or less control the number of items on my page without scrolling, so can i use a gallery as my home page then ?

I just installed Essenza again. And cannot make even 1st movement – to set my logo. The button just don’t work. I don’t want to keep checking what else doesn’t work for this time.
Guys when you check everything? I cannot start my project because of all these problems. I really love your theme but I am loosing my faith that Essenza will work.
No other theme from here has such problems in use.
We do test everything, the problem is that some issues only occur on different setups or when the theme is installed from scratch. Can you create a ticket in our support system, provide us with wp admin credentials and ftp ones so we can correct the issues immediately. Let me know the ticket id when you create.

New update seems work. But the main page with slider in Corporate Demo is still damn SLOW loading. And don’t search for something from my side – everything with other themes goes well.

Sorry for the delay on the support our support guy had some problems and couldn’t work for some days, and I was away also. We’re responding in normal time now.

2- It was actually 23,829 if you take the envato comission, and you have to divide by two as it was a two man job, 11914, and divide by months spent working on it, 992.
If you’re a developer you should know we can easily make mistakes on a release for such a big project as essenza. We’d still be glad to help you and turn you into one of our hundreds of happy customers, because the theme does work properly.

2 – It doesn’t matter actually. And I don’t have a habit to count somebody’s money unlike you. The point is that nobody gave you the right to say “you’re buying a template that took a year to develop for 45$ and still complaining,,,”. It sounds like “you better shut up and be happy with what I gave”. And it seems you don’t understand it.
Other authors have projects much bigger that yours, read comments to their items – nobody have so much problems.
I made another “ticket” with accesses to my site #202774. If Essenza wiil not work correctly let’s just forget about it. $45 is a nice price to learn on one mistake.

new update new problems… just updated my staging site to Wordpress 3.9 and installed your update from this morning. Seems like Essenza isn’t reading the settings from the settings menu correctly. Everything is off. I updated Ticket #189280 with more details.

Hey MichiMeko, wish I could reply to your comment directly but can’t. Do you have jetpack installed by any chance? That plugin used to cause this smiley face for me. But I thought this was fixed with an Essenza update. Disable the jetpack plugin and see if that fixes things.
