- can you tell me if I can have the mansonry blog with grid with 3 columns and a sidebar?
- And, may I change the bckground colors of the icons for another color?
- my I set the slider to be on the head like a full width responsive banner using the masonry blog with grid style?
- the full install of the template doesn’t even work on IE 8 ?
- the size of the thumbs on grid is fixed? May I have some posts with the double of the size for example? Or with thumbs on a portrait orientation?

The masonry blog uses the categories and tags from the regular wordpress blog yes. To add a masonry blog you create a new page and select the categories you want to include in that blog type page.

Support over at ticksy is a bit behind. Don’t recomment there or you’re pushed to the end of the line. As to your questions:
1- You can’t add the slider in a masonry grid like the portfolio or gallery page, only on a default page type
2- Music Player doesn’t support playlists
Hi there, please, I have tested the demo, and then I made another installation to build my real blog. But I have imported the demo and options to the new instalation, I have ajusted the database with the data of my old database.
The data is ok. The admin is ok. But nothing concerned with Essenza works. The website is very slow to load, the WP-Admin Essenza Customizer doesn’t work everytime, I cant set options that contains check box, like page templates, most of the time the site doesn’t load the menu. Seems my browser has broken, or scripts are not working but I dont know what is the problem.
Please help me, the support don’t work for me this way putting the ticket behind. But I REALLY have to put my website to run.
I am loosing humor and time trying to do this template works.
I am developer but it has been so difficult I am almost giving up.

Hi, The problem is that your server like some servers out there have transfer encoding set to chunked which is terribly inneficient. If you disable that and enable gzip compression you should get performance like our demos without using any cache plugin. I’ll get to your ticket in a minute.
Hi there, how as I said an GZIP is activated “tickets” ago! My old site takes less than 3 seconds to load and it has a lot of images and sliders. I can’t wait 1 MINUTE to load my home page any time I change or add something in my HOME page! I am sorry!

Updating essenza, will solve most of the performance issues, if you made changes to the files themselves it might be tricky to solve dependencies, but you won’t lose your posts and images data

We have a lot of problems I am not sure if it will be correct.
The slider is not loading correctly. Today it taked 30 seconds to load. The navigation of my site is very boring because of that.
More, we cant have yet more sliders per page because the site crashs and I will have to use another plugin for that, to display the sponsors. The slider editor has a lot of problems.
The menu is not working like computers on 13”, 14” or 15” screen, we need to have just 4 columns to work like that.
And another problems I have described on ticksy.
When are you correcting that?
Because I coudnt announce my site yet and go ahead, I lost 30% of visits because it does not woks on IE9 like the specs are telling us besides here.

I cant access the download area because the money was refunded how I told you. But I spent it with another template that does not work at all with problems too, the reason I backed to essenza.

If I need to buy again to get the new version, I have to wait 10 or 20 days yet. I cant buy anything now or next days.
Maybe the problems are not with the themes here, most of the support you’ve asked to me is to make custom work, which I gladly helped to. Themes for sale here have some limitations that you need to check before buying and not expecting the author to add functionalities by request.
Of course there are problems, but we do have a really stable version currently, very low problems reported recently. If you want to use and get extra support here yes you’ll have to buy our product, seems like we’ve been working for free here

I said we use git to track changes, but that might not apply in your case. The best for you is to download the latest version and make the changes you’ve made to the files there again.
I will try to find some software to diff the files. I have downloaded the latest version like I said. But I dont remember the files I have changed. And I REALLY REALLY cant loose the changes, my site is running and it has a lot of users diary. All the project is delayed, so I dont have this time and humor too.
More I can’t diff all the files one by one, I need to know what files you have changed in the last version. We could know that?

I have updated the theme yesterday, but the site performance is the same, not so good. It did not change anything like was told me.
- The slider loading continues bad and taking almost 10 seconds to load everytime during the navigation. It is making the navigation of my site very boring.
- The site is not being loaded on IE 9. I think the problem is with masonry blog. The simple pages load on IE 9.
Can you see with Bruno please? Because he was checking my case.

We ask only a bit more of patience and we’re really sorry you’re having troubles. We do wan’t to make the perfect product, and we’re switching to fulltime on envato just for that.
I downloaded the most recent update for the Essenza theme (April 23rd, 2014). I’m having font and layout issues with the “Item Description” fonts in the Portfolio section when the page loads up (the fonts don’t look right, as they do in the Essenza demo: http://essenza.plusquare.pt/creative/portfolio/wine-in-black/). I haven’t done any modifications to the fonts at all nor touched the css. Also, when the site loads items from the Portfolio page, the vertical scroll bar within the “Item Description” box is also missing. Any ideas of what’s up?

ok nice,i`m able to log in again. all my settings in the essenza theme tab are still there but the site looks different (just like the white creative demo). changes on color, font and settings like site border, footer, header size etc. take no effect.
Try the following, set the essenza/css/main.css file permissions to 777
Then go to the template customizer and press save

We didn’t go throught that one yet, that’s actually something facebook’s script should take care of as the position of that window is not positioned by our scripts but facebook’s one, but we have it on the list, just not that much of priority right now I’m afraid.

Is there a way to configure the portfolio video item to auto play video and skip the three step process of click to load the placeholder image, then click the place holder image to show the youtube video, then click to play the video? Would this then eliminate the two step process of getting back to the portfolio grid (closing out the video, then the place holder image)?
I love both the portfolio and the gallery for their grid layout options. I prefer the hover on the portfolio thumbs because you can display text on hover…the gallery is good because it displays lightbox and is less of a process to play the video, however you don’t get a text description on hover.
I know you guys have put a lot of sweat into this theme as I have been following the comments for the last week. Us web design guys appreciate your hard work.

Well answering to your questions, I do agree we should add the option for the portfolio grid items to open in the lightbox, it’s actually something that shouldn’t be that difficult and would look great. Added it in the list for next version
You have some extra option for now, that is setting an external link in the portfolio items to a fullscreen slider page with the video background set to autoplay. When creating a slider you can also define a close button link, you could link to the portfolio. The only catch there is that you loose the portfolio work description that shows up in the normal single work page

Hmm… I can’t seem to get the video to play, It just sits on the loader graphic.
Can you send me the link to it? You still need to define a cover image for it to work properly.
I’m wondering if there is a setting in YouTube that is keeping it from auto playing? Also, when I exit from the video, it goes to the thumb image instead of back to the portfolio page.

Seems like the css isn’t being properly uploaded, I’ve put a fix in line for review. But after you import (after the window refresh), if you save the template customizer the css will be parsed, give it a try.

Yes 2.3.2 now. It opens the text field full screen now by clicking on “Open Rich Editor”. When toggling on the full screen button it just closes/opens again. I would like to have the tinymce toolbar panel visible to the small window when editing too.
Hi, we’ve removed ckeditor to use wordpress default one, tinymce, altough it has the problem of being a pain to add dynamically, since the options are loaded with ajax there, we had to do it that way.

The problem romu22 mentions above (the TOTALLY useless “Rich Editor”) persists – no change.Lawrence hasn’t been able to get back to me on my post, which I made a few days ago… (I understand you guys are doing a lot under immense pressure) but so much hinges on this template running right for your many customers. Hi, loading problem has been solved. Also the rich editor is working fine, clicking on the fullscreen button will close it and save the work done. We’ve added a text explaining that as label in the new update
I installed WP Super Cache plugin and my site works faster. But there is another problem – the Regular blog (Creative Demo) and the Overview blog (Corporate Demo) don’t work. Other blog styles are ok.

Wanted to point out a bug I discovered.
When setting the ‘Portfolio On Hover Description Placement’ to “Above” Internet Explorer glitches when hovering over the grid item text description, outside of text around edges of grid box doesn’t glitch. When set to “On the side”, hover works fine. Tested with IE 10.

Sorry but you can’t be saying things that are simply not the truth here. If you sent us a print of what’re you’re saying and maybe give us some steps to try to recreate it so we could actually confirm that it is an issue we would be glad to admit and correct the issue, now don’t tell me that the theme doesn’t work anywhere because that isn’t the case and that’s absolutely a ridiculous thing to say. I just purchased the new version and it’s working fine in general… but the web is runnig really really slow, and the images i posted on the portfolio and gallery don’t work. I imported dummy content first and then began to delete images and pages http://melwaidler.com/
Other question, how can I change the home page? I want to have a fullscreen slider there, but I don’t find the place to change that.
Well your server has the transfer encoding set to chunked which is not very good for this type of site, also ask your web provider to enable gzip compression, and it will speed it up a lot.
As to the home page you can change that on the template customizer -> General Settings -> Navigation

Try contacting your web provider support to do it for you, they might refuse if you have a shared hosting package though.

I’m so miserable because of this problem.
1. I’m currently testing the latest in a file. (25 April 14 Version)
2. ‘Creative Demo – Import Demo’ at the click of a button ‘Running sql -> Uploading Media’, the screen freezes. (Wait, no matter how the gauge will not go up any more.)
3. ‘Media library’ files are ‘X’ as shown.
4. I think the demo file seems to have a problem with the connection part.

Hi, Essenza doesn’t have support for ecommerce so if you want to integrate it yourself you’ll need to make some changes to it. Wouldn’t adviced if you don’t have some experience with wordpress and web development
