Hi everybody, I have 3 questions:
I would like to be sure that if I buy this template it will work fine with the last Wordpress (5.2.2) or if not, what are the elements that won’t work.
When I buy it, it will come with the option to install it with fake contents that I can replace or I will have to recreate it from zero?
Is there a similar, newer, template you recommend me to chose instead of EstateMag?
Many many thanks Irene
Hi.
Thanks for your question.
- Yes, theme is working with WordPress 5.2.2
- I will prepare demo content for you, and if you want I can import all content (I will need access to WP admin from you)
- Sorry, but latest themes have other types of layouts and content.
Kind Regards,
Andrew.
Hi, Thank you so much for your reply! Sorry I took time to think about it but yes, then I will buy this template! Can you really prepare some demo content? I am not familiar with creating content starting with a new empty template, so it would be great! Thank you so much!
Kind regards, Irene
Hi.
Yes, I will do export from the demo site and import to your site.
Kind Regards, Andrew.
Hi Andrew, We had to install the Wordpress 5.1.1 (PHP 5.4) since the following WP version does not work on our server, is it a problem? Can I ask your email to create you a specific USER for the website? Kind regards, Irene

Are po/mo files included in the theme or is translation only possible with WPML (which should be purchased)
Hi,
Yes, po/mo files included, only need translate to your language.
You can translate this theme in any way. For example via Poedit software or “Codestyling Localization” free plugin (recommend). And of course, you can use WPML if needed.
Let me know if you have any other questions or need further clarification.

3 Questions.
1) Can the color scheme be changed? ... specifically in the header area, background, and highlighted areas throughout the theme (like widget titles & show older posts button) that typically match the header bar color?
2) Would there be any reason you could think of that this theme (or iRule) would not work with an idx plugin that frames 3rd party content onto dynamically generated pages?
3) This theme has similarities to iRule… does iRule allow for the inbuilt sidebar & slider under the Nav menu like this theme?
I’ve narrowed my choices down to these 2, just want to make sure I get the best one for my purposes. Thx!
Hi,
1. Yes, it can be changed.
2. I can’t see a reason why they wouldn’t be compatible.
3. Only slide under the Nav menu.
Let me know if you have any other questions or need further clarification.
Hi, thanks for the quick response. I do have one final question… with the slider & news ticker, are those static with the posts or is there any ability to control what shows up in those areas? Specifically with the slider, is there any ability to create posts (or widget embeds) individually that aren’t part of a post already on the site? ...like embedding a social media post or creating an ad that only displays in this slider? Thanks!
Hi,
1. You can choose a post categories for the slider & news ticker.
2. The inbuilt slider widget can display only posts. But you can use any other third-party widget\plugin to display any other info.
Great theme! I’m using it with excellent results. However, I can’t seem to get the author page to work. When I click on the author name, I get a 404. Also, it seems edits to the child style.css do not get reflected in the theme?
Hi,
Thanks
Can you show me this on your site?
Sure. Go to http://aiyaweb.com/author/ZhengZiLi/ or start at http://aiyaweb.com/ and click on the author link on one of the posts
Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
Hi Zerge. I found the answer and it works. http://helgeklein.com/blog/2010/11/wordpress-author-page-not-found-error-404-if-space-in-url/ Had to change the spaces in MySQL
Ok
However, I also found that the child theme is not calling option.css from the right location. It’s referring to it from the child theme, but the options are being stored in the parent theme
It’s not a bug. It works as should. By default, for the child theme, the css file located in /wp-estatemag-child/css directory.
Also, be sure that your theme files and directories are writable (especially /wp-estatemag-child/css)
However, this location can be changed if needed.
I reckon.. could be good visually to set it the same as “Post Title Font” in ‘Post Page Settings’ .. consistent look and feel of the site.
I think we will add this option in the next update.
I really like this theme… all new themes are tweaked, and I am glad that you value the consistent look and feel of a theme. You may also want to have a setting for default font and sizes of post body text and page body text.
Yep, agree with you.
how do I make the ‘category archive’ page title smaller?
Hi,
Add to the style.css:
.archive-header h1 { font-size: 24px; }
