Keep in mind that this theme does not allow you to change from their default blue/red theme to your custom. For that, you will have to do deep dive into CSS.

Hello,
The First Main color, which you can set in Mikado Options > General, won't affect every element. Some elements (like header, footer, fonts, buttons, etc.) have their individual color settings for customizability reasons.
We do believe that the theme is well documented, and we do understand that it might be confusing at first but you can find our themes documentation here as well as many great articles, and video tutorials that might help you on the way developing your website.
You should know that you can always turn to our support team and you are more than welcome to submit a request at our Help Center and our support team will be happy to help. To submit a ticket please follow instructions from this article - How To Submit A Ticket.

Support was really good for me. Quick and clear.
Mikado answers to your ticket after a week, everytime there's a new person answering and the answer is often very shallow and doesn't solve a problem. Seems like they read your ticket superficially and sometimes it takes a month to solve a simple issue. I understand this is a great business model to earn money on resuming expired support. Thank you, Mikado and Goodbye. To those who consider purchasing Mikado - don't bother - it will cost you frustration as their themes never work out of box. There's always something wrong and you'll become depended on their support, which will take over you wallet really fast.

Sorry to hear about such a bad experience.
We can assure you our support staff is doing their best to help all users out and meet all their needs. From the inspection of your tickets, we can see that vast majority are marked as solved, therefore are closed - https://bit.ly/2UGRD0G
Also, due to some major theme updates, we're experiencing increased traffic on support desk, so perhaps that's why average waiting time grew a bit, but have in mind that we'll get back to all users and leave no tickets ignored.
Additionally, we don't force anyone to extend it's support period, least experienced users do that sometimes when they need quicker help or when their deadlines don't allow investigating extent theme options and looking into them more. Support renewal is Envato's feature and we have nothing to do with it, therefore we're not in a position to advise extending support period, as it's user's own choice.
If there're any unresolved issues regarding Evently theme, we would like to invite you to submit new ticket, including all questions and doubts, so our support staff can help you efficiently and in a more concrete way.

Really happy with the quality of the theme and the flexibility. It may need an instruction manual for its features and editing them, but all in all, really good theme and great support/customer service. Thank you!
The Timetable functionality is not satisfactory. Mikado has added some undocumented shortcodes, and the demo timetable cannot be produced from the import. Their support says to check the Timetable Responsive Schedule plugin documentation which documents how the plugin would work if you bought it, not the version that Mikado has included. So now to get this functionality, I’ll have to purchase that plugin when I was promised it was included.

Timetable plugin came bundled within our theme. Yesterday, we released new update of our theme where we included latest version of this plugin, so there is no need for extra purchases.

Not the happiest with this theme. I have worked with several other themes and never dealt with so many issues than I have with this one. I may update my review if I get my issue resolved.

Great quality. Good job. Theme is impressive even if it takes some time to understand how everything is configured. Really like it. Support is reactive and very helpful.

The more themes I buy from Mikado, the more I adore them. Their themes are of outstanding quality, and their service too. Moreover, they really make beautiful and unique designs. For me, Mikado belongs to the top-3 authors of Envato. Cheers Mikado!
