I love the theme. Everything about it works well, except that it would be even better if we could reorder the listing of speakers and presentations. I want to be able to decide the exact order the speakers should be listed in. It is not an option to know in advance the order of the presentations and the order of the speakers. And if you add a new presentation or speaker that should appear in say the middle of the list, the idea that you have to basically start over to add them in the correct order of appearance seems like a poor solution.
It would seem straight forward to put in an order field in the speakers and presentations so that we could reorder the list at anytime.
If we had that feature, I would be able to use this theme in a number of web sites. As it is, this limitation is a real deal breaker.
Is there any way to change the sort order?
In looking through the code, I see the complexity with trying to add the sort order. One suggestion is that if you could take an array of values in the shortcut, that would seem to me to allow the posts to appear in the desired order. This is really important in an event that might have key note speakers and panelists where you need to have the keynote speakers first and the panelists second in the order they would appear. Perhaps ideally we could show speakers/presentations grouped by category and in the order they should appear driven by an array of post numbers.

So for example if you are listing the speakers for ‘presentation X’ using the shortcode, then you can go to edit page on presentation X and reorder attached speakers to that presentation – save the post and the Speakers will show up the new order
Thanks! By adding the speakers to the presentation in the correct order I was able to achieve 75% of what I wanted. For me the drag and drop didn’t work, but I simply deleted the presentations from the conference listing and then re-added them in the correct order, and then did the same for the speakers and everything now appears in the correct order! Great. It still would be awesome to be able to have classes of presentations and speakers. For instance to be able to differentiate between keynote speeches and panel discussions, or between keynote speakers and panelists or workshop leaders.

I was looking to purchase the PressEvent management. What is the difference between the PressEvent Management and this the Event management?
1.Does this theme do multi-events?
2.Is there a way to install the demo and just recreate it that way easily?
3.Utilizing the paypal or etc is there a way to give access to a protected page after the payment? ie: until a client pays via paypal they won’t have access to a page that has the ticket to print out or info or etc

1. Both themes support multiple events. They have a special custom post for that.
2. You can create the demo website, for both themes. For PressEvent you can set also the demo option.
3. This is not available by default, should be implemented by you.

I am really confused… I just installed the theme but everything, conferences, presentations, speakers… everything gives me 404 error code. I created a coference via add new, added description, title, speakres, all the fields and published it BUT when I try to click on it on homepage, it gives me 404 not found code :(((

Really unimpressed with this theme. While it has the functionality required for events – the ability to customise the look and feel is VERY poor in comparison to most other Wordpress themes that I typically use. To change the colour of the icons – this has to be done manually in Photoshop. Cant even change the colour of the titles/headings easily.
If you do not have an advanced knowledge of html/CSS and you want to really customise your theme – this one is not for you!

Depending of your settings, I think over 1200px in width will be fine. You can check on different screens (this is for boxed layout. If used in full width, you’ll have to insert images as big as possible). Cheers!

In the description, you speak about full compatibility with qTranslate.. This is mean that the entire theme is fully translatable? I need to build my website in 3 languages (with a choose box). Can you confirm me that’s possible ?
Or is this working with WMPL ?
we do have some clients using qTranslate. There were some bugs, fixed, and they finished translating their sites successfully. That is the change log, not the description. All our themes are using translatable arrays. We did not tested WPML. Cheers!

there is no option for that – you’ll have to add the font manually via CSS, sorry.
