I wanna know if it’s possible to people send events to the site.
There isn’t a built-in feature for this, but you could use the contact form to request content like that from users.

I have been using your theme for over a year now and I must say it is incredible!
One thing I always find my self wishing it had was front end user submitted events with start and end times.
Is this something you might consider adding in the near future ?
Manually adding events becomes a tiresome process after a while.
I for one would rebuy the theme just for that functionality!
I have seen it in real estate themes maybe it could be implemented here too?

A setting for events that last multiple days would be cool. For week long events and reacquiring events.

I just thought of another idea. How about a scroll over preview of the event. Like on the themeforest homepage when you scroll over the the date it would give you a thumbnail image and basic time and info.
Also having banner ad options in the side bar for sponsors would be super helpful to me instead of having to put theme at the bottom of posts. Just small box ones or skyscrapers.

A event views counter on each event so promoters and fans can see how much interest an event is getting would be cool. Maybe a trending page as well based on views.

Option to become a subscriber and receive notifications when a new events gets posted. Also the ability to unsubscribe if they want to at the bottom of every email.
Maybe an option to turn “The End” on the calendar to “Submit Event”
The submission form looks great! Would it be possible to also have a flyer or image upload option as well?
Also would it be possible to have the option to move the advertisement widget from the “more” tab to the bottom of “details” ?

I own a student travel company (www.exptrips.com) and would like more functionality out of my site, and the ability to handle registration and trip management through the site (right now it’s all done manually and off-line).
Do you think the theme will work well coupled with the Event Espresso plugin? I’m hoping to use your theme for the front end and then allow users to register and interact with each event on a deeper level through Event Espresso (also to allow us to interact on a deeper level with them).
Hoping that’ll be a simple one-two punch. Thoughts?

I imagine Event Espresso is a self-contained plugin that wouldn’t interact with the unique features of this theme.
I haven’t tried the Event Espresso plugin, so I can’t say for sure, but this theme is meant to function on its own without the use of event plugins.
This site looks just like what I’m looking for. It looks like it has a ton of great features to organize our community calendar. I do have a couple of questions before I present it to my board.
- Does it handle recurring events without having to input each month’s event?
- Is the submit event form easily customizable by us (i.e to add or subtract fields)? I would like to have a place on the form where the organizer can include a link to the image they want uploaded with the event and some aren’t relevant.

1. There’s a plugin that a lot of Eventure users say works really well. It’s called ‘Duplicate Post’: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/duplicate-post/
2. You can add a message above the form saying to copy/past image URLs into the details section. Since each field on the event submission form interacts with the functions template file as well as the front-end of the site, adding additional fields isn’t an easy edit.

Hi is there a way to turn off the automatic removal and hiding of events?
Not having them on the front page seems to have dropped me from page one on google to page 4
Maybe you could release an update with an off switch for the auto archival and hiding from the front page.

Often times even though a single event takes place over the course of a couple days, there are unique aspects about each day of the event that deserve special attention. Having multiple posts for the same event, but for different days, allows you to call out unique aspects about that day’s events (i.e. speakers, locations, etc).

I mean.. in your demo, in front page, you have the calendar.
Each day in the calendar have ONLY a single event, and the event title is written in the calendar.
What happens if I have 3 or more events in the same days?
The “cell” showing the date will show ALL the events in that single days, or… what?

The theme is translation ready, meaning it’s ready to be translated by the user either manually or via a third-party plugin.
I am interested also in the combination of Eventure to display the events with Event Espresso plugin to manage them as recommended by Smashing magazine (http://wp.smashingmagazine.com/2012/04/05/manage-events-like-pro-with-wordpress).
I have an events site with loads of events run and uploaded by different venues, venues which celebrate and sell tickets for regular events, one time events, seminars, workshops, gatherings, festivals… madness… believe me I know every plug in and template for events and the combination of your awesome looking template with the functionalities of Event Espresso is a dream for me.
Please, could you have a look if this could work well for a platform like mine? (loads of events, multiple venues i.e. site users who sell their events online).
As you know your template upside down, please could you have a quick look at Event espresso to check if it would work well with your template?
I would really appreciate it, as I am not a programmer I find it difficult.
Eventure is really intended to work on its own without plugins. I’m not sure if Event Espresso uses posts or not, but Eventure requires that posts be used for events in order to display in the calendar.

Hi, and first of all congratulations for this beautiful theme. Just two questions I need to know before buying it:
- are data of places where events take place saved? So to avoid introduce adresses each time an event takes place in the same venue.
- I can’t see a search box in the Live Preview but suppose it’s possible to have it, is it?

Venues are saved in your database, but won’t display in a drop down to choose from or anything like that. If you’re using the same machine/browser to enter events, then you might be able to save data that way (i.e. the browser remembers and gives you options when you click the input field).
Regarding search, yes, you can use the WordPress search widget.

I am considering buying your Eventure theme. Can you give me some more information about how expired events are handled. Once the date of the Event is past, can they still be listed on a Category page as a normal blog post – or will that event then still show up on the main Calendar?
Expired posts are automatically taken off the main calendar, but will still display on archive/category pages with an “Expired” notice in the post details section.

Now that I am starting my site, I have a question, I translated the site with the plugin Loco Translate but the translations are not replacing the original English version of the site. I went on the server to check that the files where uploaded: www/wp-content/themes/eventure/languages, and they are. I dont understand why the site does not recognize the translation. Could you please help me with this?

Ok I fixed the problem. Donno why but I had to deactivate the Loco Translate plugin after translating the words so they could be translated in the front office. Still have some problem with a few words that were not in the .pot file. Hope this can be resolved in the next versions. Cheers

Is it possible to customize the event submission?
I have to build a film festival portal and I need other 2 date fields: when the film submission starts and ends. And other fields … the director of the festival, the awards
Each item on the submission form interacts with a specific input field on the post edit screen. As a result, adding fields requires a bit more work to the functions file and theme templates in order to display that additional content.

This theme is amazing! If your thinking about buying it. It is worth every penny! I am always getting comments on how well my site looks and how easy and intuitive it is to navigate.
On a side note the events submission form works perfectly. I have had a couple promoters ask me how they can upload images to events into the description field such as concert banners and promo posters.
Are there any plans to implement this in the future? Along with maybe a switch to turn off auto removal of expired events for seo purposes. I appreciate the work around you sent me a while back just an idea

Google font options are built into the theme, but you can use a plugin if you like.
Theme options allow you to control the link/accent color via a color picker. Beyond that, color adjustments can be made via the Custom CSS panel in the theme options.

Is there a way to add more widget space under details?
So that you do not have to click on tabs. This would be really convenient for my viewers that are having a hard time finding my widgets in the tabs.
It would be better just to have them out in the open under details.
