Hi, I am new to the WP theme world. I used a framework last year and it was tough. Anyways, I really like this theme and it would be perfect for my client.

Questions, can I make the header area deeper to accommodate a larger logo? I know this be something he wants.

I also noticed there are some screen/texture overlays the images in the larger slideshows. I assume those can be turn off?

Is there a user sign up function built-in to this theme? if not, is there a plug-in that will work with this?

Thank you for the hard work.

I’m glad you like the theme :)

Here are my answers:
- Yes, there is an option to set custom logo size, so if you insert a higher logo, the header will get higher to allocate the bigger logo.
- Yes, they can be turned off
- By default WordPress provides this functionality in the back-end admin panel. However if you are asking about a front-end widget, there are some plugins that provide this functionality – I just did a quick search and found the Registration Widget plugin, which should accomplish this.

Oh, one more thing, Can I have the Recent posts (with photo and text) in 3 columns under the main text on a full width page? thx

I’m not sure whether I understand correctly about the place you would like to insert the recent posts, but generally there isn’t a three-column recent posts template included. However, you may look for a plugin that would add this functionality for you. Also, you may check the WordPress “Recent posts” widget which displays the latest posts in the sidebar.

Hello Pexeto team,

now i am using your photolux theme. It is awesome! But i have noticed the expression theme. I will switch to this – it looks so nice with all the effects.

My question is: it is possible to set up password protected galleries on a special side (e.g. for customer to download photos)?

Thanks for your answer! Best regards, Sascha

Hi Sascha,

First of all – thanks, I’m glad you like our themes :)

You can make a password protected quick gallery – you can see an example here (use “pexeto” as password) – it can be in a sidebar layout or full-width, without a sidebar. So, if for example you also want to use the Grid Gallery, you can make the portfolio item link to its single page where you can insert a quick gallery and make it password protected.

I have an idea respective the password protection. But i have another question:

What is the best picture size for fast load and excellent quality at every screen?

Thanks, Sascha :-)

I would recommend around 1000 pixels in either width or height or a little bigger. For faster loading I also recommend optimizing images for the web – for example with PhotoShop or there are lots of different softwares for this, which can decrease a few hundred kilobytes from the image size.

I love your theme!

Is it poosible to link the photos from front page to a classic page with written text, and a gallery on top like this one:

Thanx a lot, and keep up the good work!

Thank you, I’m glad you like the theme :)

You can set a custom link to each item – so you can link it to any page you like. I didn’t understand which page exactly you were asking about, as you provided a link to the front page (if you remove the ThemeForest frame on top, you can get the real page URL ), but generally if it is a page you see on the demo – you will be able to accomplish this.

Thanks for the answer. I meant but as I understand you, this shouldn´t be a problem?

Yes, you can accomplish this with the theme :)

Hi there!

Before I purchase, I was wondering if it is possible to password protect specific galleries to keep them private for clients.

You can make a password protected quick gallery – you can see an example here (use “pexeto” as password) – it can be in a sidebar layout or full-width, without a sidebar. It can exist in a separate page or you can make an item from the main Gallery page open a password protected gallery.

I am really impressed by what I have found here. It has so many of the things I have been looking for in a site. One thing, I may have just missed it, but does it work with plugins. If I wanted to add something for selling garments I design and blog about, would that be possible?

Generally the theme is built according to the best plugin compatibility practices, so everything should be working fine with the plugins you want to use. Only if you want to insert some complex functionality into the slider of the gallery, you have to make sure that the plugin you use is designed for dynamic content loading (as the slider is loaded dynamically, it is not a static page).

I just opened the CSS and might I say – WOW … Comments!!! I am a programmer of almost 15 years and to see self documenting code like this is real nice, I see that I have bought the right product. I have to say, I made the mistake of buying Cesar earlier and their code sucked – zero documentation so it was dive in and get your hands wet. I ended up ditching their theme because they simply were not willing to support their custom UI that made use of categories that was screwing up my look and feel and simply not allowing anyone to contact me.

So far, from what I have read you guys seem very responsive about supporting your theme and keeping it up-to-date so grats to that. Seeing the comments just helps me realize that I made the right choice.

Hi Brian,

Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m very happy to know that our efforts to keep the code well organized are valued as well :) I hope you will enjoy working with the theme!

A huge difference. Already withing less than 30 minutes I have my theme back the way I had it am making changes to the layout. Life is easy when you have coders that care about their code and their customers! ;)

Cheers! Brian Krecik

Thank you so much for your kind words, it’s much appreciated! :)

I´ve checked out the theme on iPhone as well, I must say, I´ve been working with WP for 5 years now, have never seen a better mobile solution!!

I wonder, my site is gonna be in Norwegian, can I change the “posted by” to my language?

When it says “Next Project” when you slide the pictures in a gallery, can it say like the actual name of the project instead of “Next Project?

I really think I´ll give you guys a go, you seem very responsive in your customer care as well!!!

Thank you for your kind words, I’m glad you like the way the responsive design is coded :)

Regarding the “posted by” text – yes, you can very easily change it – we have included a “Translation” section where you can change all the words used in the theme into your language. Regarding the “Next Project” – by default there is an option to change this text to another text, but at this point there isn’t an option to change it to the name of the next project – in most cases the titles of the items are too long to fit into a small bubble and this is why we have designed it in the way it is now.

Hi nice theme, ... it is possible to have a multi language site? ..How Do You do that?

The theme is designed to work with multiple languages – we have implemented a functionality to enable different translations of the built into theme words. As you may know, you will also have to install a multilingual plugin in order to enable translation for the content you create. Depending on the plugin you are going to choose, the plugin may also require some additional modifications to enable its translation work on the dynamically loaded content (such as the one on the main gallery) – some plugins are designed to work well with this kind of dynamic loading and others are not. For example, we have experience with our previous photography theme Photolux – where the WPML plugin was working well, while the qTranslate plugin required a few lines of modifications in the theme to support the dynamic content loading, the instructions for which we provide on our support site.

hey pexeto, as promised, this item has been purchased :)

Lovely! One question: how do I embedd a Nivo gallery within a post? I’ve done as per your documentation (insert image in the post, uploaded directly) but I don’t know which ID to give to the [contentslider] shortcode

Are you able to help me? Thanks, maybe this is not the best place for support requests…

For standard posts you just have to select “Gallery” in the “Post Format” section of the post (in the right sidebar of the edit post screen).

Your theme is the best use of WordPress for a photography website I have seen. I’m really looking forward to purchasing this very soon once I’ve gotten my site’s content together.

Thank you so much for your kind words – I’m glad you like the theme and I hope you will enjoy working with it! :)

I love this theme! I am having alittle trouble setting up galleries. I can’t seem to add more than 9 images to each gallery, is there a way to remove this limitation?

Thanks, I’m glad you like the theme :)

There isn’t any limitation about the number of images you can include – I have tested with more than 100 images and everything was working fine, so I guess it may be something related with your settings or installation. Hi. I just bought this theme and I can’t upload it to my account. Here is the error I got.

Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.

WHat do I do with that?

Thank you

I guess you might be trying to upload the whole zip file that you have downloaded and this is not correct, because this file contains not only the theme, but PhotoShop files, documentation, etc. You have to unzip the download zip file and there you should see the zipped theme and after that you can upload it from the Install Themes section of the admin panel.

For more information you can refer to the “Activating the theme” section of the documentation included or watch the installation videos here:

Very, very great!!!!

Thank you very much! :)

I bought this lovely theme and have been setting up my portfolio on however it seems to be taking forever to load the the images, whether in full width slider or lightbox mode. I’ve used low resolutions so I’m sure the size isn’t the problem. Anyway to overcome that? Please help.

P.S. Meanwhile you can check this article we have created for some tips.

I can only add to the praise of this theme being what i have been looking for for ages. It is exactly matching my expectations of how i want to present my photography projects to the world.

I specificially liked the theme looking beautiful on mobile devices as well.

There’s just one minor question: when using images in posts (e.g. on pages) the theme does not adjust the size of them when displaying the mobile version. This leads to heavilly distorted displays when using embedded images with the text (normally) flowing around as the image is to big for (e.g. smartphone-) displays. Any idea how I could solve that?

Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m glad you like the theme and that it provides what you need! :)

First off I wanna say I love this theme! I wanted to know can the videos be placed in the gallery as a page and not a pop up? I noticed in the mixed gallery the videos are lightbox pop up. Is it possible to have a video gallery look like this ?

Thank you, I’m glad you like the theme! :)

The link you posted above links to the front page of the gallery – if you would like to get the real URL of a page, you would have to remove the ThemeForest frame on the top. Anyway, generally apart of setting the video in lightbox, another option would be to embed the video in the content of the item and link the item to its single page – it will look like a standard static page and it can be in either sidebar or full-width (no-sidebar) layout.
