Does not work anymore!
Out of nowhere the theme stops working, after years without issues.
All the content of the pages has been removed.
Trying to use the one-click update feature resulted in our License-Key beeing rejected with "License keys do not match."

Lack of customizability. But, it's Ok.
The theme is pretty cool and runs well, I use it as my WordPress theme's knowledge base. The thing is that there are no updates at all to improve and add new features to it. Before buying it, the theme's latest update was in 2016 so it seems the author just released an update to change the "Last Update" date but nothing new was added.
Other than not being updated regularly everything else is cool but this is the main reason why I give it a 3 star rating.

Thank you for taking the time and leaving your review. The theme changelog can be found here: http://updates.nicethemes.com/themes/flatbase/changelog.txt - Since 2016 - We introduced a lot of changes in version 2.0 (2017) and then, we released a some different updates to stabilize minor things.
Fortunately, the theme is solid enough that it doesn't need hotfixes, and we see that as something good.
I understand the concern, but not updating regularly can be a good symptom sometimes. It means that the theme is stable, solid and almost bug-free. We're looking and analyzing new features constantly.

Very nice design, few things to configure and its easy to do. Nice work!
They responded to a question within 24 hours and provided custom code to achieve what I wanted.

I just tried the 1 button update and it failed. Then I got a server error 500. Now it's reverted back to the original WP theme and my content and site just disappeared. Hopefully the 109 articles we uploaded aren't completely gone and all the configuration and other work we put into this theme. The GET SUPPORT link doesn't work. I'm very upset.

This theme is designed to be used on self-hosted WordPress installs, from the WordPress.org project, not WordPress.COM
Please submit a refund request on this page: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new so you can get your money back, and then buy a theme designed for WordPress.COM
