Very Beautiful;

Hello fidaktk!

First, thanks for the great theme! Very clean, and nicely done.

But I have a question about Flatro’s PSDs, which is causing some problems:

1) Can you please explain why Flatro’s PSD layouts are 30px WIDER than the actual HTML layouts when viewed in browser? (Details: Flatro’s PSD layouts are 1170px wide… but the actual, rendered HTML layouts are 1140px wide (30px narrower) in the browser… Are these PSDs based on the old Bootstrap 2 “full-width” size? If so, I urge you to update them to Bootstrap 3’s NEW “full-width” size – in order to avoid confusion between client, developer and designer in terms of planning for image production/cropping, etc)

2) Also, just to clarify which of those 2 widths is correct/closest to Bootstrap 3’s default Desktop grid/page width: Flatro’s HTML layouts seem to more or less match Bootstrap 3’s default “usable” width of 1140px – while the PSD’s are 30px WIDER than Bootstrap 3. Is that Correct?

Thanks in advance for your help!

NGS

Thanks for your quick reply!

However, the problem is visible even in your OWN 2 screenshots. you can see it if you open them both, and toggle between them:

In http://prntscr.com/3vp96k , that “1170px” selection INCLUDES 15px of invisible, unusable padding/negative margins on BOTH sides of the colored layout (see the empty blue space on left/right sides of your selection) – making the actual “usable” content container only 1140px wide – or 30px narrower than in the PSD.

However in http://prntscr.com/3vp9ii , that same content container which you’ve selected fills the ENTIRE 1170px width (with no empty space on both sides) – making the PSD’s outer content container 30px WIDER than the HTML site.

This 30px difference is a problem. Since the column widths in the PSDs are ALL slightly wider than in the HTML site, it makes it impossible to accurately slice artwork from the PSD…

Based on my research, your HTML version appears to correctly match Bootstrap 3’s new width (nominally “1170px wide” but in reality, “1140px of usable width”). So it’s the PSDs that need to be updated…

PS: I should mention, this seems to be a common mistake – especially for PSDs which were originally created for Bootstrap 2.

Basically, Bootstrap 3 is effectively 30px narrower than BS2 – but Bootstrap’s production team has NOT done a good job of explaining that 30px difference between the 2 versions. ;)

yes noticed that.. thanks for pointing that. i will correct the issue in update. thanks again for your detailed comment.

Thanks everyone.
