Hi there! This theme is absolutely gorgeous and I am hoping to use it for my site. Hoping you can answer a couple questions for me:
1. I love the spot you have for a banner ad on the side. Is it easy to add a few more, or would that involve a whole lot of complicated code maneuvering?
2. Have you had anyone integrate woo commerce with this theme? Hoping I can integrate it seamlessly without it shifting the site around too much.
3. Are there a lot of options for color customization, or just a few?
Thanks so much,
Hi there,
Thank you for the kind words!
1. This is simple to do—you can add as many Text Widgets into your sidebar as you like and then copy & paste the ad code within the text widget to display.
2. As we haven’t tested any of our themes with wooCommerce or any eCommerce plugins, we can’t guarantee 100% compatibility. There may be some styling issues. If it’s important to you, though, we highly recommend the talented freelancers over at http://studio.envato.com who can assist for a fee.
3. Florence has loads of color customization options within Appearance > Customize
Cheers!
Hiya – I am a bit of a novice so I just want to double check a few things before I purchase this…
As I use the jetpack plugin on wordpress, will all the widgets & jetpack stuff etc that I have active already be there when I swap it over?
And in the future I may want to introduce e-commerce into my blog to sell an ebook, is that something the theme needs to be able to do or does it not matter?
Thank you – Jane x
Hi Jane,
1 ) I don’t believe Jetpack’s widgets will transfer over when you activate a new theme. Your plugins and settings will remain, however you will need to re-implement the widgets, etc. in the new theme. If you’d like to test this out, you can go to your WP Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > and activate one of the default WordPress themes, like “twentyfifteen”. This will show you what transfers and what will need to be set up again.
2 ) I’m afraid Florence isn’t currently 100% compatible with an eCommerce plugin such as “WooCommerce”. However it should be relatively easy to make the theme compatible down the line if you’d like to. A freelancer could add the necessary WooCommerce file to the theme and then style the different pages (shop, shopping cart, product pages, etc.). http://studio.envato.com has a big directory of freelancers for hire.
Cheers!
Okay thats fine, it won’t affect the subscribers/followers on wordpress though will it? As they’re brought over with jetpack also?
Hi there,
It shouldn’t affect your subscribe/follow list as this information should be stored on your Jetpack account and remain with your plugin that transfers
Cheers!
