How is this theme monetised? Can front end users post recipes and sell to other front end users? Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest in our product.

The Food Recipes WordPress theme does support front-end recipe submission for logged-in users. You need to enable user registration so that you can allow users to have an account and submit recipes.

You can read more about it on the following documentation of the theme.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hy,

I have a question, to vote a recipe ask to be logged into the page, I do not know since when this has changed,

-Is there any way that I can select that I don’t have to be logged in to vote?

Best Regards

Hi,

Thank you for using our product.

To rate a recipe you do not need to login in normal scenario. However, I am not sure why it is different in your installation.

Please visit our support site and share your url there so we can check and help you with this problem. (support related links are provided below)

Hi, Where is the sign up page for the users to submit a recipe? I see majority of the recipe themes are lacking the signup page and user profile options. Can you please assist me on this?

Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest in our products.

Unfortunately, there is no profile or user registration form available in this theme. However, you can enable the default user login/registration option by clicking login button in the top menu. It will take you to the login page where the register option is also available.

You can also look for a suitable login/register plugin which can be used with any product of your liking.

We do have a login/register popup in another item of ours where you have to enable ‘anyone can register’ option to allow users to register form the front end easily.

1) Does it come in dark mode?

2) Does it work with Elementor?

3) Can I upload or embed videos?

4) Mobile ready (responsive)?

Thank you so much for your response. Unfortunately, dark mode is very, very popular, and my site is dark mode. To add a light section to my dark mode site would make my site look strange. Thank you for your time! :)

It is a good idea about new skin and we surly put it in our update list. Thank you for this suggestion.

You’re welcome

Hi;

This theme does not work well with WordPress 5.6 because of the jquery theme, WordPress has been updated for some time, when will they update the theme?

Best regards!

HI,

It would be good if for future updates you would make a changelog of the files that are modified, I am not referring to the code that is touched but having a traceability of the modified files would be of great help.

I work with the parent theme since with the child, modifying some functionalities does not go well, and in each update I have to use code comparators to check all the files of the theme with respect to the previous version and then apply them to my changes.

Best Regards

By the way there is a repository to download version 4.0.4 of the theme?

Hi,

The repository of this version is not public and we are managing it privately.

I will discuss the suggestion with the team and try to manage a detailed changelog including the changed files list as well.

In the 4.0.5 we have modified ‘css/main.css’, ‘inc/recipe/recipe-single-slider-normal.php’, ‘inc/nutritional-info.php’, ‘js/script.js’, ‘functions/scripts.php’, ‘functions/styles.php’, ‘js/select2.full.min.js’, ‘style.css’, ‘inc/tgm/required-plugins.php’.

I hope that helps.

Best Regards

Hi!

Pre sale question: Can I add Ads in this theme?

Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest in our product.

You can add ads in several available places and also sidebar widgets. If you want to put ads after several recipes or posts then there is many plugins available to manage your ads all over the website.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi,

When will there be an update on the theme? If suggestions are accepted, the font awesome font is too heavy and slows down the loading of the web, it would be necessary to try to reduce these fonts to lighter ones.

Best Regards.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. I will get it considered in the upcoming update.

We are working on our other products for now. However, we will be launching minor improvement update for this product soon as well.

Best Regards

in the new June 2020 release, author.php is causing a memory problem (HTTP ERROR 500).

I replaced it with an old “author.php” from an earlier release and that works fine. with minor adjustment. Will you please try to fix the problem.

I see this message in the log PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/recipe/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1999 PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 57344 bytes) in /home/recipe/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4669 PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0

I really like the theme but the mobile version (menu) is awful. Please change it!

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion.

I already have it in the update list and will be part of the next version of this theme.

Best Regards

The same here, the slider of this theme is broken after the wordpress update!

I forgot to mention the plugin name which is ‘WP Favorite Posts’. It is throwing a js error which is stopping all the jQuery functionality in the theme including slider.

Thanks.

Hi;

Today wordpress has been updated to version 5.5.

I want to report that the slider of this theme is broken after the update, some incompatibility has with respect to the new version of wordpress.

I have disabled the cache plugins that I use both WP Rocket and SG optimizer and the slider does not work, I would like it to be reviewed and a solution given.

Hi;

I have disabled the WP Favorite Posts plugin and the slider works again. The problem is that in the wordpress version 5.5 they have updated the jQuery, and the obsolete versions will stop working in the future, I hope they can update the theme soon.

Best Regards!

Hi,

You are right about the jQuery issues. The support for certain function was being added using modernizr.js which is removed in this recent version.

The theme isn’t using any outdated version however the plugin we gave support for has some deprecated ones as explained before. I hope they will fix it soon. Our team will also push the fix on their repository so that they can update it soon.

Best Regards

Hi. Why i can’t add image from front end side. I see this message “Your browser does not have Flash, Silverlight or HTML5 support.”?

Hi. Congratulations on your work. I’m going to create an app with a React Native theme that I buy, it is as follows: BeoNews Pro – React Native mobile app for Wordpress.

I really like Food Recipes, but before buying I wanted to know if: Is your WordPress theme for creating my app compatible with this React Native theme (BeoNews Pro – React Native mobile app for Wordpress)? Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for liking our product and best of luck with your project.

Unfortunately, we have not yet tested of made this theme compatible with any of the app available in the market.

You need to create or use available API plugins for your WordPress installation to attach it with the application. I can not be much of a help in the regard but you can get many helpful data on the internet regarding this task.

I again hope you for the best.

Hi, google is saying to me than some structured data like cookTime and prepTime is missing. Format JSON-LD for structured data is recommended, do you support it? How can i add the missing fields? Thanks lot for your answer

Hi,

The theme is schema ready already. However, I will get everything tested again. Please come to our support site and mention this issue along with the access information so that we can help you with this issue. (support related links are provided below)

Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest in our product.

We have one click demo functionality available in the theme so that you can set the theme same as our demo easily. You can also find our support very helpful in case of any trouble you come accross.

When a subscriber logs in, are they able to create a recipe on the front end? I don’t want them to have to go to a dashboard and deal with posts. The recipe needs to get posted right away. As an admin, I do not need to approve the recipe as it is their own submission. Only logged in subscribers would be able to view their own recipes. I’m currently testing out a membership plugin named “MemberMouse” to manage subscribers. Thanks. Bob

Hi,

Thank you for taking an interest in our product.

The subscriber can only submit recipes from the front-end. The user can visit the backend but only for his own profile changes.

The submitted recipe will be pending for admin’s approval but if you want to change that then there will be a small change in code and recipes will be submitted automatically. Our support can help you with that tweek.

The subscribers can see only their own recipes on the front end view.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Best Regards
