Hi, nice work. I noticed search problem. If you put a word into search bar and hit enter, everything woks well but if you click with mouse on search button, it search for “Find…” word

Hi Oneeyelab!

Thank you for the comment, this was may bad! I’ve corrected the bug and will definitely include the fix into the upcoming theme update which is due next week.

Meanwhile, the fixed file can be downloaded here:; This needs to replace the “search.js” file found in the /Fuji/scripts folder.

Once again, thank you and have a great day!

Thanks for the quick reply Andrew.

As for the Fuji logo, I said right side but I meant top left. I want to put my own picture/wording where it has the circle Fuji.

As for the other items, I just love your whole layout. How do I get the facebook, twitter, pinterest, and rss logos you have at the top left next to the find bar?

On the menu, how do did you make a “blog” page that looks different than the home page? And along with that, how did you make the shortcodes have a dropdown menu? Where did you make the contact us form and page?

I have tried to add the slide pictures to my home page, but all it does is leave a big black rectangle with the circle moving in the middle. Its not finding my pictures I am trying to upload.

Also, how did you make the follow us widget on the side with fb logo, google plus, etc?

Finally, how did you place and make the “category” links like travel, thoughts etc on your front page? I can’t seem to make the seperate categories appear in the grey box like you have it.

I apologize for all the questions but I as I said, I really like your layout and want to use it.

Thanks so much and if you want to reply to my personal email, please do.

Hi Derek!

Let me answer the questions by bullets to keep clear and concise:

1). The logo is an image; you can change the logo image and upload any image you want in the “Page Elements” tab of the “Theme Options” admin menu.

2). In order to show social buttons in the header, please go to “Appearance – Widgets” admin menu and drag the “Social Media Widget” into the “Header Widgets” area on the right. By expanding the widget you can customize which icons to show and add links to your social profiles. If you wish to keep the icon appearance as in the theme demo, be sure to choose “Default (x32)” in the “Icon Size” dropdown and “Fuji Theme Icons” in the “Icon Pack” dropdown.

3). WordPress allows setting different pages for the frontpage and the blog posts – just go to “Settings – Reading” to configure that.

4). Both menus in Fuji support submenus – just go to “Appearance – Menus” for configuration interface. Submenus are created by dragging any menu item a bit to the right, so that they “stick” under one of the first-level menu items.

5). The “Contact Us” page with the Google Maps header is a separate template – you can choose the right one in the bottom right corner of the page edit screen (the “Template” dropdown). The contact form can be created with the built-in contact form constructor – see theme manual page 4 for more information on this topic.

6). Did you add the slide pictures through the slide upload fields in the “Theme Options” menu? Also, be sure to choose “File URL ” in the “Link URL ” field while in the image uploader.

7). The social icons widget in the sidebar in created using the same old “Social Media Widget” built-in widget – just drag it into the “Sidebar” area and configure as described in point 2 above.

8). To make a category menu, go to “Appearance – Menus”, press the plus tab in the right-hand box, enter the menu name and hit “Create Menu” to make a new menu. Then scroll down and in the left corner you’ll see the “Categories” box – pick the ones you need and and hit “Add to Menu”. Then scroll up and in the “Theme Locations” box choose your menu from the dropdown that says “Main Menu Above Content”.

Hope it helps! If you have more questions or something is unclear, do not hesitate to ask!

Best, Andrew.

So I have figured out how to change the headers for each page but I believe there is a glitch and when I change it for one page it resets the headers throughout the site.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Hi Derek!

It seems that comments on ThemeForest can only go down one level – I cannot reply to your second message. Could you please email me at describing in detail the steps you took to set up the headers so that we could proceed with the conversation more efficiently.

Sincrely, Andrew.

Hi could you please respond to my email i sent earlier today. Thank you :)

I’ve replied to your email ;)

First thank you for the theme, awesome looks. Just what I was after! I would definitely recommend this.

I do have a couple of questions though. I’m trying to customize the secondary nav bar to be fully justified so the items fill the entire bar. I’ve been playing around with firebug for ages but frustratingly got nowhere! hah! I was wondering if it’s possible with this theme and if it’s an easy change?

Also, I cannot seem to get the slider captions to show. I’ve added the slides & captions & ticked Captions – Yes box. Am I missing something painstakingly obvious?

EDIT : IGNORE that last question – I’m an idiot.

Hope you can help,

Appreciate it,

Hi Chris!

Firstly – thank you for the purchase and for the kind words! :)

The question you’ve posed regarding the justified-style menu got me thinking for a while – turned out to be a bit more complex than I thought. The solution I can propose is a bit lengthy, but juicy:

1). Add the following lines of code to “style.css” in the theme root (go to “Appearance – Editor” for that (saying just in case):
#nav-secondary .middle-menu-container ul li { float: none; display: inline-block; } #nav-secondary .middle-menu-container { text-align: justify; } #nav-secondary .middle-menu-container span { display: inline-block; position: relative; width: 100%; height: 0; }

2). Add the following lines of code to the “functions.php” file (before the closing ”?>” tag:
function justify( $args = '' ) { $args['items_wrap'] = '<ul id="%1$s" class="%2$s">%3$s<span /></ul>'; return $args; } add_filter ( 'wp_nav_menu_args' , 'justify' , 20 );

The second part is needed to make a slight change to the menu function arguments, adding a element after the end of the menu (it’s easier to implement through functions.php because I’ve got the secondary menu calls scattered all over the theme in various template files). The first part above is needed to tweak the styling so that the new element breaks the line and causes the menu list elements to justify. The only thing I am not sure about is whether it will work as well in the older versions of everybody’s favourite Frankenstein, Internet Explorer.

Hope it does the trick!

If it doesn’t or be there questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Hi there,

I like your theme and thinking to buy it but… Is that possible for additional money to customize second part of your Index page? Look at pic.#1 here: and and pic.#2 here: Let me know please if you have time and possibilities to do that and specially, how much it will cost.

Thank you,

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for expressing interest in Fuji!

Let me first describe the customization task as I understood it, just to make sure: 1). On the front page, create several blocks of posts in a two-column grid. 2). Each block should display the last posts of the particular category. 3). The blocks should have links to respective category listings. 4). Category listings should look like the second screenshot.

If the above description matches your idea of the end result, I would be willing to implement the changes for $25 given it’s not too urgent (say until the end of Monday maximum). If it is due earlier, then the sum will have to be higher since I have several projects going on. I can accept payments from several online systems, including PayPal, Payoneer, Neteller, and Skrill (Moneybookers).

Let me know what you think! For convenience reasons, we can continue this conversation via email (

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

Hi again!

Finally I bought your Theme and I really like it, but I got a problem when using the Header1 (h1). The text that uses H1 is left aligned, and uses white color. H2 works just fine, this just happens with H1…

Hi LunaticZorr,

Thank you for the purchase!

I would strongly advise against using H1 headings in the text of pages or posts for SEO purposes: each page and post already contain one H1 element (the heading of the page or post), and two or more H1 elements on the same page are generally a minus to the search engine rankings. Using H2 instead is recommended, and it looks very similar to H1 (just a bit smaller).

In case you do need to use H1 inside content, please go to “Appearance -> Editor” and add the following line to the bottom of the “style.css” file (should open by default): .page-content h1, .post-content h1 { color: #990000; float: none; } and hit “Update file”. This should make the H1 elements look like H2. You can change the colour to any other of course :)

I apologize for the bug and hope this helped! Should you have other questions or comments, do not hesitate to approach me!

Sorry if this a very noobie question I am newish to WP.. but when I go to edit this theme it tells me..You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

Any help would be great only seems on this theme. I am using WP 3 .4.2

Hi Electricgeisha!

First of all, thank you for the purchase!

Let’s troubleshoot: let me clarify if the permissions message appears when you try to enter the admin area (i.e. or when you try to open a particular menu page inside the admin area?

Hi, I’m having issues in I.E. 8. All of my layout is broken. Can you help me please?

Thank you.

Hi Ronaldo!

Please update to the latest version of Fuji (1.2) by downloading the files and re-uploading them into your theme folder. If you’ve made serious modifications in the template files (which does not seem to be the case from looking at the website, yet just in case), you can at least renew the style.css, header.php, and ie8.css files. The update should fix the IE issues.

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

I bought this great theme yesterday and have installed it without any problems. Currently I am translating it into Dutch, and that’s where I run into some problems.

With the built-in localisation plugin I am able to translate a lot of the English texts, but there are quite a lot of strings I am not able to translate (or maybe I am doing something wrong).

For example, I can’t seem to translate the following strings without changing the PHP code (which I don’t want to do, because that would break the possibility to update the theme in the future):
  • Date format for posts (day month year is used in Holland)
  • Previous and next button for blog pages
  • Read more link for blogpost
  • Find.. text in searchbox
  • Text in comments part of the website

Like I said, maybe I’m doing something wrong. Hope you can help me.

Hi Edv!

I apologize for a slow reply!

I’ll go by bullets to make it more readable:

1). You can change the date format in “Settings – General”; If you want the months and days of the week to display in another language, you’ll need to localize your WordPress installation; please see here for instructions:

2). The pager issue is my mistake, sorry! To fix this, you’ll need to download the file situated here: http:/, unpack it and upload into your WordPress installation into the following folder: /wp-content/themes/Fuji/includes/pager/ – replacing the original pager.php file. Please also note that the localizer works with html symbols, so in order to translate the “Next Page »” you’ll need to input “Next Page »” as the string, and to translate “« Previous Page”, you’ll need to input “« Previous Page”.

3). Again, my bad. Please download this file: http:/, upack and upload it into the following folder: /wp-content/themes/Fuji/ – replacing the original “index.php” file. Again, in order to translate the “Read more »” you’ll need to input “Read more »” as the string.

4). Input “Find..” into the Old string field, i.e. include the two dots :)

5). In order to translate the “Posted by” phrase (if I understood correctly your question), you’ll need to add a closing space, i.e. “Posted by ”.

Hope this helps!

Should you have more questions or comments, do not hesitate to create a forum topic at, and I will be glad to help out!

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

Hi, I installed the theme but it is acting weirdly.

The page list is displaying at the top. Even though I set it to only show excepts, it is showing the full text. When I enter a post detail, I am still show to the main site.

Any ideas?

Thank you for reporting, Pablo!

I’ve tried activating Jetpack 1.8.1 on a fresh WordPress installation (ver. 3.4.2) with the Fuji theme and it seems to be working properly. Could you please tell me which versions of WordPress and Jetpack you are using? This would help greatly in improving the theme.

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

No problem! I am using the latest of everything. I removed everything and started from scratch, no idea what it could be. And not exactly sure if it has to do with one of the module of Jetpack or the entire plugin :(

Thanks, Pablo, I will look deeper into the issue this week.

Best, Andrew | Satori

Hi! Recently you showed me how to centralize the entire menu and it worked very well in chrome, firefox and IE9 browsers, however, unfortunatly my client uses IE8 in your PC and in that browser your solution doesn’t work. Could you tell me if there is a way to do it work in the IE8 too?

Hi Ronaldo! Oh, that Internet Explorer :)

Try adding this to ie8.css file: #nav-primary .sliding-menu-container .sliding-menu li { display: inline-block !important; }

I do not have an IE8 to test it out, only web renderers, but it should work. If it doesn’t, let me know, I’ll investigate further.

Best, Andrew | Satori

Please help cause also when i tried to upload this theme is responding “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

Hi Babu1,

First of all, thank you for the purchase!

The error message you got may be due to a glitch during the theme package upload onto your server. Please try deleting the theme folder manually via ftp and re-uploading the files, again via ftp. Also make sure that you are uploading the unzipped “Fuji” folder which is found inside the “Fuji_Installable” archive.

Should this not help or in case you have other questions or comments, do not hesitate to contact me!

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

Hi ! I’ve recently purchased your template and it’s amazing ! I was wondering if it’s possible to have the psd files of the logo please.

Sorry if my english seems bad.

Hi Althemenes,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

I made the logo (as well as all theme sketches) in Fireworks, consequently it’s in a .png format. You can download the layered png directly from the theme’s demo: – and modify it in whichever way you like :) If you strongly prefer a .psd format file, let me know, I can try to install Photoshop on my machine and convert the file for you.

P.S. Votre anglais est parfait ;)

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

It looks like i can’t replay to you… Don’t worry about the psd file i’ll use the .png format :) , but actually i got a little problem when i tried to activate, the template, i got the “mydomain/wp-admin/themes.php?activated=true” even after uploading the file via ftp.

But anyway if i can talk to you in french it will be so helpfull for me ! And your french is perfect

Dear Althemenes,

Was there a problem during the installation/activation of the theme? Is it working properly? Please clarify what you meant by the URL you provided, thank you!

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

When i upload the template folder with filezila and after clicking the activation link the template send an error page with “Erreur HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected situation occurred while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.”, and all my wordpress functions didn’t works, i’m using wordpress 3.4.2, php 5.3.17 and hosted by e-clicking.

In order for me to be able to troubleshoot the situation, please provide your website’s URL , admin login/password, and ftp login/password – you can send them to (strictly no disclosure guaranteed).

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori

Hi, i’ve sent you an email with the details you wanted. :)

Well the template finally works, i’ve reinstalled wordpress, sorry for the inconveniance.

Hi, I updated the twitter widget with the code from the template’s forum and since then a message started to appears on the bottom of the site: Warning: call_user_func_array() []: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘Array’ was given in /home/restaurantekan/ on line 403

thank you

Dear Ronaldo,

to help me replicate the error, could you please tell me two things: 1). Does the message display in the front-end or in the admin area? 2). Are you using any third-party plugins?

Best, Andrew | Satori

Hi, 1) yes the message display in the front-end and I’m using some plugins but I already tried to disable all of then and the message persists.

I think I’ve managed to get to the bottom of this one. Please update the twitter-widget.php file with this fix. Let me know if this removes the error message.

Best, Andrew | Satori

Thank you, Andrew, everything is working fine now, no more error message. Ronaldo

Great! :) Should anything else pop up, do not hesitate to approach me!

Best, Andrew | Satori

I found out that sliding-off.css is missing in my downloaded zip package. Can you double check it for me?

Sorry I posted in wrong place. The problem is for Origami theme.

Hi Fcitx,

First of all, thank you for the purchase!

The file you mention is not supposed to be among the Origami theme, since it has no sliding menus envisaged. Sorry, there is an obsolete reference in the header.php file which gives the error notice is e.g. checked in the Firebug or other developer addon. Please download the updated header.php here and re-upload into the theme folder, replacing the original one. Thank you for noticing that, I’ll include the fix in the upcoming theme update!

Should you have any other questions or comments, do not hesitate to approach me!

Sincerey, Andrew | Satori

Hi there, I recently purchased the Fuji template and I’m liking it a lot! Thanks for all the hard work, and especially the instruction manual and the ease of customization.

The only issue I’m having is that my main image banner seems to only appear on the front page of the site. When you click on a category or an individual post, it disappears. Is there a way I can set it to appear norally on all pages?

Hey Cdmcneil!

Thank you for the purchase and for the kind words!

The situation you’re describing is not a bug: by design, the header (image/slider/custom HTML ) only displays on pages, including the front page, and does not display on posts and archives. If you want an image on top that would display on every instance of the website, I can suggest two alternatives:

1). The quick and dirty – upload the image as a wide logo, and it will show up everywhere

2). If you want more flexibility (e.g. using a slider) – download the modified template files I’ve prepared for you, unzip them, and upload into the theme folder (wp-content/themes/Fuji/), replacing the existing files. This should allow displaying dynamic headers on both individual posts and on category pages.

Should you have more questions or comments, do not hesitate to approach me!

Sincerely, Andrew | Satori
