Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Will plugins X and Y work with this theme?

With thousands of plugins available it’s not possible to test all of them with the theme. However we try to test some of the most popular plugins including BuddyPress, bbPress WooCommerce. Most plugins should work with theme out of the box, however if the plugin has a lot of frontend content then its styling may not match the styling of the theme.

Can I try the theme out before I buy it?

As with most themes sold here we unfortunately do not provide the ability to test the theme before you purchase it. The main reason for this is a demo would be editable by all users and as a result some users would completely ruin the theme and the potential buyer would then get a completely skewed view of how the theme works.

When a reliable theme demo plugin is available, there are plans to allow theme testing.

Can I transfer my reviews from my old theme to this theme?

You should be able transfer your review content to this theme but it may require a lot of work. Without spending a lot of time looking into your current setup I can’t tell you how you would do this, but here’s some information that will help you make this decision:

Site ratings are added to normal pages (that use a review page template) using a custom field “_gp_site_rating”.

User ratings are stored in a custom field called “_gp_user_rating”.

The number of votes is stored in a custom field called “_gp_user_votes”.

So if your current ratings are stored in custom fields associated with posts, you will need to convert these posts with ratings to pages and then transfer the rating values from your old custom fields to new custom fields with the names mentioned above.

If you’re not able to do this yourself you will need to hire a developer to make your old reviews compatible with the theme. You can contact my developer OurWebMedia at and they will be able to give you a quote for this work.
