I just bought this theme and everything works fine until I started importing the geko main demo – import type All, with all import attachments. Import hangs at 90% and I can tell from the cpanel info there are no importing anymore, but import wasn’t finished and the site is upside down now. I`m aware about slider revolution import method that’s not the issue.
I don’t want to start working from the scratch, that’s why I bought the theme in the first place, can you help me with this to resolve this issue. It should go with the flow I have a problem like this for the first time.
I also submitted a ticked on qodeinteractive.com with the link for my site with unfinished demo.

Hello there, I like this theme and I`m planing to buy it. But I need to ask you something:
1. It says the last update was 1 September 2021 (on the right side), but on the bottom of the page says version 1.9 – December 10th, 2020 and the WPBakery Page Builder version is 6.4.2 which is pretty old considering there is 6.10.0. version. What is the latest version of the theme, which date and what is the last version of WPBakery Page Builder the theme is using?
2. If I buy the theme can you give me the latest WPBakery Page Builder version.
3. Can I import demo content just like in the demos?
4. The most important thing for me in the WPBakery Page Builder is to save as template the segment I worked on, to use it later on other pages if I needed. I hope that is not a problem with this version of WPBakery ?

Bundled plugins do get updated with the theme, however, you should know that in case you need latest version of any bundled plugin you can submit a ticket at our Help Center or contact us through this email (just add your purchase code in the mail) and our support agents will provide you with latest version. Hi, regarding updating WP Bakery due to known vulnerabilities – we updated the core files by downloading latest and ended up with a number of pages showing html code such as qodef_icon icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=”fa-download” size=”qodef-icon-medium” type=”normal” icon_animation=”” link=”#” target=”_self” icon_color=”#5a1b76″
we restored the site back but we have an issue of how to update WP Bakery – how do we install it from the core download without affecting these pages?
FYI I have located JS_composer.zip and manually installed it which has resolved that issue but we are still hitting this issue of qodef being written everywhere and not rendered
Ok so it looks like its an issue with SELECT core. The Envanto them update does not update select core. it merely updates your theme which itself forces bakery update which loses all the select core features such as the QO def tags etc. Manual update of select core seems to have brought it back.
that is a very scary feature which I havent seen documented – can you not force the update of select core when envato updates the theme files?

Is there a reason when I download the theme from themeforest and install it over the original site that WP Bakery is always v6.01 this has major vulnerabilities.
Are you updating the version of bakery in this theme? in jscomposer.zip in your includes it’s still 6.01 – see vulnerability here https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/10422Running version 1.8.2 of Geko as updated via envato plugin and even downloaded the latest files in the download area and still says its an old vulnerable version of the plugin

I don’t understand how to change the content of the menu or the footer, or get rid of the main slides on the home page and many more… and the documentation provided doesn’t match the current version. Also, changes I make from the main setting options don’t take effect most of the time. Thanks. I did but my request is still pending and there are a million things that just don’t work… Bakery for a start, there’s no licence attached to the template. Same with Revolution slider. How long does the support usually take? It’s a nightmare to work with this template, I’m losing so much time over simple things and my website looks like an absolute mess one week away from launching….

Please note that WPBakery and Revolution Slider does come bundled within the theme and you do not need to activate any license for it as bundled plugins do get updated when the theme is.

Can we expect security updates sometime soon?

At the moment we don’t have any ETA when this update will come out, however, we can say that the theme is compatible with the latest version of WordPress as well as it is compatible with the latest WooCommerce as well. You will get this message though but it will not affect the performance of the theme as well as it will be added in the theme’s changelog once the update is out.

How to activate WPBakery Builder and RevSlider? or do i need to buy the license myself?

The plugins that you got after the purchase are called bundled and we, as a theme authors, have purchased an extended licence for them. That means you don’t have to activate them and they’ll work for you regardless of that.
In the following text we’ll explain how the bundled plugins work:
Bundled plugins offer the same core features and functionality as the standalone version of the item on CodeCanyon.
Some plugins may ask for a purchase code for registration/activation once installed, however, you can simply ignore these messages as bundled plugins do not require activation or registration. The plugin will still work as intended with the theme once the theme has been activated/registered.
When a plugin is updated, the theme author will include the latest version of the bundled plugin with their next theme update. So you can easily update the bundled plugin when you next update your theme.

I want to have more format options for the blog posts, can you check www.gq.com (mobile format) because i can do image_in_box format for blog list in desktop/laptop, but in mobile it uses its standard (box format). that makes all blog lists have the same format. sad

Regardless of the blog type you choose for desktop, mobile version will always be the same. That is default theme’s functionality because there’re not much options for small screen devices. In order for content to be readable for 4” screen, list must be in one column.

Hi, I would like to get a refund for the 6-month support we just paid for a few weeks ago. They have not helped me and keep sending me to different people to help. By now we know there’s an issue with the Geko theme Select Portfolio List function that needs to be fixed on Select’s end. I keep getting people that do not help and it takes multiple days to hear back from a support member. And then a new one tries to help and we seem to go back to step one again these last 2-3 weeks. There are not enough support staff to assist in customer’s problems and they get passed around to different people who cannot fix the issue. I will purchase another plugin to fix the issue. Please give us a refund, thank you.
