Hi, is the version here on themeforest already the latest? we never received the email alert. is it tested for wordpress 5.6? We haven’t updated the theme since September 2019 because I have never received any notifications. Should I do some intermediate update steps or can I install this latest update directly? Thanks

Yes indeed, this version on Theme Forest is currently the latest theme version and is compatible with WordPress 5.6 so you’ll be able to update directly to this version. I’ll double check our notifications option to ensure these are being sent out.

If you’re needing to disable the Instagram feed this can be done on the ‘Hello Friday Settings > Footer’ tab from the ‘Extra Footer Settings’ section by deselecting the ‘Enable instagram’ option.

I’ve been using this theme for ages now and very happy with it, but recently I’ve been getting comments that blog articles cannot be read on mobile. They’re too big for the page and you cannot scroll to the side to read. So half the words seem to fall off the page. I would love to know what I did wrong to have it be like this. I read that the theme is 100% mobile friendly so I think I might have some settings mixed up. What could it be?

Hi ! I’ve a problem, I’ve written 12 articles, and now when i want to publish more, the homepage slider and the picture of the first article below just disappears. The only solution i found for now is to add one more article to show in the slider. It work that way, but it’s not a long time solution. Thank you for helping me ! Pierre

This plugin is only used to control some page elements and the ‘signups’ functionality within the theme so there would be no specific settings for the plugin itself. All of the theme functionality and options will be controlled from the theme options page on the ‘Appearance > Hello Friday Settings’ tab.

I’ve included a line of CSS for you below which can be added to the custom CSS section on the ‘Hello Friday Settings > General Settings’ tab to resolve this. We’ll be implementing the fix on our end with the next theme update.

Is there a way to have all URL links in the blog posts open on a new tab instead of opening up on the same page as the blog post?

This would be set through the WordPress editor options when editing or creating a new link in a post or page. You can highlight the text you’d like to make a link and then click on the ‘insert/edit link’ button from the editor toolbar and then from the popup click the cog icon (Link options) and then from here tick the ‘Open link in a new tab’ option.

Translations for the theme I’m afraid do no function with a po/mo file so could not be done this way. For translations we’d highly recommend the WPML plugin as we’ve worked together with the WPML team to make the theme compatible. Or alternatively the Polylang plugin can also be used which allows for string translation. Other than the this the only other option would be to make changes directly to the theme files.

The home page does allow for a products carousel to display a list of products either below or above the launchpads section, just above the list of posts. Although, I’m afraid, its not possible to use a specific category or list of products for this carousel and the available options would be ‘latest’, ‘best sellers’, ‘most popular’ and ‘on sale’. The mobile logo should no be the same as desktop logo and I don’t know where to define that in the Hello friday menu…

We are having the same problem as deanquenton in that Sidebar Navigation Widgets Not Appearing On Mobile. There is the navigation menu prompt, but when I click it, the menus briefly appear, then disappear so we aren’t able to select a different menu item.

With the issue mentioned by deanquenton this was to enable the entire sidebar to display on mobile as it is hidden by default. I’m unsure if this might be the same request as you’ve mentioned having an issue when clicking navigation links. There are 2 things that you need to do to achieve this.
First, make sure that your home page is set to Home via the WordPress backend. Please look at the first item on this page where we explain this. http://heroplugins.com/product/hello-friday/documentation/?section=faqs
Now go to your HelloFriday Settings panel in the WordPress Backend. Appearance / HelloFriday Settings / Front Page. Scroll down to the Launch Pads section. Make sure to switch on the Launchpads, then select the pages or post categories to display. The blocks on the home page will display the main image that was assigned to that page or post category.
Assigning images to the launchpads:
Assigning an image to a Post Category. Browse to Posts / Categories in your WP sidebar. Now open a category and assign a Image.
In the WP Backend browse to a page that you want to display as a launchpad on the home page. Now assign a Featured Image in the right hand side bar.

Sidebar Widgets Not Appearing On Mobile – please assist on how to make the sidebar widgets appear on mobile devices, there is no settings on the theme or pages / posts, etc. to do this – any suggestions to resolve this thanks.

It is intended for the sidebar to not display on mobile, however we can apply some CSS to display this for you. I’ve included a snippet below which you can add to the custom CSS section on the ‘Hello Friday Settings > General Settings’ tab to make this change.
