Comparing with Hemlock theme , I more like Cassia, but before I purchase it,

I want to confirm do you still will update the product cause it look likes you did update it since 2016.

And also, if Cassia has special area for Absence that i don’t need to do any code by myself ? if you have this space and how many you have totally ?

Do you have any guide for me to install it after I purchase it?

Except the layout, would you please tell me what is big difference between this two theme? thanks。

Hi,

I have been using a plugin to add a pop up subscription form to my site. I’ve used 2 different plugins and in both cases , even though I choose to only show the pop up on desktop (not on mobile) it still shows on mobile. How can I hide it on mobile, it seems the theme overrides the plugin.

Hi there,

Thanks for that! I installed the Holler Box plugin on my Hemlock test site and looked at its configuration settings which seems pretty straight-forward. I can’t see that there’s anything in the Hemlock theme that would interfere with its “disable on mobile” setting.

Have you tried clearing your mobile phone’s browser cache?

I’d also definitely recommend reaching out to the plugin’s authors to see if they have any suggestions or insight into why it’s occurring. It looks like you can contact them here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/holler-box

Otherwise, the only thing I can think of would be to use CSS code to hide it on mobile screen sizes and see if that helps at all. To give it a try, you could add this to your Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS box:

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .holler-box {display: none !important;} }

Cheers!

Is the new update compatible with wordpress 5.0? It only says 4.9 in the Software field

Hi there,

Yes it is :-) Themeforest haven’t yet added the option to add 5.0 for the software field

Hi, is it possible to delete the written HELMLOCK from the frontpage? And in case how? Thanks

Hi there,

Yes, to replace the “Hemlock” demo logo image with your own instead, you can navigate to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Logo & Header Settings > and upload your own image. It will automatically override the demo image.

Otherwise, if you don’t want a logo image there at all and would like to hide it entirely, you can navigate to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS box > and paste in this code:

#logo img {display: none;}

To ONLY hide the logo image from the frontpage and have it display on all others, you can instead use this Custom CSS code:

.home #logo img {display: none;}

Hi. I have set a static page as home but wordpress does not let me insert the sidebar. Is there a particular reason?

Hi there,

If your homepage is a static page, you’ll want to change its layout by selecting a different page template. You can navigate to the page’s edit screen. Look on the right side for a drop-down titled “Templates”. Here, you can select one of the templates which includes the sidebar. Please be sure to update your page when finished.

Where can I find a similar pine tree icon like the one in the logo?

Hi there,

Ooh, it’s been so long since we made Hemlock’s logo. I’m pretty sure we found it via https://creativemarket.com in an illustration pack.

Cheers!

I love it! Thanks!

You’re welcome!

Hi, I received an message from google noting that I have mobile usability errors. They show my drop down menu and note “content wider than screen” and “elements too close together”. My drop down only drops by 4 columns and I have always had it this way, I haven’t changed anything, it looks fine on my phone, so I’m not clear why I would be getting this issue from google. site is olivetomato.com

Next stop would be us taking a better look at your site setup by providing us with a temporary admin account. You can use the contact form on our profile page to send us the details.

That being said, I ran your site via the Mobile friendly tool and it’s coming back positive https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?id=6Rfz8ULSpsDo9MbOE7LbmA

It could be that when Google tested your site, that moment you were experiencing a server hick-up and your site loaded slowly.

Thanks for looking into it. Yes, site wide it shows the site as being positive, but there are 16 posts/pages that come up with 2 mobile usability issues. I’ll be in touch through your profile page, thanks again!

Hello, I tried to install the purchased Hemlock theme on a new blog, because I changed my domain. It shows me an error and says the theme cannot be installed because the ZIP file is missing some CSS sheet (“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme installation failed.”).

I don’t really want to extend the support time, but I do want to use the product that I have purchased a while ago and paid for. Please help :) Thank you! Weronika

Hi Weronika,

Of course! It sounds like you may be trying to install the wrong zipped folder. Can you please follow the installation steps in this article and let us know if this resolves the error message?

WP Widget is gone – they were found to be in violation of WP Guidelines…

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-instagram-widget/

What is everyone using now?

Please check out https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/14306/ The WP Instagram Widget plugin is by far the best IG plugin out there, and we want to continue using it and as of now the plugin author will continue to support it via github.

In the next update we’ll most likely also add support for the Instagram Feed plugin in case people prefer using a plugin that is in the WordPress plugin Directory.

Hi, thanks for the new version. I updated the theme, but now the featured slider in the header is not in horizontal format, but vertical, each image under the previous image. I have tried disabling plugins, but cannot find the reason. What could be the reason? – Anne

Hi Anne,

This often occurs if there’s a javascript error happening. 9/10 times it’s related to a plugin. Can you please try disabling all plugins again and then clear any kind of cache tool you may have running on your web browser? Or, if you have a plugin cache tool, try clearing this plugin’s cache BEFORE disabling it. Then, visit your homepage (with the Slider enabled) and hold the CTRL + F5 keyboard keys at the same time. This will do a “hard refresh” on the browser.Try this a few times.

Does it fix the Slider display issue? If so, you can then begin re-enabling your plugins one by one. Each time you enable a single plugin, do a “hard refresh” on your homepage and see if the Slider begins to look wonky again. If it starts to look strange again after enabling a particular plugin, then you’ve likely found the trouble-maker!

If this doesn’t help, feel free to send us an email via the contact form on our profile page here (https://themeforest.net/user/solopine) and share your site’s URL. We’d be happy to take a closer look!

Cheers!
