Hello! Is it possible to deactivate the reservation form that appears on the Home page just below the main image with the arrival and departure date? I’m interested in whether the reservation is made from outside the page (for example: AirBnb…)

Hello, yes it is possible. You only need to edit the page and remove the Page Builder element. You may also connect the form with a third-party service (although this will require an advanced workaround).

You will need to get your hands on the API manual of each service. Depending on the service you are going to use, there may be a different method. The theme allows for using either the GET or the POST PHP method. It is the way the browser client sends information to the web server.
How it works: before the browser sends the information, it encodes it using a scheme called URL encoding. In this scheme, name/value pairs are joined with equal signs and different pairs are separated by an ampersand.
The theme’s booking request element can use either method but you may need to get more information from the service, regarding the syntax you will need to use to make it work.
When do you expect your theme to be compatible with Wordpress 6.2.x?

I have read that the theme doesn’t use a plugin for reservation system but uses advanced contact forms. This really doesn’t work for my type of business.

The number of plugins you can use is only limited by the amount of memory that is available to PHP. This is part of the hosting configuration. Most modern hosting providers provide a reasonable amount of memory, but you can always upgrade (with little or no cost at all). The theme by itself only needs 128Mb of memory. However, if you are planning to add more plugins and depending on the type of each one, you may need to increase that memory. Bottom line: the theme does not support a standard number of plugins. In theory, it can work with as many as the hosting configuration allows. Note that, the number of plugins will affect the overall performance, depending on the code quality and practices.

In general, we need the purchased code to validate your product and provide you with support. If you don’t have the code you might as well renew the current or purchase a new license. Hello and thank you for your interest in our theme. Hotel Xenia is perfectly compatible with the latest version of WordPress. The software version on the compatibility list usually takes some time to be updated.
Regarding the compatibility, we haven’t tested the theme with the particular plugin but as long as it uses the most common methods for sending/receiving data (in our case, using either the POST or GET method) it will work.
We are using semantic design, which means that all the elements are properly placed on the page to help the search engine locate the content. Therefore, we consider our theme SEO-ready.
The performance of HOTEL XENIA is excellent as you can see on our demo installations. However, the loading speed of a site is dependent on numerous factors including the configuration of the hosting, the size of the images, the caching, etc.

The latest version of Hotel Xenia is compatible with WordPress version 6.0. We have tested it in numerous installations and it worked as expected. Regarding the integration with booking.com or any other booking service, the theme has a booking request form ready. The form allows the use of POST or GET methods to communicate with a third-party service. We haven’t tested with the particular plugin, but, as long as the plugin is using the recommended practices, it is supposed to work.

Hi. Thanks for your work on this theme. This is good. I found out that you can’t chose image size (thumbnails) when adding a background image (ie: in hover box). Do you know if this is specific to the templates or does it come from page editor / wp bakery ?

This is the default way WPBakery Page Builder works. It will select the larger image on the position. There are a few things we can do to change this behavior. However, if you experience pixelation on the images, you may need to try another background-size value. In particular, under the select Background option, there is a drop-down list that allows for selecting the background-size value. By carefully selecting the appropriate image and the corresponding background-size you should be able to achieve a clear image on the Hover box.

Yes, it is. At least in our testing installs it hasn’t produced any serious errors. However, depending on the installation (mainly to the third-party plugins you have installed) we strongly recommend keeping a full site backup before updating to ensure you have a valid restore point in case something won’t go as expected.

Hello, I noticed that many of the alt tags I have set on my images are not correct in the code. I found that in some places eg the rooms grid and also for services, the alt tag has been forced to the item title. This is not ideal for SEO purposes.

Hi, thanks for the response. I have noticed also that on some layouts, the images are hidden from the source code so the alt tag is not displayed. This is not good for SEO. You can see this on your demo page

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you refer to the divider element because all the other images are accepting alt tags (you only need to add one on each image in the media panel view).
Note that, the particular element makes no sense to carry an alt tag as it is there only as a visual element and does not contribute to the meaningful content of the page. Therefore, we’ve chosen not to assign an alt tag to this kind of element.
However, if for a reason you need to add an alt tag, you can do it by customizing the corresponding template. Last but not least, the absence of this tag does not seem to affect the overall SEO of the site.

For example the content for <<exotic beach>> where the image looks nicely wrapped around the text. The way this is done in the template builder is that the image is like a background; so it is not displayed as an image to the code. Therefore even though you set the alt tag in the media library, unfortunately it is not in the code and therefore not used by search engines.
Whilst this doesn’t harm SEO per se, it also really doesn’t help the SEO. It is more powerful to have content, with a corresponding image that matches that content in it’s alt tag description.
As this layout, as well as grids are used throughout the theme, the overall image SEO could be improved and hopefully you will consider this in your future update.

I see what you mean. But, on the other hand, this is the standard functionality of the WPBakery Page Builder. Namely, we have added the image on the column using the Design Options of the Column Settings. And, we haven’t performed any customization to this element. Hence, we can’t add a tag to the background image of the column which would definitely add to the overall SEO performance. But, we needed to use this setting (along with special CSS classes) in order to achieve the configuration of those rows. Therefore, this could be more of interest to the WPBakery.

Hello, after the last update the theme dosen’t show anymore the gallery inside single room.
After some digging i see the error inside the function Plethora::get_post_media and the function Plethora_WP::get_template_part, the gallery when pass through the get_post_media in this line: echo trim(Plethora_WP::get_template_part( ‘templates/single/media’, $type, $return_val ) ); add a wrong path e the get_template_part obviously dosent return nothing.
I already modified the code, i hope the team can adjust so i can update the next time without problem.
