Hi, is it possible to ad text to the home page (about 1500 words)?
Yes you can. There’s place reserved underneath slider for page content
I’ve bought the theme.
Great. Thanks for the purchase
How can i alter the layout of the single product page?
I would like to change the position of the Price and eliminate the short description, move the full description up etc.
I see the files for each of the components but I do not see where they are all strung together.
Also, how does this theme do with SEO?
Thanks for the purchase. You can alter the layout from edd_functions.php inside edd_templates. Make sure you activate child theme and copy this file into child theme folder for customization.
Humbleshop already markup product contents structure with microdata. But for those who wanted advance SEO implementation they can install other SEO plugins
Hope this help. If you got anything technical, pls email us at email@example.com
Can the slider be customized, such as using a video to fill the space instead of a picture? Can it be animated with objects, text blocks, and clickable links? I realize you didn’t write the code to do all of that when you created the theme (or you would have showcased it), but can slider plugins or HTML 5 be coded in without creating major issues?
Awesome theme, by the way.
Humbleshop dont have that video space for slider yet we try to keep it as simple as it can. But you can completely turn it off and freely add any third party fancy slider on it, shouldnt be any issue
Hi, is there anywhere you can see images of the shortcodes available?
Can you use the same shortcodes as on the Humble Portfolio and Business Theme?
If you were running on latest version, now it’s using Easy Bootstrap Shortcode plugin for shortcode. So you can use it anywhere in your website
I have bought this theme twice for two different websites and I have to say it’s brilliant. Very simple, people find it easy it use as a store and HumbleSpace are always so helpful and quick when it comes to support.
Glad to hear that, and thank you for the purchases
Hi, is it possible to have a side bar on the home page?
No by default. But you can customize new homepage template inside child theme if you want.
Email me if you want me to come out with the template firstname.lastname@example.org
I purchased the theme and I’m a new first time shop owner, I wanted to know how to enable the shop feature of the theme like how your demo shows. I went to the dashboard section of my wordpress but i can’t find any function that setups the shop page or create products.
Ok I found the woocommerce plugin and set it up to wordpress, I believe that it will enable my shop to show now.
My new question is in relation to my homepage, how do I get read of this message?:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mamapauline/public_html/wp-content/themes/humbleshop/slider.php on line 68
My webpage is: www.mamapaulines.com
Thanks for the purchase. Pls uncheck the slider, promo banner and brand carousel first. only enable it after images uploaded
This error because you enable the features but there’s no image assign to it
Thanks for the advice! It worked wonderfully. I have another question, I want to show the products without prices. How can I show my whole inventory?
I tried avoiding the adding of prices, but when I do that, only one product is shown for each category, how can I workaround this?.
Can u email me email@example.com i’ll send u the script.
Could you please email me the styling for the contact form.
Did you sent us an email? if yes i’ll reply to that, if not email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I love the theme! Thanks for your great work. I have a quick and probably simple question. I can’t figure out how to put products in the featured products section of the homepage. I have no idea where to upload the products or how to get them on the front page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
first of all make sure you activate Woocommerce plugin. Then follow this docs here for shop settings.
Once done, just check on the star in Product panel for products to be featured on front page
Thank you! That worked perfectly. I just needed to click the star for the featured products. One more question. How do I change the slider speed on the home page? It seems to be going a little fast. Thanks again!
Then change the number to your own speed
Production variation Image issue.
Hello, I seem to be having a problem configuring the product slider to change when a customer selects a variation.
Take a look at my website here: http://www.mercurycustom.com/p2bball/?product=under-armour-mens-signature-sideline-storm-hoody
On the product page you will see that the sweater comes in different colors.
When a user selects a color from the drop down menu, I need the slider to change to the correct colored sweater image.
Please advise as to how this can be done. Thank you.
Sorry we get rid of that function since it’s not compatible with our responsive product images script. But if you need to image assign function i think you need to use the original script from wootheme.
Let me try and pass to you if succeed. Btw pls drop us an email for further discussion
I just wanted to advise everyone else on how to fix the product slider to work with image variations.
I found this script:
“Multiple Images per Variation for WooCommerce”
on Codecanyon which can be purchased for $15.00.
It is fully compatible with this template and it gives you many many extra cool features.
Humbleshop is a great template and with this new plugin, it just takes it to a new level.
Thanks for the advise. Yes you are right, the plugin is awesome for those who wanted to have a great feature for their product images
I’m having same problem like rk73551. Blog page navigation doesn’t format correctly. It’s helpful if you can post the solution here instead of email.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry we are bundling together with the fix with latest 2.1 woocommerce update. Theme will be released late by end of this week. Sorry for the unstyled section.
Hi there. This theme is working very well for me and thanks for your assistance when I needed it.
Can I ask, is this theme compatible with WordPress 3.8?
Yes it is
I have a problem with HumbleShop; only the shop page and the products page change the margin-left to 0px I think, I think with the new woocommerce 2.1.0 update some how it scew up the website.
my website is http://leganainc.com/shop/
That caused by Woocommerce latest updates.
2.1 is a major update. Test extensions and your theme prior to updating and ensure that you keep backups. See our release post for more information. Developers should catch up with develop.woothemes.com to see what has been happening.
What can i say this gonna take sometimes for us to catchup. Not a quick fix.
My suggestion is to revert back to old wc http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/developers/
Click on 2.0.20 and revert to old woocommerce version until themeforest approved our fixed
You’ll be notified via email
thank you so much!
I just updated to WooCommerce 2.1 and the ecommerce CSS built into HumbleShop no longer functions, even after disabling WooCommerce CSS in the backend. The calculate shipping and variable products functions all also had issues. When will there be updated theme files for these major issues?
Read this to learn more: http://develop.woothemes.com/woocommerce/2014/02/solving-common-issues-after-updating-to-woocommerce-2-1/#disable-css
You definitely need to update theme for WooCommerce 2.1. There are a number of issues.
Thanks – When do you expect the updated theme to be complete?
We almost done, maybe late by end of this week.
Im getting a stange error after installing the theme, the product categories and product pages are full width and done seem toi have the same class=”container” applied, instead it has id=”container”. Also, the tabs on the products page for the description and reviews have wonky styling.
Not sure why this is happening. Please help,
Hi. I have looked all over and I am having a hard time with woocommerce. I am missing pages and can’t find how to disable the wooc css. Please help
NM Uploading the older Woo as per other posts
Hi, sorry but i love yout theme, but got several problems with ist.
1. when i turn the debugging on i get:
Strict Standards: Declaration of My_Walker_Nav_Menu::start_lvl() should be compatible with Walker::start_lvl(&$output, $depth = 0, $args = Array) in /var/www/web51/htdocs/shop/wp-content/themes/humbleshop/functions.php on line 261
Notice: Woocommerce->template_url wurde mit einem Parameter oder Argument aufgerufen, der seit Version 2.1 veraltet ist! WC_TEMPLATE_PATH constant in /var/www/web51/htdocs/shop/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3006
Only notices but i think you should know it.
2) I don’t know why, but when you take a quick look in the cart. I think the theme-file isn’t used. There are different css-classes missing.
So far i have deleted the Theme and the Modules, and reinstall it.
Here’s the Domain: http://shop.simloc.de
Excuse me for my bad english.
Yes you site look different. May I know what’s your version for
It’s easier for us to trace the problem. Best if you could email us your login and let us go in and check for you
Jep, no problem. Woocommerce 2.1, WP 3.8.1
Humbleshop theme version?
We just updating latest version which is 2.9. Just waiting for themeforest to approve. Btw woocommerce updating their plugin every single day now. If im not mistaken latest is 2.1.2 so we need to release our update frequent as well. You’ll be notified once theme approve.
I have this theme and it keeps crashing on mobile devices. I have tried both in chrome and safari the website is here shopblossomboutique.com and it happens when I go to new arrivals and select any product at all. Any help with this would be extremely helpful!
Hi there, Im not sure whether it’s related to your internet conn or something. But so far we tested your shop from our mobile, it’s fine..
It keeps happening when I go to new arrivals and try to open a project.
Have not touched anything in the site or looked at it for around two weeks. Just visited the page http://makeyourown.net.au/ today and find that the main content area formatting has gone wrong. The width of the content area has stretched across the page and the background which was originally white has gone and now the main background image shows.
Can you please advise.
Nick @ Webulosity
That caused by Woocommerce updates. Pls reupload Humbleshop latest version from Themeforest
Thanks for your response – problem now is that uploaded ZIP is creating an error which says the file failed to install because it is missing the style.css file as below..
‘Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.’
Pls unzip the main zip and reupload humbleshop.zip from one of files you extracted from main zip
Have tried that however am now getting this error: ‘Destination folder already exists. /home/makeyour/public_html/wp-content/themes/humbleshop/
Theme install failed.
Because already exist. rename old humbleshop folder to something else, and reupload
Thanks – that worked.
I want to make the product description full width rather than 1/2 the page with. What the best method? thanks
Best way is to play with the hook. Open functions.php and search for woocommerce and see how humbleshop reorder the hook. But make sure you backup original functions.php before editing.
You can check on this for hook details http://docs.woothemes.com/document/hooks/
