Via a query from a customer I have just found an issue flagged up by jquery migrate – the error is this: /themes/parallelus-incentive/extensions/post-formats/js/admin.js: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated

Thanks for your swift reply. I’ve just found something else that’s weird – when I switch jquery migrate on – I lose all the functionality in the posts, eg add media, the toggle between text and visual, everything. When I switch it on all the buttons are working. However, when i switch it on, I lose revolution slider and other wp bakery functionality in the frontend – I’m not sure why that would be.

I have hidden the full path in my server in the above message, of course.

Generally speaking my site is working fine, except when I update a page/post that uses the grid view, as soon as I click the “update” button I’m taken to the a page that tells me my site has a critical error and then I would get the same email notification again. The page/post in question actually got saved but the error message keeps coming up whenever I edit that page/post. There are a number of pages that uses the grid view so obviously this is a bit troublesome.

What is wrong with the grid.php?

I think this error—Call to undefined function vt_resize()—cropped up in our Help Center one or two times some years ago. If I recall correctly the error went away after reinstalling the theme.

I have a client that is using your theme version 1.1.6

I will need to update since there’s some issues with Visual Composer.

Before purchasing back a license, can you confirm that the theme update will run gracefully ?

If there’s any trouble, would you be able to assist?

I’m also not sure if modifications has been done inside the theme folder. If anything, would you be able to provide a copy of the 1.1.6 original theme to see if there’s any difference in the source.

I purchased a previous version of this theme which is having issues. When trying to install the updated version, I am getting the following error messages:

Hello – I’m thinking about purchasing but I need to site to be woocommerce ready. How does woocommerce pages look in this theme? Do you have an example?

Incentive will work with WooCommerce, but it is not “WooCommerce ready”, i.e. it doesn’t contain any special styling for WooCommerce elements and pages.

This is my first request for help in years but even though I renewed support, can’t get into your section to report a problem. So, I’m stuck with using this section to ask for help The Incentive theme suddenly stopped working and displays a white screen on the site. Other themes work, but not yours. I did not upgrade or try to upgrade the theme, it just stopped working. Would appreciate your help.

I just checked our Help Center account for the ‘eswyt’ username and I was able to access the Incentive group with no problems. Please give it another try.

Hi, I am trying to update the theme (wordpress is also updated), and I keep getting a fatal error with the theme file “extensions/plugin-installer/plugins/js_composer-custom.php”on line 148. How do I fix this?

Try manually deleting the WPBakery Page Builder plugin (formerly Visual Composer) and then let the theme install it again.

What a joke. I pay $79 for this theme and then coz situations change i can’t use it. Fast forward and i now have a site to use it on so i install it on a brand new wordpress install on a sever that has had 30 wordpress sites on it with no issues and it throws up a fatal error that someone who knows the theme could probably tell me how to fix in 3 minutes.

So i sign up to the forums to ask and i get rejected coz my support ran our that i never used once and you want $58 to renew support before i can get it fixed!

That’s a total joke! It will be cheaper for me to buy any number of premium themes more highly rated than this one that didn’t work when others did.’

You may say this is Envatos rules but you agreed to them where other devs refused to agree to something that treats their customers like total s**t so that makes you just as greedy as they are and showing just as much lack of care for your clients as they do.

In fact I’m not sure it is even legal under Australian Law but maybe we should find out?

No other Incentive user has reported any issues with the theme. You purchased this theme almost three years ago so make sure you are using the latest version. You don’t need a support license to download the latest version, that is always available to you in your ThemeForest downloads area.

Dear Parallelus Incentive Support! Now I have to be the content-manager for site with Parallelus Incentive ver. 1.2.2. After the update WordPress (now is ver. 4.7.2, but trouble could happen earlier) the VisualComposer don’t work, and I can’t create or edit any posts and pages. Status of Visual Composer – “installed and activated”. Can you guarantee the newest version of the Parallelus Incentive fix this trouble? Well… I didn’t any changes for Parallelus Incentive THEME files, but I changed main page, menu, etc. Will my changes save after update theme from ver. 1.2.2 to newerest? Best regards.

As I’m sure you are aware, there is a Vulnerability in WP Bakery Visual Composer.

We’ve downloaded the most recent version, but uninstalling/removing the old version and installing the new version throws an error with this theme:

Fatal error: Wrong vc_map object. Base attribute is required in …../helpers_api.php on line 9

It sounds like the plugin is built into your theme – do you have instructions for only updating VC?

We cannot post this in your “help center” b/c our support ran out. We do not feel we need to purchase support for something that is broken on your end. Please advise.

The problem is you’re using a very old version of the theme. Delete the plugin and reinstall the latest version of the theme. It will reinstall the plugin automatically.

Not if you reinstall the theme the recommended way, i.e. use FTP to delete the existing ‘parallelus-incentive’ theme folder on your server and then upload the new ‘parallelus-incentive’ theme folder from your computer to your server.

Does anyone have suggestions for how I create a different post.title font for a specific category? I’ve tried everything I can and am unable to change the font for items that appear in only one category. I think Visual Basic Composer used with Incentive is making it impossible to change post title fonts but would really like to do this but only for one category. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When will an update for Visual Composer 4.11.2 be included with this theme? I updated to WP 4.5 now VC 4.9.1 is broken and stuck at loading. I can’t edit my site. Gone are the days when WP just worked! It’s all a game of paying for support and wasting many hours of productivity troubleshooting issues.

Pre-Sales question: Can I implement Disqus commenting vs. built- in theme commenting with this theme AND/OR the Moxie theme? Thanks!

I haven’t personally used a Disqus plugin with either theme, but I’ve never received any support requests and I’m sure there are sites built with both themes that make use of Disqus. It would surprise me if there were not, considering the popularity of that platform.

There is no reason it shouldn’t work. We use the standard WP comment functions and following best practices recommended by WP so it should work just fine.

Thanks, author! That’s my guess but wanted to make sure. I did implement Disqus on Salutation theme, but that was 2-3 years ago. Surprising that no one in Parallelus-world has used it. It’s super-popular, like you say. Half the sites I visit use it, it seems. I’ll let you know! :))

Hi, Need a little support here. At the Blog page, excerpts are shown, I want to show the hyper-links too as they are written in the post.

We created the post (EG – http://mmbakre.com/how-e-mail-entered-and-is-exiting-our-life/) and some content here had a link, however on the blog page “http://mmbakre.com/blog/” the links are disabled.

Kindly provide a solution.
