Lovely Theme , GLWS
Awesome Theme , GLWS
Thank you, Shameerurdu!
Awesome job, I like it so much. Good luck
Wow! Clean and Simple Design.
Thank you, Tam!
Good Job!Good luck!
1. Can I change the style of animation on the home slider? (I want it to be really simple, without all of that animation you see with the text/icons).
2. Can I change the rollover behaviors on the home slider link? For example, on slide 3, “support forum” is white, and “purchase theme” is black. Can I change those, and can I make some behavior for the rollover? Or would that fall under customization?
3. Fonts. I don’t know about Icon Font. Is Google Web Fonts, or any other web font kit, supported?
thank you for expressing interest in my work!
I’ll go over your questions in the same order:
1). Sure, the slider is quite flexible in terms of various styling, transitions and other settings. For the reference, you can take a look at the slider’s preview page accessible from here. This is the slider that is the basis for the one built into the theme
2). The “buttons” in the demo are simply images, this is why they do not change behaviour on hover. There are “native” buttons that can be inserted from within the slider editor, yet they are slightly different in styling (with shadow, background color, and rounded edges). They do change on mouse hover. In case you’d like these buttons to look like the images from the demo, just ask me, I can provide you with the code (planning to include it into Kanso 1.1 in any case).
3). Kanso supports Google Fonts – you can set any of the 600+ GFonts for the body text, the headings, and the menu (each separately) from the Theme Options panel.

Wonderful , congrats!Kind Regards,Bedros
Hey Bedros! Thank you for the kind words!
Awesome theme, I really love it, also will buy it. Same presale question:
and why are the social icons (header) on a second row (on ipad/iphone), it has enough space for them to be on the same line as the navigation.
Regarding your questions, in the same order:
1). Sure, the slider is rather flexible in terms of various styling, transitions and other settings. In order to get a picture of its possibilities, you can take a look at the slider’s preview page accessible from here (click on the “Preview” button). This is the slider that is the basis for the one built into the theme.
2). The header social icons are given a separate row on mobile screens because the main menu can have a varying number of items – in case there are much more of them than in the demo, the social icons would not overlap (in themes, it is better to account for extreme situations, since different users may have differing needs and goals). In case you’d want the social icons to be on the same line as the menu on smaller screens, it is possible to achieve with a couple of lines of CSS code (can provide if needed, just post a topic on my support forum).
Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Nice – a few questions please
1) Can the height of the slider be altered?
2) How does this theme look in IE8 (IE7 at a push)
3) Does it have to be 1 page?
4) Is there a page builder type function for the sections?
5) Does it come with dummy data as per the demo
That’s it fro now
I will go over your questions in the same order:
1). Yes – the slider height can be fixed, be equal to the screen height (full-screen slider mode), or stretch vertically offsetting a certain element (e.g. from the bottom of the header to the bottom of the screen).
2). The theme has not been explicitly tested with IE8 at the moment (IE8 support is not required on ThemeForest), yet in case any compatibility issue or error is spotted, I will of course fix it.
3). Not necessarily – as mentioned on the theme’s page, Kanso can also be used in the standard multi-page mode. You can view the demo here.
4). Kanso does not include a page builder (although one can easily install any of the existing ones, e.g. Mixey’s Visual Composer). The theme does offer more than 30 built-in shortcodes which provide a flexible and modular way of inserting various layout and styling elements, including (but not limited to) buttons, columns, tabs, labels, etc.
5). Yes, the items includes dummy data for both versions of the theme (one-page and multi-page), found in the “Resources” folder of the main archive; if also contains an importable dummy slider, identical to the one seen in the theme demo.
can I change the background into another colour in Kanso?
Dorothee, from holland
Yes, it is possible to change the background of the website from the theme options panel; there are three options: a solid color fill (chosen via an easy-to-use visual colorpicker), a texture, or a background image. All of that can be done in the “Page Elements” tab of the Theme Options panel.
Moreover, Kanso also offers a possibility to change the background of any page individually – this can be done via the “Page Settings” box in the page editor view. You can see examples of differently coloured pages in the Kanso demo. You can also set a color fill, a texture, or an image, the latter can be set to act as a parallax background, i.e. scrolling differently from the rest of the website, thus creating a subtle depth effect.

Great Theme and Great Support!!
Asked a question and within 48 hours had a response, and not only that, the Hero’s of satori also made me some custom files to solve the problem.
If ur looking for a good single page template, Kanso is the way to go:delicious:
Nice Theme! a few questions please.
I’m looking the theme with Firerox and there are two images that not appear, as the map and front-page-background-image-13.jpg. However if viewed in Safari all is perfect. What does not work with Firefox?
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
You’re right, it is a bug related to the parallax effect code (technically, Firefox does not seem to treat the jquery offset on ‘body’ element the same as Chrome and others). I’ve corrected the code, please download this file from my repository, unzip it, and upload into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Kanso/), replacing the existing file. After that refresh the website. Please let me know if it helps!
Hi, I purchased this theme and I love it, except I cannot for the life of me figure out how to activate widgets for the footer (I’m using the one-page version). Any help is appreciated.
I should add, there is no footer sidebar, I tried creating one under custom sidebars, that did not work. I think it might be a bug?
The issue you are describing hasn’t been reported before, and I cannot seem to be able to reproduce it on my machine. I will need to see the code in order to troubleshoot – could you please send me the website’s URL, as well as admin login and password, to email@example.com (no-disclosure guaranteed).
Hi, just a quick question.
You have written: ‘Custom menu | Kanso has one pre-set menu area which supports second- and third-level submenus.’
Does this mean, that second- and third-level submenus will appear as a Drop-Down-List when hovering over the menu item in the main menu?
Indeed – the submenus appear as drop-downs from the parent menu items, yet it must be noted that the submenus can only be used in the multi-page mode of the theme (see the multi-page demo for Kanso) and not in the one-page mode, where clicking on the menu items makes the page scroll to the corresponding section of the same page.
Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to ask!
Hey Andrii, got it. Thanks!
Is it possible to put a video on the slide?
Yes, Kanso’s slider allows inserting video layers into slides; first, one needs to create a transparent slide, and then insert a new video layer, which can be sourced from YouTube, Vimeo, or a self-hosted HTML5 video.
I’m making my web and I want to add photos to the slide. I copied the resources folder on the ftp, themes>kanso theme. I edited the photo slide and imported one picture beacause I think thant it’s the option to upload the picture in Revolution slider options, right?. I need something more? bescause in my web appears “No slides found, please add some slides” and there isn’t picture.
I can not access to the section Custom Sidebars. There is a section to edit it but I can’t acces.
before we proceed, I will need to ask for your purchase code for verification purposes; this is a standard procedure for every user of the themes and is meant to counter illicit copying. Please log into your ThemeForest account and go to your “Downloads” page. Locate the theme you purchased in your “Downloads” list and click on the “License Certificate” link next to the download link. After you have downloaded the certificate you can open it in a text editor such as Notepad and copy the Item Purchase Code.
Thanks for your patience!
Andrii / Satori Studio
I’m a web designer but my client is the one who bought the template. I have asked them and the Item Purchase code is f08ddc70-82e8-4da0-8dcd-eb888bb666bf.
thank you for verifying!
I will go over the questions in the same order:
1). Have you imported the slider included with the theme by using the “Import Slider” green button in the right corner of the “Revolution Slider” admin menu? While in the “Revolution Slider” admin menu, could you please click on the blue “Edit Slides” button next to the slider you’re inserting – does it show existing slides?
2). Could you please clarify: if the “Appearance -> Custom Sidebars” page not accessible altogether, or some part of it? Thanks!
Andrii / Satori Studio
1) I have a Kanso_demo_frontslider folder. With the green button, have I to import the entire folder or a specific file?
In the blue buttom “Edit slides” says “No Slides Found ”.
2) In Appearance-> Custom Sidebars, I put the button and do not see anything, is empty.
3) Also in the Widgets, sidebar and footer appear but not let me touch anything, add or remove or move. Seems to not work.
1). When importing a slider with the green “import slider” button, please point to the archive named “Kanso_demo_frontslider.zip” which is located inside the “Resources” folder of the main ThemeForest package (i.e. the “Kanso_WP_Theme_Package” folder).
2 and 3). Please try updating the theme to the latest version (1.2.1), if you are running an earlier one, and see if the sidebars and widgets start acting properly. Please let me know of the results.
Thanks for everything Andrri.
Sliders are ok!
Sidebars and widgets not run and I have 1.2.1 version. I send you a mail access to my web to (firstname.lastname@example.org ) so that you can check.
I’m having an issue with the blog posts where the image is showing up pixated.
Getting this with images set as featured image in the blog post template as well as single post template.
Could you please provide the URL of your website, I’d need to look at the code to provide detailed guidance. Thanks!
First of all, thanks for this great theme i really love working with it!
Since i wanted to use a front slider (directly under the menu) i imported the slider from the demo, that way everything was already setup and i just have to change the content …
All went fine, instead of this one thing > when i edit the slides, write a text on a layer and choose the KANSO style everything looks good. But on the slider on the website the text does not display as it should > the KANSO style is not applied …
Can you point out what i did wrong?
you can check the slider on the website i am working on >>> http://www.kinelisp.be
Andrii >>> no worries, i maybe was a bit impatient: after reloading the browser several times the correct style was loaded …
Thanks anyway & have a nice day!
Glad to hear that the slider issue has been resolved. Should you have other questions or issues, do not hesitate to contact me – either here or on my support forums.
I love the theme, but i have 4 questions:
1. Its possible to have a related project in images on every portfolio page?
2. Its possible to put on portfolio page a navigation to the next and previous portfolio page?
3. On the portfolio http://satoristudio.net/kanso/portfolio/ its easy to put the filters?
4. and the pagination method its classic our use the load more?
1). There is no “related posts” functionality built into Kanso, yet you can use any of the available third-party plugins for that, e.g. this one.
2). Previous and new posts links are not included with the theme, yet one can use a plugin or add some custom code as explained here.
3). You would need to edit one of the theme files, namely add the filter code from the “page_one-page.php” template file into the “page_portfolio.php” file.
4). Kanso features a classing numbered pagination (example in the demo).
Should you require further clarifications or have other questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
