I just have a quick question …
I would like to add an element on my home page and not sure how?
I added a member login box on the left side using a code and now I have a ton of white space on the right. I would like to add an opt in lead generator box/form to fill the space. How do I add that?
To better understand my question please visit my site at www.concreteandiron.com and view my home page.
Thanks so much for sending over the look.
At first glance it looks like the easiest solution is to use the [one_half] column shortcodes. This will enable you to easily add content side-by-side.
Simply Open up your homepage and modify the “Members Area Login form” to something like this:
...member area code here...
...opt-in lead-gen code here...

Thanks so much
Since I installed karma
Complaints started coming to me that people get an error
I uploaded the screenshot of the message
I’d love to get help

I did it – wait for answer – 10xs
You’re theme is very clear and well structured. I especially like the possibility to choose between a primary and secondary color scheme, that’s exactly what I need for a certain project. I missed some extra icons to give a bit more life to the page styles. But all in all I’m very happy with Karma
Thanks so much for your feedback my friend. We’re so very pleased to hear that you’re enjoying the Karma theme.
I just purchased this theme and when I try to install it in WordPress I’m getting a 500 – Internal server error. I am unable to install this theme….saying there is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
Sure thing my friend. We’re very happy to assist.
A 500 error could be caused by a variety of items. Here are some helpful tips that may resolve the issue:
- A faulty plugin installed on the site could be the cause. Try to temporarily disable all plugins and re-install the theme.
- This could be caused by trying to install the full download package rather than the theme itself. Please check out this article on our HelpDesk for more details: http://bit.ly/UCnnx6
If none of the above items resolve the issue please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can gladly take a closer look behind the scenes of your website and help you to resolve.
May I know if I can easily style a page into 3 columns of posts, with thumbnail, title and description?
Thanks so much for your Karma interest my friend.
Yes this type of layout is indeed possible.
You can use Karma’s built-in “latest posts shortcode” which can be setup to display in 3 column and will display the featured image, title, and short description of the blog post.
Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist.
Hello, here to report that my site is hotlinking a reddit.png from your website, and the link is broken.
I cannot seem to find this file in my theme directory anywhere.
Also: When you gonna remove timthumb?
Thanks so much for posting this my friend. We’ve just noticed small bug in the file for reddit icon. We’ve updated the file to correct the issue.
Follow these steps for easy fixing:
- Download the updated file below (right-click on the link and choose “Save Link As”
- Drop the newly download file into your theme. (located within /Karma/truethemes_framework/js/
- That’s it. Everything will be all good to go. (we’ll include this fix in the next update so no worries on losing this during an upgrade)
Download new file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7008416/jquery.prettySociable.js
As per TimThumb script, Karma has 2 methods of re-sizing images. One is TimThumb and the other is built-in Wordpress resizing engine. Wordpress engine is the default method and TimThumb will only get activated if an image is located outside of the Wordpress Media Uploads section. To avoid TimThumb simply upload all images via Wordpress’ default Media section.
Should you require any assistance with any of the items above we are very happy to assist you. Please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can gladly assist you further.
Thanks for the info!
So a quick question.
Why are the links still hotlinked to the truethemes amazon cdn?
Won’t this interfere with https? Because these are linked without the https in the url?
I’m really just trying to understand what’s going on here.
Sure thing my friend.
The logos within prettySociable are required to be hard-coded into the script and since we are unable to pass PHP variables to this script (for in-theme image linking) we host the images on our amazon server to make things nice and smooth all around.
The image files are not required to be hosted on https and everything runs nice and smoothly with it’s current setup.
If you’re interested you can indeed host the social logos on your own web server and modify the prettySociable script to point to these newly located logos. We’re very happy to provide direction if you need our assistance. Please simply submit your request as a ticket on our secure HelpDesk and our dedicated support team can gladly assist you further.
Have one question, if i want to add some language buttons or scroll in this site, how i will do it?
We’re very happy to assist you my friend.
There are a few options for multilingual site-translation.
The comprehensive and more ‘professional’ solution is achieved via the WPML Plugin: http://wpml.org
WPML is a very powerful plugin that enables you to provide translated text for every part of your website. Please note however that WPML does require you to provide the translated text. This is the most accurate and professional method of translating a website.
Another great and much quicker/easier option is by using the Google Wordpress Translator Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-translator/
Google Translate is an awesome service that enables you to begin translating your website within minutes. The only downside is that Google uses “machine translation” which means that things like grammar, proper language may not always be rendered correctly during a translation.
Both great options. Just depends on your desired needs.
Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to assist.
Im interested only in button on website. All teksts i write by myself. How to add button on site corectly in right or left corner, that users can change site language for example: ru,lt,ch,lv
Yes the button you speak of can be added via the plugins mentioned above.
Since you’ll be converting the text yourself it sounds like WPML will be a great plugin option for you.
Here’s an example of the Language Dropdown List that can be added via the WPML Plugin: http://freebiesdesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/wordpress-language-plugin-1.jpg
Please feel free to give us a shout with any further questions.
Thank you so much!
BUT , i don’t need translate plugin!
I’m only want to now, “How add language button on site” !!!
explain Step by step if u can..
WPML Plugin, not free… presently i can’t pay for it.
Hi my friend,
Our sincere apologies but we seem to be confused by your request.
You do not want to use a translation plugin but you want to add language flags to your website? Will these language flags links to translated versions of your website? If yes, then there is no way around using a language translation plugin within the wordpress platform.
Perhaps you can provide a URL to a website which has similar functionality that you are looking to achieve? This will help us to better determine your request and provide more valuable feedback. Please post URL if you have.
You do not want to use a translation plugin but you want to add language flags to your website? – YES
Will these language flags links to translated versions of your website? – YES
Thanks so much
Thanks so much for providing the demo link.
As per your requirements a multilingual plugin sounds like the best option. Otherwise without a plugin there would need to be 3 totally separate websites (one for each language) and the language flags would link to those separate websites.
All Wordpress content is stored in a Database and when a user accesses a page the database content gets pulled into that page template on-the-fly. A Multilingual plugin will work by adding additional content into the database and when a user clicks on ie “French” flag, the french content from the database will be pulled into that page template.
We hope this information is helpful my friend.
Thanks so much for your interest in Karma.
As per your questions:
i. Yes Karma comes packed with free Child Theme.
ii. Yes Karma has a built-in “Custom CSS” field in it’s Site Options Panel for easy addition of CSS code.
iii. Yes. The demo content provided is a slightly watered-down version of the live demo site. All sliders, page templates, etc. are in tact. We’re very happy to assist should you run into any questions regarding your website setup.
iv. Our average response time is very quick. Generally within only a couple of hours. As a TrueThemes customer you will have full access to our industry-leading (SSL) secure HelpDesk:

How can fix it???
Please see this FAQ on our HelpDesk for full quick solution to this question: https://support.truethemes.net/?faq=testimonial-slider
There is no question that this is a great theme, however I am encountering a problem. When I try to create a menu via Appearance > Menus, it says that the menu is successfully created however the names of the menus I have created are not shown at the top therefore I am unable to add pages to those menus. However if I try to create a menu of the same name it says that a menu of that name has already been made.
Hmm sounds strange. We’re very happy to investigate further and help you resolve.
Please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can take a closer look behind the scenes of your website and gladly provide solution.
Just a quick note to say how impressed I am with both this theme and also the support I’ve received from Truethemes. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much my friend! We’re so glad you’re happy with our services. It is our absolute pleasure serving you.
I have the new Karma version installed, however if I need to update the settings and appearance the theme does not all me and says bad 404 response….i would have to activate the old version of Karma to make the updates….this dies not allow me to activate the responsive option as the old version does not have that feature…so I’m not sure if mobile viewing is active right now…..perhaps there’s a bug that needs fixing here, any feedback would be greatly appreciated thanks Julian
Sure thing Julian, we’re very happy to assist.

hello, I need help with the theme, install it and I get moved up logo and the menu is loaded right the problem is mainly in internet explorer … can you help?
my site is brillauto.mx
At first glance it looks like the issue is caused by the size of the logo.
The logo itself is quite small however the image file is quite large with a lot of empty space (logo is currently: 850×99 pixels)
We’ve went ahead and re-sized your image logo file for you. We’ve stripped out the empty space and you should now be all good to go. (new dimensions are 211×83 pixels)
You can grab the updated file using the following link (simply right-click on link and choose “Save Link As”): http://s3.truethemes.net/helpdesk/brillauto-logo.png
After you’ve downloaded the new logo simply replace the existing logo on your website and you should be all good to go.

thanks for your reply, I did what I was asked and appears to the right size but loaded on the left, would like to know where the code to tell it to load at center? and likewise the menu Remain in the center
Centering the logo is not built into the Karma theme by default however we’ve got a great article on our HelpDesk outlining instructions: https://support.truethemes.net/?knowledgebase=center-logo-and-main-navigation-karma-theme

It's working the compatibility with WPML?
About two months ago you indicated that you believed that it would working in to 2 or 3 weeks. How's this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Sure thing my friend,
We’ve actually just submitted the WPML Karma update earlier today. Files are generally posted by ThemeForest within 24-48 hours at which point everything will be all ready to rock-and-roll with WPML Plugin.
This is great news!
Thank you very much for your quick reply.
This is an awesome theme – no two ways about it! and a very happy customer.
I had a recent challenge with my own error of sorting the theme and i contacted the desk in a small panic and at parts was a little blunt. However they handled the situation like true professionals and calmly talked me through it all and never once reacted. Very rare to get such kind and respectful support, i feel sure that iv picked the right company to work with
Thanks so much Pablo! We truly appreciate your kind feedback.
Thank you so much for letting us serve you.
In the only video I could find to show how to install Karma Clean and Modern theme in WordPress, after the initial installation the video claims there is a demo folder in the zip file. No, not in the file I downloaded. So there is no “quick” method to understand how the theme is set up initially. Where can I find documentation, or where can I find the demo file to install in order to get the suggested xml file that does not exist in my zip file? I’d settle with getting a copy of the demo folder so that I can install that and work from the “dummy” pages installed. But I’m chasing my tail trying to understand how the slider works, and why none of the images were uploaded to the library where they belong – instead, they are sitting in their original files and the theme has no idea how to link to them.
Sure thing my friend – we’re very happy to assist.
- After purchasing the files from ThemeForest you will receive a ZIP file named “Karma-Theme-Package.zip”. This ZIP package contains everything you’ll need.
- The Karma theme is located within the above ZIP package and is labeled “Karma.zip”
- The XML Demo content is also located in the above ZIP package within a folder labeled “1. Demo Content”.
- The Karma Training Videos can be viewed anytime online at: http://vimeopro.com/truethemes/karma-wordpress-theme
- If all of the items above sound completely foreign perhaps trying to re-download the Sterling ZIP package from ThemeForest will be a good option.

Hi! Me and a friend installed Wordpress on a local server (which is on a network with a proxy server), and as soon as we activated the theme we just couldn’t reach the admin panel anymore, it always timed out. At first we thought it was either the server or the database, but then we realized that it was actually the update notifier plugin on your theme that was causing them. As it tries to fetch the version information from a remote server, it uses cURL or file_get_contents directly, ignoring any proxy settings you might have set in wp-config, and causes these timeouts because the traffic gets blocked by the proxy. It might be easier to just use WP’s own HTTP class.
Excellent thanks so much for this info my friend. We’ll definitely pass this along to our development team.
