Hi everyone I am a beginner in WordPress, but I’d really like to write my own web page. I have a great template Karma :) What to do to use the Revolution Slider on my home page? Please describe step by step Thank you very much

Sure thing my friend. Please check out the “LayerSlider + Revolution Slider” Training video for complete details:

Cheers :)

Hello! Pagenavigation is not working at all at my site (woocommerce)

It displays two navi links on top on eachother on the woocommerce extension. Also one very bad thing that I’ve experienced is that it doesnt update if a user is international which is VERY frustrating.

I have International shipping and i have 2 flatrates (for domestic shipping). However, if a customer purchace an item, and goes straight to the checkout without visiting the cart, and picks their country, the shipping method is still domestic. When trying to proceed (if they dont understand the language and tris to proceed anyway) it says “Wrong shipment method” but it doesnt update.. which is causing international users to simply not buy anymore.

Hi There,

This sounds like these are default WooCommerce settings however we’re very happy to take a closer look and help out with a solution.

this template very good but when validate it from i get a lot of mistake for html and css is there a solution for this

Yes sure thing my friend.

Karma’s been tested against W3C validator tool and everything in the default theme should be validating nicely.

There may however be cases where 3rd-party plugins have not been built with as much awesomeness as Karma and these plugins may throw back validation errors. (ie. Revolution Slider, LayerSlider, etc.)

We’re very happy to take a closer peak at any pages on your website that are coming back with W3C errors and gladly provide our feedback.

Please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that we can gather some more details and gladly provide assistance.

Hello, I am planning to combine in my page ‘posts, videos and quotes’. I think that the ‘Testimonials Slider’ can be used for the quotes. My question is if I can place the Testimonial ‘boxes’ wherever I want (and as many as I want) or they can just be placed at the bottom of the page. The second question is: Can I make the size of the font inside these boxes bigger? Thanks!

Hi There,

Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme my friend.

Yes the testimonial sliders are unlimited and can be added anywhere throughout the website. These are added with a single mouse click via Karma’s Shortcodes.

The text can be modified by adding a small bit of CSS to Karma’s Site Options Panel. The CSS will look like the following and can be adusted to suit desired size:

.testimonials blockquote p,
.testimonials_static p {
font-size: 14px;

Please feel free to give us a shout if we can be of any further assistance.

Cheers :)

Hi there—Love your theme!!

One question was that I would like to change where the crop of images takes place…right now it centers on the image and then crops.

I’d like to have it start from the top and then crop and resize down from there.

You can see that my portfolio pages looks a little silly with all the images cropped in the center. Can you give me some advice? And I am php hacker so I should be able to follow whatever you lay down.

Awesome stuff my friend – we’re so glad you’re enjoying the Karma theme.

Karma’s got 2 methods of image-resizing built into the theme. The first method is TimThumb-PHP which only gets ‘activated’ when an image is being called from an outside location (ie a different web server)

The second re-sizing is a fork on Wordpres’ native PHP resizing functionality. We’ve not done much in the line of changing the cropping locations however you are very free to play around with this file which is located within the Karma theme here: /Karma/framework/truethemes/image-thumbs.php (browse to line 62 in the code)

Hope this is helpful for you. Have a wonderful weekend.

Cheers :)

Wonderful! I was about to start hacking and then saw that the code did eventually rely on native WP resizing and decided to try this plugin: and everything looks awesome!

Many thanks…love the updated theme with responsive design, gorgeous icons, and just general awesomeness…

Thanks, Matt

Awesome stuff Matt! So glad that plugin worked out nicely. Thanks for sharing the link with us!

Cheers :)

Next great update, it is pleasure watching how this theme is developed :)

Regards Raf

Thanks so much Raf :)

I miss the 3dCUer examples, where can i download them? They should be in the package?

Kind regards, Vincent

Sure thing Vincent.

When downloading the Karma theme here on ThemeForest please ensure to choose the “All Files & Documentation” option.

Once downloaded you will recieve the entire download package which includes the sample slider files.

Kindly check out the “3D CU3ER Slider” video for complete details on locating the files and setting up a CU3ER Slider:

Hi, how do I get the menu to look like in your example site?

I bought ubermenu, but it still doesn’t look like yours.

Finally managed to work out how to do it, only took me all night! Turns out I had to just mess around with UberMenu “Style Generator” to get the look I wanted.

The only thing I can’t work out how to change is the font size for the menu. I’ve tried changing all the settings I can find in both the UberMenu and Site Options area, nothing is working.

If I change “Description Font Size” in UberMenu the description font size changes, so I’m not sure what is wrong.

Is there anyway to remove logo from showing? At the moment there is a link back to my homepage showing where logo would normally be.

Awesome stuff my friend. We try our best to take weekends off so apologies we didn’t come back sooner with a solution. We started dabbling in some UberMenu options so it’s possible we’ve already got the solution for your inquiry.

If you don’t mind, please kindly submit a Ticket on our HelpDesk outlining your website’s URL so we can see everything in action and provide the code necessary for the font-size change.

Hi. If I purchase this theme. Can I use it on two different domains that I own and use myself?

Hi There,

Yes you can indeed use Karma on multiple websites however each website will require it’s own license. Simply purchase Karma each time you’d like to use it for a website and all will be well.

Thanks so much – we look forward to working with you.

Cheers :)

Love this Karma theme – and love you guys. Every time I need help, you guys are right there—and, most importantly, you have the answers, you get it done. So appreciate it. And, again, the theme looks great too; my client is very pleased.

You are so very welcome! Thank you so much for your kind words! We love serving you!

Cheers :)

Were you eating in the tutorial videos?

So frustratingly annoying.

Hi There,

Certainly not eating in the videos. I was coming down with a small cold at the time so that is likely what you’re hearing?

“The upcoming Karma 4.0 (which is weeks late on launch) has an all new Google Map Contact Page with Full Width Google Map. We’re just waiting on 3rd-party vendor for extensive mobile testing and optimization on Karma 4.0 and we’ll be submitting the second we get the green light to go.”

Hi there. You mentioned to one user that V4.0 will have a google map page, but having just downloaded 4.0 I cannot seem to find it anywhere…Where might I locate it? Thank you

never mind….found it!

great stuff, cheers :)

i was just wondering if the karma theme complies with WC3

Thank you

Is Karma Contact Form 7 compatible?

Hi guys,

Is ‘Toolbar – Left Side’ ONLY for the menu? No matter what I try it wont show any other widgets?

Yes the Toolbar – Left side can also accept widgets.

If widgets are not displaying it is likely that a menu has already been defined to this location.

Here are the steps to “un-define” a menu at this location so that it can display widgets instead:

  • From WordPress Dashboard click on ‘Appearance > Menus’
  • Next Click the ‘Manage Locations’ tab at the top of the Menus page
  • Now next to ‘Top Toolbar Menu’ change the dropdown option back to empty which is ’- Select a menu -‘
  • Click ‘Save Changes’ and the top left toolbar can now accept widgets

Hope this helps :)

how did I missed it!

Now updated to Karma 4.0.1 from Karma 3… and just in SITE OPTIONS i get 403 Error when I try to save some changes. I made no changes in permission or server !

I get Error 403 and this text: “You don’t have permission to access /constructii/wp-admin/themes.php on this server.”

What should I do ?

Interesting one.

We’re very happy to help provide a solution :)

We’ll just need to gather some more details about the website including some temporary login details so that we can review the site, determine the error, and provide a solution.

I’m having a humdinger of a time trying to get the revolution slider to work on my homepage using shortcode, I keep getting the name slider not found. When I try to add it to other pages, it just doesn’t show up… On a different topic, what is the homepage slider that covers half of the top border?

Sure thing.

This can be achieved by inputting the CU3ER ID number into Karma’s custom input-field rather than adding the slider into the content area of the page.

Kindly check out the ‘3D CU3ER Slider’ video on this page for full details:

(you can skip to around 3 minutes in the video)

Hope this helps :)

Wow! Thank you for your incredibly prompt assistance!! One more q if you don’t mind…What are the box dimensions of the one third image frame, and would it be possible to change the colouring of the frame (probably the global-sprite image?? Oops…I guess that was two questions…

You’re very welcome – our pleasure :)

- The image dimensions of a full-width, 3-column image is: 275×145

- The dimension of the image frame itself is: 293×179

- The 3 column image frames are located within global-sprite.png

The frame can indeed be modified however it does not come with an “editable image frame file” so would likely be most easily modified altering the frame’s hue, saturation, etc in Photoshop or Fireworks.

Hope this helps :)

Does anyone have a work around for youtube videos? Problem: When I use the ”?rel=0” (Used to remove the related videos that would pop-up after the embedded video plays)

I notice that this will not work in the shortcode or the “Featured Video” in the sliders.

Anyone else? Thank you

Hi There,

Can you kindly post the YouTube URL string so we can do some testing?

Thanks so much

Cheers :)

Not too complain here but….

I have installed Karma 4.01 on a brand new install and a new URL as well. Followed the directions to a “T” – The images and a few other items do not appear like they are supposed too.

I did it 100% along with the video. Then I deleted and did 4 more times just in case it was on my end.

The plugin – karma-theme-demo-content-generator (1.01) OR the Karma install does NOT work as pictured.

Again not complaining but it is a bit aggravating. If you think I am wrong I invite you to do it again JUST as displayed in the video.

Well OKJ – Mine worked as far is it had the menus and 99% of everything else. What it 100% did not have was the KARMA logo images that are to be in the spaces. So with the images not coming in I did not know if I was missing anything else. See screen shot here =>

Is it possible it is pulling in the images from somewhere else and you are not aware?

Thanks Gus

Hey Gus,

Thank you so much for posting the screenshot – it’s super helpful.

The placeholder Karma images get imported from our Secure Amazon S3 server.

It’s interesting that they did not get imported. This could of perhaps been a down Amazon server at the time or perhaps there was no available internet connection during the demo content import?

Either way, we’re super happy to hear things were 99% in place and we are here for you if you need us for anything else at all.

Cheers :)

I am so glad I am not insane. Thank you very much for your reply! (As for my end – Oh yea… Internet On)

I’ve been all around the TrueTheme help desk as to avoid browbeating these poor guys with questions but I can’t find out how to add the wee subtitles under the main menu headings. According to the help files, I should have a description area under each button but all I have is Navigation Label and Title Attribute, is there a new way of doing this? Thank you

Hi There,

Well thank you so much for browsing the HelpDesk in search of a solution before contacting us – you are absolutely awesome! :)

Kindly check out the video labeled ‘Menus’ and you’ll be in like flynn. (the solution comes right at the start of the video):

Cheers :)

There it is! Cheers eh!
