Great theme, and to reiterate, your videos are fantastically helpful!
Seems like a simple question, but didn’t see it in my digging, and I’m a bit of a newbie. How would I apply “image.jpg” as a background image? Thanks!

New question here, I have a problem with the blog page. Well, the page actually works great but I would like to change the page header (part with the title and breadcrumbs) in order to display something else than “Blog”. The title of the page I created is not Blog but still the title and breadcrumbs keep on saying “Blog”. I figured it must be for the template of the page (which, obviously, is blog), is there a way to change that?
Yes this is indeed possible to change.
sir how will i add the slideshow? i cant see it in the themes
Hi my friend,
Is the gallery a custom post type? I need a custom post type area…a portfolio where I can put images or videos and about 600 words. Then call a category for a portfolio page. A filtered portfolio page also. Does Karma do this?
If galleries are built without posts for each Image/video and text being called from posts, it won’t work for this.
Thanks so much for your interest in Karma. Unfortunately the portfolio is not a filterable section.
The portfolio posts themselves use regular wordpress posts. When adding a portfolio item you simply create the post and add it to a category of your choice. Then, when creating the portfolio page you simply choose which category you’d like to display on that page. Very much the same process as would occur if using custom post type.
I hope this information is helpful for you. Please feel free to give us a shout if you’ve got any further questions.
Is the website responsive so I can view it on ipad or my phone and it shows the same design (maybe with less design layout in monile mode) ?
Karma is not responsive but it will view the same on your mobile device. The entire website is still fully functional on a mobile device.
Please feel free to give us a shout if you’ve got any further questions.
Hi, my friend,
thanks you for the wonder theme!
there is one minor layout issue when i view my site in Opera browser. the fourth footer column is pushed to the next line. you can see it in this page http://www.rodriguezatlaw.com/
how to fix it?
Yes we’re very happy to have a closer look and help you to resolve.
Any idea / tips how to make the comments count compatible with disqus?
Apologies but we don’t have much experience working with the disqus plugin. Perhaps disqus comes with some developer documentation that can provide you with details about how to hook into the comment count?
Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
Cheers my friend
Im just wondering how I can extend the time limit on the testimonials slider? It is just a little to quick for what im doing.
We’re very happy to assist you my friend.
Hi. Can you please tell me if there is any particular mega menu plugin that you recommend for working well with this theme?
Hey my friend,
We’ve not worked with any mega menu plugins so we unfortunately do not have a recommendation. If there a few that you’re interested in please feel free to send over the links and we’ll be very happy to review and make a recommendation.
Thank you. Well, I’m still working with the theme set up and love it (thank you). If anyone is looking for a great and easy to design theme, I’d recommend this one, as you can see here:
I’m wondering if I really need a mega menu. I’ve been through most of the videos except the top tool bar. Do you think I need a mega menu. I want the website to have lots of categories coming off the home page. I mean probably 15-20 or more per item. Do you think your theme will handle that well or should I search for a mega menu? Thanks!!
Thanks so much for the kind words. We’re so glad you’re enjoying the theme so far. Your website is looking great so far!
15-20 sub-menu items per section sounds like quite a bit of items. The Karma menu can indeed handle this however we strongly suggest you to re-consider having this many navigation items.
Keeping your menu smaller will help to significantly increase the usability of your website. Having a complex and bloated menu system will make it much more difficult for users to interact with your website.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
Thank you. And thanks for the compliments. I would encourage anyone trying to make their site just to watch the videos, each one, and you will create an awesome site—no experience required.
Thank you for the feedback on my site. I guess my problem is that disorganized blog posts mean that people come to a site and don’t know what they are seeing, what was posted before, etc. So I guess I wanted to have something on the home page that was somewhat educational and organized about the law—you know what I mean? Like the basics of lawsuits, types of recovery available, but easily organized, kind of like an old fashioned table of contents for books. Blogs just don’t do this very well. I know they are searchable and have categories, but still. Do you think a mega menu plug in would have the same problems you are describing? What about boxes further down a home page with various links? Sorry if too many questions. I’m trying to make the website to end all websites.
No worries at all about the questions. It’s truly our pleasure to serve you.
The thing about the web is that users don’t “read” websites, they only “scan” them. Pay attention the next time your browsing the web and take note about how many web pages you actually read. Most web pages are only scanned looking for the info you’re after.
I think a large menu could be helpful if it’s treated correctly. The first thing that comes to mind is perhaps a “Top 5 Articles” section within your main menu which only lists the top 5 articles from your blog. This would be ‘easy to digest’ for users and it will also lead them to your blog section where they can find more articles via categories, etc in the sidebar.
I hope this might be helpful for you.
have a wonderful day.
I have to say I love this theme, but I am having a problem getting a vimeo video to play, it works perfectly with youtube videos. Is there anyone else having this issue and how can I fix it?
We’re so glad to hear that you’re enjoying the theme so far.
Vimeo videos should be working nicely.
We’re very happy to have a closer look behind the scenes and help to resolve the issue.
It’s really a great theme and so easy to work on. Many, many thanks!!!
You’re very welcome! Thanks so much for your kind words!
Hello, what file contains the BODY tag within Karma? I need to add php code right after the BODY tag of this theme in order to get a plugin to work properly.
Thanks so much!
Great Support, I had banged my head against the wall trying to figure out a problem I was having. Support here was GREAT ! Can’t say more about them.
I will be recommending their themes to all of my clients.
Currently I use Karma.
You are very welcome my friend! Thanks so much for your kind words!
Very nice, except that it loads somewhat slowly, even though images and scripts are not large.
Is there any chance a future update might implement the top two suggestions of Page Speed?
Thanks for considering!
Thanks so much for sharing the link.
Things like compression, combining files into a single file, etc are not possible with the commercial release of a wordpress theme. This is because we need to offer users ability to customize their website, turn things on or off, etc.
After installing the theme you can indeed install additional 3rd-party plugins which will compress files, etc.
I hope this information is helpful for you my friend.
I am working for an institute that is trying to find an interactive template website, I was wondering if you can answer a few questions:
How would we archive the digital documents on the website?
Would we be able to have a separate space for Associate Members within the site that would be accessible by logging in? How would this be done?
Would we be able to organize things for our conference online?
Is there a document sharing option? Could it serve as a collaborative space for researchers, team members and other community members? How?
Can we post videos, photos, audio/podcasts, twitter/news feeds on the site? How?
How would we use the site as an interactive space? Through a blog? How do we receive feedback/ communicate with users other than publishing static material on the site?
Thank you for your help!!
Hi there my friend,
Karma has very similar ‘bones’ as our Sterling Wordpress Theme. All answers to your questions for Sterling are also true for Karma.
Best of luck with everything my friend.
I just installed and bought the theme, and it already says that a new update is available for the theme, is that like an error or what is happening?
We’re very happy to log into your site and have a closer look at everything for you.
And the admin panel, when i say save settings, it does not apply it, what is wrong?
Please see our note below. Perhaps there is a server-related issue? We’ll help you get it all sorted away.
