Also: We are seeing problems with timthumb, because the host is blocking it. Are there any way of transitioning away from timthumb, or does the current theme still use it?

To quickly answer your question: Timthumb was removed after I believe version 4.0.3 due to it’s constant instability and no longer being supported. As a result, we removed it and replaced it with new alternatives.
There are a LOT of changes between version 4.0+ and 5.0+ and would recommend reading our change logs. Those prior to recent, will be found on our demonstration: http://www.kingsizetheme.com and those more recent will be found in the documentation file include in your download.

I just got the 5.1.11 version and I am having problem with the demo files. because when I install it into WordPress is not bringing the primary navigation menu with all the menus and description. Actually is bringing nothing at all just the name “primary navigation” that’s it. I was trying to contact support but there is a problem with your “gateway” website apparently
Yes, apparently are ticket system (through Ticksy) is experiencing issues due to their hosting company. We apologize for the inconveniences that may have caused you. If you can use our Profile, there’s a contact form on it, send us an email. We’ll send you a smaller version of the import file. Usually this is caused because of limitations on your hosting server – we can walk you through those changes by modifying your .htaccess or php.ini file, or attempt sending a smaller sized demo content.

Hello I have got problems in importing the demo files through the WordPress importer
I get this error message “The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.”
And another message by the WP system says “This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.”
It’s impossible to submit a ticket on OWM labs now, is down for maintenance, is there any other way to contact you in order to get some help to fix my issue?

With the latest version, the menu appearance doesn´t work some options as navigation bottom shape neither. It worked properly but after updated it is broken.
At this time I’m unaware of any bug issues with the navigation (at least none that have been reported). WooCommerce: While a few of our files do state they’re outdated versions, there are technically no issues. We will however be releasing an update soon that will address these and want to assure you that they do not hamper your functionality and use of the new features.
Visual Composer: This is delayed, I apologize, but as we’ve always encouraged our buyers, if there is an outdated version of Visual Composer and you’d like the updated version prior to it’s release (in our theme) than you can contact us via our support forms. We can provide you with it’s latest files.
We were hoping to have finished (this month) our big feature release, Version 6.0 but have encountered a few delays. If we cannot complete this within the next few days, we will be releasing a partial version update, version 5.1.12 that will include these mentioned updates, as well a few other minor additions and tweaks till 6.0 is stable for release.

I have Kingsize Installed in my website myebizventures.com.
It was working fine.
But I noticed a couple of days back 1) I could not hide the menu and 2) There are no background pics showing up on any page.
I have not changed any settings. I have a background Image set in the Theme Options area. What could be the bug here. I did nothing on the menu bar. Please help.

Unfortunately that is not something we have the capability of doing but renewing your support license is not the same cost as buying the theme, in fact, it’s quite cheaper. We did however already reply to your ticket and provided you with files and instructions.
As for the mention of ‘issues’ I just want to be clear here in the comment, as this is not an issue with our theme but rather a feature request you’ve made. I’d prefer buyers not thinking there are issues
The reason we did not upload it ourselves directly is because your provided login credentials didn’t work, but we’ve provided in our reply the files to complete it yourself.
I also believe that even though your support license has expired, you should still be able to see your ticket by logging into your account. You just cannot create new tickets until the license is renewed.

We’ve updated your ticket with a modified zipped folder that should work now. We had a slight oversight on a file that should have been included (functions.php). It’s now there so download and try again.
We do encourage you renew your support for further assistance though, as it’s the only place we’ll really offer our buyers theme support. We will however, as mentioned before, be including this in our next update, as we’re still finalizing some last features for version 6.0. We appreciate your patience and glad we could help with this.

Before publishing new pictures, I’d like to share them with my clients so they can approve one by one on my website and comment the pictures if I need to make some changes. Does this theme support this function?
Thanks for your interests in our theme.
You can share with your client password protected pages and then provide them (by email, or other means) the password to access that particular page. From there they can log in and view the private gallery images and if commenting is enabled, they can leave comments.
Alternatively, you can use a Membership plugin such as S2Member or similar and provide those clients with their own user-accounts. Then create the galleries and protect them based on that user-level/account.
Additionally, you can use Easy Digital Downloads to handle this with an outside-the-box approach.
It’s all definitely possible but does require third-party resources if going beyond the native password protected pages.

I cannot guarantee if our theme works with Polylang. Though I can confirm we’ve had a few buyers using it and have asked for advice regarding it in the past but aside from that, I’ve never tested it myself but did seem to be working for them.
Our theme is compatible with WPML however, but it is a premium Multilanguage plugin. It’s the only one I can confidently say (at this time) that our theme is compatible with.
Pre Purchase Questions:
1. In your demo under Portfolio -> Filtered Portfolio. Am I able to configure the theme not to show any headlines (e.g. “Scenery #7”) and no description below the image (e.g. “This is an example of a Photo Portfolio item. You can customize….”), as well as removing the “read more”-button? I just want to have the images and nothing else floating around when clicking the filters above.
If this is possible: How? Just leave those fields blank when creating the portfolio page?
2. How about pictures that are in portait format and not in landscape. How will they appear in that grid?
1. Yes, you can remove portfolio post titles and descriptions. These are optional (including the read more button). This would be part of the conditional elements within the shortcode explained in our documentation (and support will help if any questions).
2. Unfortunately at the moment, our theme is best suited for Landscape images but we are nearing the release of our next major feature version to be pushed out and that will include support for portrait images.

The theme does state it’s fully responsive in it’s details. As of version 5.0 our theme was released with a new framework using Zurb – Foundation responsive framework. So to answer your question, yes, our theme is fully responsive.
I know this is a repeated question, but I am using Buddypress with multisite so people can create their own subsites using the subdirectory method. Is the KingSize theme ok with this? Will people be able to use the KingSize theme on their subsite if I network enable it?
I apologize but we have not tested our theme with a multisite installation but have heard others whom have and it worked out. Though please keep in mind that using our theme on a multisite also requires multiple licenses – one thing most people often forget.
I should also note out the same thing regarding BuddyPress. Our theme was not made compatible with BuddyPress out of the box and as such cannot make guarantees on how it will handle.
We are considering BuddyPress compatibility in the future but right now we’re focusing on our next major feature release (6.0) due out soon. If there are others interested in BuddyPress, we would certainly take it into consideration. I should also note I’ve seen others using BuddyPress but [again] cannot guarantee how it will handle.
