We just got threats of legal action for the Sofia font you have in your theme which is unlicensed. You say that it is Google Fonts but you have embedded UNLICENCED FONTS.
We have now been fined for this.

Looks like you’re a bit confused.
You need to select Google Fonts in Customize > Theme settings > Fonts.
Everything else like images, fonts… are just used for Preview Purposes Only.

Not at all, you have supplied a theme where the main font that is the themes default is not even yours to distribute. The font Sofa Pro is in the themes assets folder. Irrelevant of using the google fonts or not you have distributed a font that should be licensed. Even if I chose the google fonts the fact the files are on the site theme folder is a breach.
All I know is that the font foundry want me to pay them $100 USD for the use of their font. If there was a risk of that happening to a purchaser of your product would you not give the customer a warning to make the changes – all your documentation says is use normal font or use google font.
