Alright, how do I start here.. over the past ten months I've been undertaking the en-devour of creating a platform using BuddyPress, Dokan, and the Kleo theme in conjunction with other systems. It's hefty, when it comes to ensuring all these things play nice.
Truthfully, I tried many routes before Kleo but Kleo was.. just the absolute winner. There are a few serious problems though, and if they were resolved I'd recommend this theme to every single person.
- Everything excluding the cons.
- Documentation EXISTS but is.. hit or miss.
- Updates.. slowed down but support seemed to be good.
This is more of a global issue of a direct lack and preparation for WooCommerce based websites through Kleo. It's clearly got a focus, but if you use any THIRD PARTY plugins that rely on the Kleo Theme's CSS, derived off WooCommerce functionality, you can expect all kinds of NOT fun problems.
Some examples would be Dokan's vendor dashboard, where 99% functions but you're stuck with system default font for half the toolbars, no styling at all for a base css class that exists with near every other theme. Next, and the worst, is the My Account & Product Info Tabs.
You will ABSOLUTELY need either knowledge on CSS at a level that questions why you'd need this theme / features at all OR find a PAID, QUALITY, alternative. CrocoBlock is my recommendation, but this is a pain in the ass to work around and I've almost resorted to using a "Ignore Kleo for all WooCommerce" method to resolve it. It'd be easier to work from nothing at that point.
> TL;DR Summary
I love this theme, it's incredible the amount of work and support that has been put in. It's just that the problems are going to be so relevant to everyone with e-Commerce on their sites, I find myself questioning just how these small problems are there when it would make it near perfect otherwise.
