I downloaded the Koala theme from Elements, and cannot put in a support ticket. There is not Mailchimp Option in the Customizer like your documentation says there will be. Please advise.
Hey cocobaby1979,
Thanks for using Koala.
In Koala the MainChimp functionality is provided only by the ‘Ecko Subscribe’ widget. This widget can be added to the footer or sidebar sections (more information on widgets can be found within the docs).
Envato elements items don’t include theme support – if you do require support you can purchase a theme license here on ThemeForest, which will provide access to our support site.
What is the latest wordpress version it supports?
Hey millan444,
Thanks for your interest in Koala.
Koala supports the latest version of WordPress, which as of writing is 6.0.2.
Koala has been updated to version 4.1.1, below is the change-log for this update.

+ Updated Demo Import Content
+ Updated Developer Files
Hi,
I am trying to import the demo content for the client (under Express WordPress Installation service) who purchased the theme.
However, the demo-contents directory is empty in the download archive. Can you please check or provide me the xml file.
Thanks, Enayet
Hey Enayet,
Please get in contact via our support site and we will be happy to assist with this.
Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I don’t have the purchase code at this moment. Let me check with the client. But surely the theme archive is missing the demo import xml file as mentioned in the documentation.
“When prompted to upload the demo XML file, navigate to the ‘demo-contents/themename-demo.xml’ file in your download archive.”
Hey Enayet,
We can’t attach files to ThemeForest comments, but can via our support site – you can create a ticket under the ‘Other’ category if don’t have the purchase code available.
I can confirm the demo content is mistakenly missing from our recent update and will push a update to correct this – thanks for letting us know.
Great. Thank you. Just submitted the ticket.
Hey Enayet,
No problem – we just responded to your ticket.
Thank you. Great support. I will let my client to know about the tremendous support.

Hey there!
Are you guys planning an update to make it Gutenberg optimized?
Does it work with the latest Wordpress release?
I’m very interested and love the theme.
Looking forward for your answer, Regards
Hey cheloco,
Thanks for your comments and interest in Koala.
Koala is compatible with the Gutenberg editor and the latest release of WordPress – our live demo is currently running the latest version.
We will be releasing an update for Koala in the near future which will add further Gutenberg optimization such as editor styling, new alignment options, and custom blocks.
Can you tell me where you can edit the background post-slider-background?
Hey Cmxbawz,
The cover background will use the featured image assigned to currently displayed post. This can be assigned within your post options, under the ‘Featured Image’ section.
If you need further assistance with this, or have any questions please get in contact via our support site and we will be happy to assist.

Hi Guys, i need to change the theme folder name to protect my site. I’ve changed the folder name and matched it to the style files. What about the functions.php? Do i have to change the Theme_id and Theme Name there as well including the ‚koala‘ in lines like: ‘primary’ => esc_attr__(‘Primary Menu’, ‚koala‘)?
Hey incubuss,
Changing the theme directory name will have no effect on the security of your WordPress install – regardless this can be changed without any edits to the theme files.
If you have any further questions please submit a new ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.
Hi, how customizable is the homepage layout? Do u have sample views of how the homepage could look like?
Hey l3ernarcl,
Thanks for your interest in Koala.
Koala is a blog style theme, opposed to a page-builder theme. The frontpage content is determined by your blogs posts and post options. In the live demo you will see a demonstration of all posts areas, such as the slider, grid, post-list and sidebar sections (which are customizer via widgets).

hi there! I’m thinking about purchasing your theme. However, I wasn’t sure if you support other Home page versions? I.e. I don’t need a large banner at the top of a page. I only need the staff that is underneath (posts section). Please let me know if it’s customisable.
Best, Jo
Hey Jo,
Thanks for your interest in Koala.
There is single homepage style (which is shown in the live demo), however this is customizable via the included theme options. If no posts are assigned to the slider or grid header section then it will not be shown.
After update to wp 4.7.2 customizer does not work. I disabled all plugins and nothing. I tested it with two other of your themes and the result is the same. I suppose conflicts.
Hey FlavioAlfi,
We have no current issues with the customizer and WordPress version 4.7.2. Please submit a ticket on our support site so we can investigate further.
How do I bulk change the ‘Theme Post Options” for all posts. It’s currently set too Standard (Minimal) as the default on install. I want all posts to be Banner (Half Page).
Going manually through each post will take a very long time. Please advise.
Hey osmanham,
Thanks for your purchase of Koala.
We just responded to your support ticket regarding this.
Hi, i just imported the demo. However, I can’t find the page example for Category page. In fact, all menu elements links right back to the main page. How can I have those page examples so I can work from that?
Hey team_guiker,
Thanks for your purchase of Koala.
The category pages are auto-created when you assign a new post category – these can be edited via the ‘Posts – Categories’ section of your dashboard. If you’re having issues with this create a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.
