I’ve purchased your great theme KOI.
I would like to know if there is any chance to change the stacked images gallery layout. I need to have every image in a smaller size and with a grid layout like the homepage. Moreover I need a lightbox gallery when clicking on the image (like the one that comes when clicking on the magnifying glass of the homepage images).
Can I have thumbnails in the homepage gallery lightbox?
I hope this could be possible.
Do you mind requesting support through our official support channel ( http://themebeans.com/support )? It’s much more effective streamlining support communication instead of this commenting system
My thumbnail rollovers do not seem to be working even though I have Enable Portfolio Sliding Grid checked. Also, if I resize my browser window down to mobile sizes, the thumbnail rollovers appear, but stay on permanently. Any help is appreciated.

Just submitted a ticket. Thanks!
Really want to start using your theme, as I’ve just purchased it. Would be great to have the demo content to get started. The link you’ve provided to koi.xml is no longer working though. Can you please provide again?
Just bought your theme ( nice and clean , loving it) and i would like to know if there is a way to get the demo version to start with ? Many thanks . David
Hey Hyperion101, we do have a Premium Installation service to set up a theme install exactly like the demo.
Glad you’re liking Koi!
Hi, I love this theme but have recently a CSS problem. When writing text in a page all formatting disappears. Images drop to the left. Images and neither the portfolio can be updated because the “pencil” is missing when you click on the item. I’ve checked this in different browsers so it is not a browser issue. The problem appeared after the latest update and isn’t there in the 2015 theme. CSS works there and the “pencil” is visible in the editor.
I would love to have this fixed as I have an exhibition coming up so I need to update my page. www.douwe.no
I’ve tried to find personal support on your support pages but there is no way to contact you so I do it here.
Kind regards, Douwe
Oh, and I tried to disable all plugins apart from the bean ones
Hi there! Thanks for purchasing one of our themes! Please note that support is operated through our Help Center.
Is the images responsive? Is there a way to display them full screen on a browser? (Instead of having to scroll down to see the full image)
Does the portfolio gallery work only with square images?
The images display 100% the width of the screen. If your images are really really tall, then the viewer will need to scroll to see the whole image.
The portfolio is designed to utilize 400×300 images but you can modify that by changing the value in the functions.php file, line 151 (http://thmbns.co/djah).
If you still need help, contact us at our Help Center. Thanks!
Hi, I have contacted you a couple of times now via the support and am still waiting for an answer. Or my answers end up in a place where I don’t see them. Where is the tickets overview on your support? It seems non exisistent… Am I missing something? I have stylesheet problems or something anyway. I would like you to respond. I am waiting for a week now… I am posting it here out in the open to urge you to take up this matter and to take it seriously. I have an exhibiton coming up and am considering buying a new template because you just dont give me any help…
I have just looked through our support system for this user name and also for any tickets in the last two weeks for this theme. The last ticket for this theme was at the beginning of July and by another member.
Maybe your support queries are going to the wrong location?
Hi! I finally managed to implement your theme and I’m really happy with it-thanks for the great work! In care of interest you can find it here: www.this-play.com
Looking good Emanuel!
Great theme. I’m wondering how difficult it would be to make the left side nav bar stick when scrolling, so the logo and hamburger don’t go away?
Also, are you guys available to help with some other customization? Mostly style/layout tweaks. But also potentially different content/layout for home page?
Yes we can help you with fixing the header with a little CSS via our support
For customization help we do offer a service for this as well, you can learn more about this here https://themebeans.com/customizations/
Once you have the theme reach out to our support for help with the header question here http://themebeans.com/support/
Great! Thanks. I had already inquired about customization via your site but thought this might be a better way to reach you. Can you message me directly? Or via my inquiry at themebeans.com?
Clicking on an image on the grid currently takes you to that page… is there any way to have those link to a pop-up ‘lightbox’.
In it’s current form it takes potential viewers from the main page, and to the portfolio item page (in this case, videos). They then need to go back to the main page, which reloads every time etc…
Is there a way to add it so the image would pop-up to a player – they close – it goes away, they can just click another video. (using something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-video-lightbox/ )
This theme works for many things, but we’re looking at other options that might offer this.
Sorry for the delay over the weekend. Please note that support is operated through our Help Center.
Sorry guys, but I don’t understand a fuck about how this works… I bought that theme today to set up on my wp (functionning in local via MAMP) and I wonder why my portfolios created with the plug in are not showing up anywhere, and why my home page is not showing any image either event thought I followed the documentation way…can anyone help me please ? I feel rather fooled…
A list of the plugins necessary to have the site as it shows on the demo ?
By the way, why don’t we have any PDF int the package explaining how to settle the theme ?
Thanks a lot a lot a lot.
Hi Louise, first thing’s first.
Please refrain from using derogatory language – it’s unacceptable.
Also, please be courteous to myself and the team, as we’d prefer to maintain a high level of professionalism throughout our correspondence. We’re all humans here.
I totally understand website setup and unfamiliar code can be intimidating and frustrating at times, but we cannot help you without solid & constructive communication between the two of us.
Now onto trying to help:
Secondly, you’ve mentioned that you’ve followed the documentation – yet also state that there’s no document explaining how to set up the theme. You’ve contradicted yourself there. We do in fact have a help guide available, both online and in the theme package that you’ve received.
To create your portfolio page, you need to first create a page using the “Portfolio” template. This template notices that you have the Bean Portfolio Plugin activated and will pull your published portfolio posts.
You also need to have featured images uploaded to each portfolio post (otherwise, how could a post display?).
If you have any further questions, I advise you to contact us via the help center – it’s literally impossible for us to diagnose your particular situation without any details, facts, URLs, login credentials, etc.
I apologize if I sounded direspectful. You’re right, spending hours on it was very frustrating. As working in local I don’t have any URL to give you at the moment and thanks to a friend we found a way to unblock me. Yes, you’re right I visited the online help page. Don’t know if it’s supposed to be a file in the package about it but in my case, in the help folder I only find pictures and psd files…
Anyway, thanks for replying and try to sort out my case.
oups, I mean css files, no psd.
Like another user, my thumbnail rollovers do not seem to be working even though I have Enable Portfolio Sliding Grid checked. Also, if I resize my browser window down to mobile sizes, the thumbnail rollovers appear, but stay on permanently.
You may need to uncheck it, save the options, close the Customizer, and then open it back up, check it, and save. Sometimes the Customizer just needs a little love tap
If that does not work, do you mind contacting support through the official Help Center for support related questions?
Pre sale question; is it possible to activate infinite scrolling on the listing?
Hi there! Not at the moment, but we’re considering developing that feature as it’s been asked for a few times now.
Anyone know about this, I have some portfolio items, and set this as my home page.. only got home and contact.. now the overlay with title isn’t showing up. but when i open console and preview it on mobile the overlay apears… did i missed something? cant find any option
Also the portfolio images that you upload aren’t lined center correctly and is a pain to figure it out since its minified css
Hello, i just installed your theme, but the sliding overlay on the homepage portfolio grid does not seem to work…
I tried switching it on and off from the customizer, but still doesn’t work.
It gives an error in the console:
TypeError: $(this).hoverdir is not a function. (In ’$(this).hoverdir()’, ’$(this).hoverdir’ is undefined)
Hey there! Do you mind emailing support(at)themebeans(dot)com with your URL so I can take a look for you? We’ll figure it out
