Even with the Kudos User Guide, this theme was super difficult for me to work with. I ended up having to buy WP Bakery even though it was supposed to be one of the included plug ins. Also, the WooCommerce plug in that came with this theme was outdated, so I had to go through a process of learning how to update it on my own (using code) and make sure it would still function with Kudos (which at the time hadn't been updated in over a year).
I do want to point out that I was brand new to Wordpress at the time I downloaded Kudos (September 2020), so my challenges were from a mixture of learning Wordpress and Kudos at the same time. So please keep in mind I already lacked familiarity with everything in general and perhaps you won't have these same struggles as me if you're a Wordpress whiz. I gave it 3 stars for this reason.
I'm sad that I will no longer be using Kudos to build my site as I had originally desired. Personally, it did not feel beginner friendly. The design was really nice, and the theme had everything I wanted for my site, but it just didn't work out for me when it came time to actually build. I ended up purchasing another theme and have been building with that one instead.

Sorry to hear this but please understand that WPBakery does come bundled within the theme and you do not need to activate any license for it as bundled plugins do get updated when the theme is.
You can read more about it here and you certainly do not need to purchase the plugin.
When it comes to WooCommerce also there has been an update of the theme which supports the latest version. Besides of that, running on an older version of the theme you should know that it is compatible with the latest version of WordPress as well as it is compatible with the latest WooCommerce as well. You will get this message though but it will not affect the performance of the theme.
We are sorry to heat this however we do believe that our theme is well documented. We do understand that it might be confusing sometimes but you can find our themes documentation here as well as many great articles, and video tutorials that might help you on the way developing your website.
Also, Commercial themes on Theme Forest often offer the framework of their own option, and they offer a lot of options, functionalities, and custom elements, and the learning curve can be steep sometimes, especially when you are facing some new theme for the first time.

Bad documentation.
Can't import demo data. Times out.
Same thing with installing theme which is 17mb.
Response from support is intermittent.
Wasted 10 hours installing this them and getting nowhere.

We could not find any of your tickets on our support forum.
Please note, Kudos theme has only one demo site. This means that database is slightly larger when compared to our other themes utilizing multiple demos. What it means is that there is a chance of incomplete demo import process on some shared hosting packages with limited resources. However, there is a workaround, to use gzip compression and native WP import option combined with our one click import option. This is well known procedure to our support agents and we're performing it or regular basis in behalf of our clients as a part of standard support scope. Please kindly reconsider your rating, so hopefully you do realize that our theme has nothing to do with server issues you have experienced.

I wrote two negative reviews earlier but I have to say that support has helped me through all my issues that I faced. They offered me a refund but I do not want a refund because the site is nearly built and it's looking great.
This was a difficult project for me as I am not a developer, and the theme does require a small amount of knowledge for it to be successful (very small). It seems that if you do know your way around WP you'll find this theme easy to use. It took a fair amount of time to get familiar with it. I do wish (as another person said on a Select support ticket) there were videos to help, and I do wish there was a bit more of explanation on their documentation, but over time, if you're new, you'll come to understand how it all works.
I was so frustrated at first, but I do have to say Select has always spoken to me and treated me with respect, even responded to my tickets after leaving two bad reviews. They were willing to email me as well — and all of that I have very much appreciated.
Their response team seems to respond in the sleeping hours if you are in the US, so normally I'd submit a ticket at night and have my answer in the morning, except on weekends. Always polite too, even when I was frustrated.
I guess I thought I'd get support immediately, but once I saw how it worked, I knew what to expect.
Overall the them is beautiful. I have a lot more work to do this week on it, and it seems to load a slowly right now, but I am confident that support will guide me thru the rest of my experience. They had to hold my hand, and for that I very much appreciate them.

I've bought this theme some weeks ago...Really enjoy it ! I take pleasure to configure. Thanks for your great work - I specially appreciate some details like the "Full width scrolling text in background" or "Select product list" for woocommerce :)

I have purchased several themes and even though many can look great, the support is what makes the difference to being able to produce a successful website.
Support with Kudos has been excellent and super quick.
