How do we add multiple Quote “separator sections” like in the theme demo, and not just one at the top and one at the bottom?
You would need to edit index.php, and duplicate the sections that are already there. You could maybe remove the logos section and add one in there?
You answered this question from another user recently and i am wanting to do the same thing.
Their question was-
One question. The “one page sections/pages” controlled from the theme options are so simple to use BUT if we wanted to add another section is that easy to do?
If we add another page it reloads to it breaking the one page slide effect. I guess we could just replicate one of the other sections under a different name in the PHP and add it back into the options panel but was wondering if there was an easier way to do it or are the sections on offer fixed?
Can you give me pointers on how to achieve this.
The sections are indeed fixed. You can move them around (via drag & drop) and also remove sections that you do not require. But to add more sections you would need to edit index.php, and add, for example a section called ‘stuff’, then duplicate elements from functions.options.php (found in admin/functions/), so you could have fields where you can add data for your new section. Then when adding a new menu item ie; stuff, make sure it has a custom url of #stuff, so it will scroll to the correct section.
Some good, no great news from GuuThemes, is that we are bringing on a dedicated, and absolutely awesome support team member from the 1st of June (they also provide support for many of ThemeForest’s top authors), so I can concentrate solely on new themes, bug fixes, and updates.
We hope this will enable us to bring you not only great looking, easy to use themes, but also AAA support.
Again, many thanks for your purchase, and support!!
Great theme. Beautiful design. Struggling to amend the colour of the social icons in header though.
Thanks for those kind words, very much appreciated.
Could you please open a ticket, so I can view a URL etc..
I’m just curious whether you can show the logo the whole time someone scrolls? I notice it disappears as soon as you do.
Not without editing a few of the theme files. Primarily in header.php, where if you look you will see the logo/nav bar is actually made up of two divs. If you want to have the logo stay in view on scroll, then you will need to look at making this into 1 div.
I am thinking of purchasing this theme, it looks fantastic! However, I am a little concerned with just how well this theme will integrate with the latest versions of BuddyPress and bbPress? I plan to have an activity, members, groups, login, register, and forums page and it is critical to maintain theme consistency throughout. What assurance can you provide me that this theme will meet my needs in these areas? Do you have any screenshots or examples displaying BuddyPress or bbPress compatibility?
Have just noticed your latest post. I have not personally tested with bbPress, but I see know reason (with some styling tweaks etc..) why they wont perfectly side by side.
never mind, already bought it. It is integrating better than I suspected, definitely will need some tweaking though.
Great stuff, hope all is working out.
Does Kula support a child theme? I am having difficulty editing the styl.css
Kula does indeed support Child Themes.
how so? I have created a child theme using the standard WordPress method shown here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes#Why_use_a_Child_Theme.3F and the child theme’s style.css will not over-ride Kula theme style.css. That doesn’t seem like supporting child themes to me.
Until I can see a URL, you must understand this is a little hard to diagnose with your special case.
Please open a ticket at the support forum and I can take a look.
I opened a ticket this morning at #58233. I just opened another one with my url at Ticket #58372
I will take a look at the one with the URL. Will make things a little easier.
ok thanks, I am totally baffled by this. Please let me know asap.
I am beyond frustrated trying to get a child theme working on Kula, which should be a relatively simple task. I purchased this theme under the impression that child theme creation would be possible, as previously confirmed by you in earlier comments:
“509tyler: Does your theme support Child Themes?”
“guuthemes: It does indeed. Many thanks” (posted 1 month ago)
As far as I can tell, child themes are not supported in this theme using the standard child theme creation approach predominantly used in WordPress. I feel mis-led and would like a refund or a fully functioning work-around please.
Have just answered your ticket.
Latest update to version 1.5 does MUCH MUCH better for child theme compatibility. Thanks for the update. Cheers!
Glad the latest update fixed the issues. Again many thanks for your purchase, and support.
To be more specific…
I added wp-content>themes>kula-child>style.css with the following in it:
Theme Name: Kula Child
Description: Child theme for the Kula theme
Author: my name
I was under the impression that this would overide the main style.css for the theme, but it is not. How come?
Hello, I just installed the theme and I get this error:
"Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'FontAwesome::register_awesome_styles' was given in /home/digitala/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 406"
Can you help with this?
Which version of Kula do you have? You will find the version number in the Wordpress admin, and also at the top of style.css
Can you also check you are running the latest version of WordPress (currently 3.5.1)
Latest version of wordpress and theme version is Version: 1.4
Have installed it more then once this way and same error , I have no extra plugins or anything then basic wordpress install.
I have just tested on a fresh install of WordPress (3.5.1) and with version 1.4 of Kula, and do not get any error message??
Could you please open a ticket at – http://guuthemes.ticksy.com and I can then login and take a look.
Hello, where can we find patch notes, i see now its v1.5 and im using 1.3 still,
and whats the best way to update my site without loosing any customization?
I noticed that rudy713 was able to create a fixed header with his logo and social links displaying as a user scrolls down the page. It looks really cool:http://rudypospisil.com/ Could anyone offer any tips on how to accomplish this, I’m having a little trouble figuring it out. Kind of a noob at theme editing.
Is there an easy way to remove #header-global[role=”banner”] from individual pages I’ve created or at least a way to reduce the height?
How can I change the order of categories on the portfolio that displays on the main page? Like right now it starts with Show All, then each category, I would like to re-order them.
The main page does not load when “A static page” is selected in the “customize” section under “theme options” .. however it works when “your latest posts” is selected. However the mobile site then loads the latest post vs the static page. How do we get the static page to load on both mobile and web pages?
Trying to get type to fit in the overlay for the portfolio features, if a word is anything longer than 10 letters it gets cutoff. Is there a custom CSS to reduce the size of this particular title so it will fit in the overlay box?
UPDATE: Nevermind! Found it. Line 2040 of style.css. Thanks

Hi! I’m just looking for the “INSTRUCTIONS” guide that’s suppose to come with the file. Where is that located and what is called?
Hey there Sarah!
Please download the “Main Files” package from your Downloads section, you will find all the documentation and bonus files in there! You can download it by clicking the Download button in your Downloads section and not choose the “Installable WordPress Theme” but the “Main Files” package.

I found it however this template has really been an ongoing work around of trial and errors and Im on deadline now. Have had major issues linking pages – irregardless of the instructions – which Ive followed to a tea! Have read over and over again. Please help first thing Monday. thank you!
as I said, we don’t support in the item comments on themeforest, so if you could read through my last comment again and follow the suggestions, that would be great
All the best, Mel
Is it possible to install sample data? This would be really nice because I can than just replace areas rather than start from scratch?
Basically can I download a file with WP already in the file to just install. Yootheme does this and it makes things 100 times easier?
Hey there bryndustries!
