This is the best themeforest product I have purchased. BUY THIS THEME! Way easy to control and I like the time it saves in editing CSS. The form needs to have a captcha and be allowed to add and edit fields in the same drag and drop fashion as the rest of the builder. If you made a seperate plugin that is called FANTASY FORM BUILDER and made it the way you programmed the Kyte Buider I think it would be a huge improvement over contact form plugins out htere today. The way you can click drag the widths of the columns in the builder is just plain genius. I need a bit of help though as the scroll to code broke and the sliding no longer works fr my page sections. I sent a support ticket for that in the forums.
1. You can download and install Contact Form 7 to create the forms of your dreams
2. If you need further help, feel free to use our ticket service;
uh. Ha ha ha. Contact 7 is hardly a plugin that is for your dreams. But yes I will install it.
I am falling in love with your Kyte theme for Wordpress. I have a few
questions before buying it.
The first one is, even if the theme is optimized for a one-page layout, can
it be used for multiple pages (like any regular theme) ? I will just keep
the one-page layout as a regular homepage.
Talking about a standalone page, I saw you posted this link in the comments on Kyte’s Themeforest page: http://www.madeinebor.com/kyte/gallery/
So my second question is, is it possible to add a full-width header image
for each page (it won\’t bother me if it is required to create a specific
page template). ?
I look forward to hearing from you, keep continue your amazing work !
1. Yeah, it support multiple pages as well.
2. Yeah, you can use the layout we use to make our one-page homepage to use the first section as a full width section, just like our revolution slider example.
Hello, great theme…I bought it a few days ago. I just have one question:
When the page scrolls from one section to the next, the speed is perfect. When it scrolls from the very bottom back to the top I would like to slow it down a little. Can this be done? How do I do it?
Glad you’re enjoying the theme though Awesome!
HI, I bought Kyte a few days ago and it’s looking great and easy to work with – great work. I have one question I hope you can help with: I’d like to have 2 Team sections (one for “Directors”). Is it possible?
Thanks in advance,
Hey there Ethan! Thanks
Not currently possible, but noted in the future developments list for the theme
Hi and thanks, I’ll look out for it!
Hi, It crashes on my Iphone? I have 2 and both crash!!!!
Seems to be a problem.
Love the theme, but not working good on iphones is nog good.
Please react if this is a common issue:)
Just tested a couple of iPhones with no issues, but I’ll take a look into this obviously
I purchased this template a while ago, but when we enable the permalinks the tabs dont work! Please help..
Please post a ticket at our support site with your URL so we can investigate this for you;
Ok…this is weird, it will not update the page title for the ABOUT US page, but does all the others with my new font choices.
Any idea why?
Font is the same all across all sections for me, have you cleared your browser cache?
I did yes….in the About Us page where it reads “Just like moms” that font is different than the font on the Events & Catering Page, where it reads “We can make your event…..” are different fonts despite them both being marked as h1?
Sorry, they’re both rendering as ‘Fjalla One’ across all browsers here you’ll be glad to know
I have looked at a few of your products tonight and your demo sites are incredibly slow (like ~1 minute)!
My hosting was being renewed yesterday, if anything was running slowly it was my hosting, not the templates themselves, I do everything I can to optimise speed in the templates themselves
Great theme indeed!
Can we have video in the showcase portfolio? I currently do not see any. That would be a great plus for designers.
You totally can Click on the lightning bolt in the showcase portfolio so see a youtube video in action.
I downloaded your theme and it’s finally starting to make sense. I’m a total newbie and it’s a bit of a learning curve
My first question is about galleries. I made 4 galleries with unique IDs in the kyte Page Builder. And created 4 pages with one ID embedded. I assumed that each gallery would only show the pictures embedded in just that one gallery. Instead, I can also see the images from the other galleries.
Are the galleries not independent from each other? Can I separate them somehow?
Did you make 4 separate page templates with 4 separate galleries in the page builder? The galleries can be made separate, so just ensure they all live in different page templates
If you need further help, please use our ticket service;
Yes I did, going to get a ticket!
Thanks for your ticket
I’m very interested in Kyte as a portfolio site, but have some questions.
Within a showcase, portfolio or gallery is it possible to have the option, upon hovering on an image, to select either viewing a post or going to the lightbox for an enlarged view? I see something similar to that in some of your other themes (but I like this theme better overall).
And is it possible to reposition the + for enlargement to the middle of the image and change it’s size and opacity?
Are there any limitations on the number of images in a portfolio, showcase or gallery?
I also notice that with the parallax panels the scrolling gets very jittery in the demo and sometimes the fixed menu breaks up. Is that a known problem, browser specific (I’m using Safari 6.0.5, or is it unusual to have that happen?
2. Yes, but you’ll need to modify the theme CSS to do this.
3. The only limit is in the ‘image’ portfolio type which limits to 10 images per post, the gallery post type can show more than this though
4. It’s the themeforest bar / my demo bar, remove that and view the theme as it’s meant to be;
Thanks for the response. I’m a little unclear about your answer for ‘3.’ I see Showcase, Lightbox and Gallery. Both Showcase and Lightbox in the demo have 12 images, so I’m not sure what you mean by the “image” portfolio type, which has a limit of 10.
Ahh ok, in the showcase portfolio, click the 3rd items (pens and pencils) you’ll see text and 2 large images. The only restriction here is having up to 10 images displayer per portfolio post, but this can be upped if required with some very small custom work.
i’m going to purchase this theme already actually. here have some idea to makes your theme more perfect:
when scroll, the content will hover move over the background images. may i know will your theme able to do that?
Thanks for the ideas Noted.
before i purchase, may i know;
does it compatible with woocommerce plugin?
No, Kyte is not ready for any eCommerce plugins at the moment.
if i want to use kyte template, how is your advice, if my site is with a few woocommerce products (less than 20 item)?
can i manually call the woocommerce widget to the home page at our journal/blog section?
(i’m not wp & bootstrap programmer, my partner is, but he not around)
Kyte has not been developed or tested with WooCommerce in mind, so you’ll likely need to have to extend the theme with custom work if you want to include it with the theme.
This is an awesome theme! I think it is working pretty well on my personal web page: christiankarlsmose.dk
One thing though: When having opened a portfolio post, pushing the browser ‘back’ button will exit from the webpage instead of just the post. I know there is a dedicated ‘back’ button in the theme, but some users will push the browser’s button instead. Is there a way to change this, so that the browser’s ‘back’ button will have the same function as the theme’s?
I’ll forward this question to the HTML developers of the theme, Elemis and see what they think. I’m sure this is something they’ve considered and perhaps ran into potential problems, but if I can implement something like this, I definitely will
I’m having some trouble with the rev slider. Would it be possible to have the slider in your demo to import and modify from?
Can’t get to figure out how to repeat your text with black transparent background.
Thanks a lot!
The slider is included in the ‘Demo XML Data’ folder of your main download, it’s called; home.txt.html – and can be imported directly into revolution slider.
Thank you for this great theme! I’m still in the process of setting it up and I wanted to ask you something. Is it possible to get the same scroll effect this theme has in the buttons on the pricing table? Right now it just instantly pops to the corresponding contact page, it would look much smoother if it would have the same functionality as the rest of the site.
Hey there, glad you like it
I’m afraid that the smooth scrolling and loading relies heavily on a predefined set of parameters, so it won’t be possible to add this to any areas that are truly customisable (like pricing tables) without making some theme modifications directly for your own needs.
Thanks for your swift response. I solved this by using an mailto: instead. Thanks!
Could I perhaps ask you something else? I’m struggling trying to create a template that has no green bar and no page title in it – I want to use it as a child page so that it appears to be part of it’s parent page but I can’t seem to get that working…
Just seen your ticket on my support site, will be answering there.
Thanks Tommus, noticed that you did. Looking forward to the new version of this theme – do you have any idea, more or less, when it’ll be live..?
Yes, Thursday or Friday this week the update will be available
My site seems very slow and I’m trying to make pages instead of a one-page. Is there any documentation other than the very short description in the theme documentation?
I have added test pages (page with no parent-page builder-add to menu) but nothing happens when I click the link. What am I missing?
I love the theme but I’m afraid it loads too slow and it crashes on the iphone. But I don’t want to loose the theme
If you want to use multiple pages, be sure to add the ‘external’ class to each of your menu links, the process is described in the documentation, this is to disable the single page behaviour per link in your menu.
Thanks so much! Do you think this may make the site quicker since not everything needs to be loaded into just one page?
Oh definitely, you should also add a cache to the site for increased speed;
Is it possible to make multiple portfolio with separated content? You can now select all categories, or a singular category when adding a portfolio.
But it would be great to be able to select just a few categories. That way you can have portfolios that are independent of each other, content wise.
I’m able to do it when I make separate portfolios in the kyte page builder. Then I add multiple IDs to a single page but the thumbs show up in vertical order. And I don’t know how to fix that.
I really appreciate your patience to help a newbie like me! Thanks!
You’ll want to make a few definite categories for your portfolio content by which you want to separate them, so if I had a Web Design, Web Development & Photography business, I’d ensure that each post had at least one of those categories, then I can add others if I’d like, but those 3 are the ‘key’ categories.
Next I’d add my portfolio blocks, separated to these 3 ‘key’ categories, rather than trying to show content across loads of categories.
I hope that makes sense, if you need further theme help, use our support ticket service;
I am super interested in purchasing this theme, but there is one option that I really want which may sound trivial, but I develop websites for UK celebrities and I want the celebrities picture beside the testimonial they provide. I see on your demo site the rotating testimonials do not have pictures. Is it possible that could change or a way I can get around it?
Awaiting your response.
Well the testimonials block in the page builder would need extending somewhat that’s all, not the biggest job in the world but certainly a little custom development required.
If you choose to buy the theme and have this customisation done, you can contact our customisation partners through the contact form here; http://www.madeinebor.com/customisations/
Great, thanks. Im pretty sure I’ll end up buying your theme. Its by far the best one page theme I’ve found so far, and I’ve looked at every single one of them on TF.
I’m actually updating the theme tomorrow, I’ve quickly built in support for you to throw in an image so it looks like this;
And you can do that by simply adding your image to the ‘author’ field of the testimonials like this;
<img src="http://kyte:8888/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/icon-arrows.png" />
So as of the next update, no customisation required
Ha, thats fantastic. Im buying it right now. Very impressed, thank you.
No problem, remember, the theme needs the update before the above will work, that update should be approved at some point tomorrow, or early on Friday, depending on how fast ThemeForest put it through
Hi Tommus, do you take on private modification work outside of the standard theme support? I’d like a modification made to the testimonials area and was hoping you might be able to help? For you, it would probably take ten minutes. For me, ten hours. I have mocked up how I want my testimonials to be displayed… http://bit.ly/1gV9bKs or http://bit.ly/19ij68U
We’ve partnered with a theme modification company to do things like this, you can contact them through the contact form here;
Thanks. Think there might be a problem with the page you linked me to. Looking at it on a Mac using Chrome, Firefox or Safari, the contact form doesn’t display properly. Please see screenshot below. I’ve filled out the form and sent it off by using tab on the keyboard, but others might not think to do that. http://bit.ly/19UCR3a
Oh thanks, I’ll take a look into that
I have bought your theme and have tried to create some pages, but i wish to check is how come when i click on the link, they bring me to the section where the page is, but the page stop at a position that the title of the page was being cut off abit on top. Is it some setting that i need to do to change it?
The other issue would be my home page link do not work, when i click on the link, it do not bring me back to the place where i place the slider. I am a starter trying to learn. Hope to hear from you soon.
Please leave a ticket at our support site so that we can help, be sure to leave your URL in the ticket also!
P.S – check the documentation, did you add the ‘home’ class to the home menu item?
first of all great theme! My quick question: how can i setup the navigation buttons for each project in the Portfolio page like i see it on the demo website? (Next, Prev, Back) And AJAX loading for projects isn’t works
1. Make sure you have your permalinks set to ‘post-name’ in “settings” => “permalinks”.
2. If that doesn’t work, leave a ticket with URL and WP Login at;
I’ve created a ticket, thank you
